Came here for lunch time and found out that they have salad bar open for lunches! What a pleasant surprise! They have eggrolls and spring rolls at the salad bar as well two different options of soups! We ordered pad thai and yellow curry they were both delicious but we were already getting a little full from the salad bar so we had to take our curry to go! Service was good, there were many servers there to accommodate for the busy lunch crowd! Nice place! Would like to try other items on the menu as well!
First time coming to this Thai restaurant. We ordered pad Thai and curry they were pretty favorable and got texture especially on pad thai! What I also liked was salad and soup as well as some other side dishes and sweet buffet! I really enjoyed the vegetarian soup! To me, that was the best thing out of all the items I tried! Lunch special is definitely recommended time to go there! Cheers
We enjoyed very friendly, fast service on an early Friday night. The food was very tasty, came out piping and large portions. The food and service was great, the improvement points would be in regards to curb appeal and look. It could a little refresh but overall a great experience.
Ordered lunch to go from here and overall really enjoyed my meal. I also appreciated how well they packed everything to make sure nothing would leak out. That being said, I do wish the portion size was better especially for the price.
Hunger strikes during a shopping trip and we are around research boulevard, Anuya gets a craving for Thai food, so the first thought was Thai Ladda on Parmer. Then I realized that we haven't tried a new Thai place in a while. Luckily Thai cuisines was in the same direction and closer and there was a mention of buffet on the side which was intriguing so off we went. They have nice shaded outside seating although the metal table and chairs could be better, inside is nice too. We got the cashew chicken and Pad kee mow with fried Tofu. Lunch meals come with the salad , soup and dessert buffet station which was awesome. The soups were very good, the salad choices were decent and the pearl pudding was delicious. Our main course dishes were good too. One warning though, spice level 2/5 can be spicy still, its safe to go with 1 if you are not sure. The service was good and we are going to be back here again.
During weekday lunch, you can easily make a meal from the all you can eat soup and salad bar at Thai cuisine. It costs $12.95 as of April 2025. On my Wednesday visit, they didn't have my favorite items on the bar, but it was still very good and a good lunch. For soup they had Tom Yum and Tom Jerd, which I hadn't tried before, but it was very tasty. They had spring rolls, both soft and fried, both of which had tofu inside. There was a decent salad with nice fresh lettuce, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, dried cranberries, carrots, etc., along with peanut sauce, honey mustard sauce, and an unmarked sauce that was sweet but complex. The dessert is a sweet tapioca pudding. It seemed to me that they had dialed down the heat on the Tom Yum soup and perhaps on the Tom Jerd. That's OK by me, but some people might prefer the spicy versions. Apparently, they rotate the soup/salad bar items on weekdays. I talked to a server, who told me that a couple of my favorites, Crab Rangoon and Tom Gha soup, are on the buffet bar on Tuesdays, so I'll make a point of coming back some Tuesday. The entrées that I have ordered here in the past were good, I thought, although to my taste, I've had better Thai here in Austin, and certainly in Thailand. This place gets busy around lunchtime, but the servers are friendly and efficient, and the noise level is not terrible.
I would say that I like the space here. The inside is spacious and nice for like a casual sit down. Comfortable vibes. Our server was super friendly. Had the fried tofu, egg rolls, and pad Thai. I would say that the sweet and sour sauce for the tofu was a little watery for me personally, could pack more of a flavor punch. I think the pad Thai was pretty tasty! The egg rolls are great too.
I knew I've been here in the past but wasn't sure so we came for lunch one afternoon about 12:30ish. It was moderately busy and patrons kept coming. We placed our order then went up to the side bar. I started with the daily soup that was very flavorful, and also tried a spring roll, took 1 bite and couldn't eat the rest, the eggroll appeared very thin with very little filling that was obvious. The sauces were not worth mentioning but did enjoy the soup. When the entrees arrived I the pad Thai portion was generous however the shrimp and soft tofu did not have any flavor, the flavor wasn't bad but could have used more flavor. The seafood combo my husband had were very skimpy, the squid was very chewy, it's the frozen squid that you see at the Asian stores. I was embarrassed for him since it was not much food at all for a man. Luckily he had some things from the side bar to help satisfy his hunger. While he was finishing up he pulled out something hairy or just eerie looking, I immediately grossed out or lost my lunch! I could not make it out so when we flagged the staff, we asked her what she thought it was, she acted just as perplexed as we as I was obviously still, super grossed. She took it to the kitchen and asked. She came back and said it was from the mussel shell, said it was seaweed like what looked to me like a leggy cricket or some sort of insect after that, somehow we didn't feel very confident with the cleanliness of the food. I immediately responded with "so it just wasn't cleaned well"? As she walked away with no apology. End to this experience. I have better establishments to frequent and will continue to remain in my comfort zone. Free doesn't necessarily mean good.
Tried this place out for lunch. They have a bar available that has all you want of two soups, a type of fried roll, spring roll, salad, toppings and some rice pudding looking thing for dessert. I ordered pad ke mao. I got half spice which has a nice kick. Everything tasted pretty good! Tom kha had a chicken grissle, but it happens. Still good!!! My entree came out really fast. People working there seemed really nice. I will definitely come back. Lunch special is a nice deal with alot of options!
My friends have raved about this place, especially for the unlimited soup and salad buffet. The unlimited soup and salad is only available during lunch, but they do offer lunch during the weekends which is nice. I was slightly hesitant to see how good this food was because most people talked about the value of this place. I ordered the Pad Thai with spice level 1 and was pleasantly surprised how good it tasted. I really liked the flavor and the spice level 1 was pretty spicy for me. If you are not a huge fan of spice, I would recommend no spice because spice level 1 was more spicy than I had expected. I thought the portion size was pretty good and the staff were super friendly. There was plenty of space on a Sunday afternoon and I'd come back to try their other dishes! I had the Tom Kha Gai soup from the soup and salad bar and it was really delicious. Spicy but the flavor was great.
I have gotten delivery and eaten here in person and they make the best Mussuman curry I've ever had. The tables are clean, the staff was kind. I saw them accommodate a table of 10 people with ease. Food comes out pretty quick and delicious. We are regulars and I don't know of any place that makes the mussuman curry as rich and flavorful as Thai Cuisine!
The pad soo wen had Raw eggs. Manager would not take it off the bill. The server said she would have to pay it if I didn't. So I was charged for a soup and one spring roll $14. The server was very nice. The soup and salad comes with the meal. I couldn't eat the meal at all. So if you went to a place like olive garden and the main course was inedible would they make you pay 12.95 for this? Terrible today. I've never had a bad experience before here.
We had a great time and great food here! We shared the pad see ew with beef, panang curry with tofu, and chicken teriyaki. The rice came in the shape of a heart, which was really cute. I liked the pad see ew the best. It was a perfect sweetness level for the sauce, and the beef tasted great. I also liked the panang curry and chicken teriyaki, although the portion for the chicken teriyaki was slightly smaller than I would expect. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kind. Parking in the plaza's lot was full, but we found parking behind the restaurant. The restroom was clean.

Everyone here seems to rave about the lunch buffet, but all I've done is dinner. It's consistently great. I've usually had the noodle dishes, which are always good. I've also done the appetizer combo platter, which is huge but yummy. The service is just generally okay, not too good or bad. The one thing you HAVE to try here is the coconut ice cream. The texture and flavor is divine, and it has pieces of mango in it which you think sounds weird but it's great. Even the waitress told us she likes to get a scoop for herself after work. Pros: -lunch specials with all you can eat appetizer bar! This includes springs rolls, egg rolls, salad bar, soups, fried wontons,tapioca dessert, fried tempura with an assortment of veggies! -pad kee Mao hits the spot! -you can't go wrong with pad Thai, pad see ew and curries -I've gotten the curry pasta and asked for flat rice noodles to substitute- it was very spicy but very good if you like both curry and noodles! -servers are very accommodating for any sized group and for what you want in your dish -A lot of the time they have groupon deals! A friend of mine used to work here, and even now that he's not there, he goes back to pay for their food. That says a lot about cleanliness of the kitchen and how delicious the food is! I was staying with my friends on the north side of Austin and they chose this restaurant for us due to its convenience and it historically being pretty darn tasty for them. I hate to do this, but this would totally be a four star place, save for the insufficient staffing on this particularly Friday evening. Thai Cuisine definitely isn't pricey, but it is a tad bit more expensive than similar Thai restaurants. I can't say the portions were super generous either. They were more than a typical serving, but perchance you were starving like some of my party - it was a one-meal serving. We must've waited at least fifteen minutes before our drink orders were taken and since our large group ordered sake, the waiter assumed the rest of us would just have water. So for the people who wanted tea or soda, too bad so sad. It took at least another twenty minutes for our food orders to be submitted - but during that period, the waiter was scrambling to find extra menus and attend to the other tables. I'd have to say the restaurant was at nearly full capacity and there were only two people waiting. Poor guys! Our waiter was visibly harried and overwhelmed and sprinting about. He was really kind and nice, so I actually felt sorry for him. Thai Cuisine, please considering having more people working on Friday nights! I had the Spicy Kra Pow with tofu and brown rice. It was actually spicy, hurray for that! I actually felt a nice pleasant burn in my mouth. It was flavored with some sort of slightly sour, but spicy pepper concoction. The vegetables were tender and the tofu was firm and flavorful. So yes, it was delicious and I had a generous amount for leftovers the next day. I would say the restaurant is is pretty casual with your typical Asian decor. They actually have Yelp stickers plastered about and a Yelp notice in the restroom, hah! This is our favorite Thai place and we have been regulars for years. Tonight I a crispy roach in my pad Thai. When I called the restaurant to explain the situation and as for a refund I was told I couldn't because I had ordered it through a delivery service. The delivery service isn't much better to addressing the seriousness of the unsanitary and unsafe experience. But if the restaurant can take my money for the pad Thai they should very well be willing to find a solution. They were not. Will NEVER eat there again. read more

Brought the family here this evening to enjoy some great Thai food and to see if the good reviews were true:) Only reasons we're at a 4 and not a 5... it's definitely more pricey than most Thai restaurants I've been to. We paid $14.00 for shrimp fried rice that had nothing in it except massive onions and small bits of egg (no peas, carrots, bean sprouts.) The portion size was half the size we were expecting and was more suitable for two people to share instead of the table. Also, the duck ($15)was nearly inedible with it mostly being bones and was soaked in grease and coated your mouth in a very thick pork rind/ burned peanut oil taste. Also more veggies and fruits than actual duck. We almost sent it back but decided not to be a handful. Other than that, really excellent service. Smiling faces, multiple happy servers refilling our drinks and taking plates. Nice atmosphere with actual Thai music playing. Very calm and clean. Nice location as well and easy to access with plenty of parking. We will definitely return! read more

Amazing....lunch date with my girl and both of our dishes were delicious. She got the Pad Se Ewe with Shrimp and I got the Spicy Cashew Chicken. The veggie spring rolls and fried mix rolls were also very delicious for our appetizers. We will definitely be back!! read more

Good food and service. Fair warning however if you attempt weekdays during lunch. There is sometimes a line out the door. We did make it through fairly quickly and service was very good and prompt. Not expensive and the food looked and tasted good. This is an easy stop if you're near, but will be crowded during the week lunch rush. read more

My parents and I went to Thai Cuisine because of its location, convenience, and the large amount of praise through its reviews. What started out to be a pleasant and exciting lunch went downhill, FAST. Part 1: My parents and I were seated and we went to the appetizer line to get salad and spring rolls. It was lunch, everyone around us was helping themselves, so we assumed it was okay. As my mom and I get our salad we were interrupted by a rude server, "Excuse me are you going to order food?" Uh... NO, of course not. Why would we come here to order lunch?! We only came to indulge in salad and egg rolls.... I tell her, "Yes, we were just getting appetizers first." And she continuously repeated how we need to order food. I told her, "Ok my apologies do you want me to put our appetizers back???" Before she finally backed off. Part 2: My dad was not hungry so refrained from the appetizer line, and my mom and I sat down and ate our salad. The same server comes up and asks for our order. I asked, "What are some flavorful dishes with vegetables and tofu?" And she couldn't attest to much. My mom orders the Vegetable Delight with tofu and I order the Red Curry with tofu. My dad who wasn't too hungry didn't order a dish, and the server asked, "You're not ordering?" And he said "No, I'll just have some of their main dishes when they come out." Server said that my DAD HAD TO ORDER FOOD OR HE COULD NOT EVEN TAKE A BITE OF DISHES ORDERED. Part 3: Our food comes out and the Vegetable Delight has NO TOFU and the red curry has NOTHING BUT tofu. I am disappointed in the rudeness of the server and messed up food order, so I kindly request a manager. I told the manager about the situation where my dad wasn't hungry enough for a full meal but just wanted to share some of our food. She said "Oh okay well he can't help himself to the appetizer line." I said "OK AND HE HASN'T AND WON'T. But can he have some of my red curry or is that not ok?" She said everyone at the table must order food. UHHHH... At this point, I was so disappointed in the staff, the food, the establishment, that I let them correct my order and we left. Meanwhile the entire staff is in the corner watching my parents I, as if we came there to eat all of their salad and egg rolls off the appetizer line. This was one of the worst and most UNCOMFORTABLE experiences I've ever had. Also, the food is some of the most mediocre Thai food I've ever had. The tofu was old and sour. For the sake of your wallet and tastebuds, go to SAPs or Titayas. read more
What a lovely place with great service and yummy food! I actually just eat soup and salad buffet and am very pleased each time. I lo e tofu vegetable soup, always tender in flavors and full of vegetables. Salad bar usually has rab Rangoon and they are always perfect flavors and looks. Salad always fresh and peanut butter sauce is the best! I used to take Pad Thai, which was very tasty, but each time I felt it was too much food for me, so now I am staying with soup and salad. Oh, and DESSERT! I can't remember what it's called, it's a kind of tapioca, but not too sweet. Service is always great. read more
