A good family run, friendly restaurant. I go here a couple of times a month, I have only ever had 1 meal I did not like, beef was tough as old boots. But in general, food is good, service is exemplary and always with a smile, a thai tradition. This is a great place to go in Truckee/ Tahoe. Fresh ingredients and food is plentiful. If your looking for authentic Thai better try the other one by Donner Pass rd. This thai by brockway place serve's commercialize style of cooking. Putting alot of water to make servings more or less expensive ingredients to suffice the menu. Some people are not familiar with how's the real taste of Thai food. Monday evening and a nice crowd in there. Took a minute to be seated, then we were able to order all vegan food! Their menu is setup to show which dishes you can order with tofu and avoid the meats and oyster sauce. We ordered both types of rolls, a stir fried tofu vegetable mix (#59) a stir fried tofu with carrots and broccoli in a brown sauce (#62) and brown rice. The portions were just right for us, though it looks like we ordered a lot of food. Both sets of rolls (spring and golden) were very good so we knew the main dishes were going to be fantastic! The food is great, the prices were very good and if we lived here we would be coming back. Especially good if you happen to be vegan. Showed up to a overly stuffed restaurant with people waiting outside at 6:15, and surprise the food was not done. Finally got my order at 7. And to add to this horrible service they forgot a dish out of the order. When I noticed I called and they didn't answer the phone. This was a terrible experience and I'm very bothered. Walked in to get some food and i saw two employees begging the owner to pay them for there two weeks of working and the owner refused to pay them because she was not satisfied with their work. Thai Delicacy is tucked away into a cute center.. family owned and very friendly, clean and nice ambiance. Their food was delicious.. we ordered light, just Chicken Satay, Shrimp Tempura which was so fresh, light and perfectly prepared, and Cashew chicken which was stuffed with chicken! Had both brown rice and white rice, again nice and light, hot and fresh. My favorite place in area for Thai.. we come here every time we are in the area. read more

Ok people, did you not notice that you're in Truckee? Complaining about price and dinging a really tasty spot for being expensive is just stupid. If you can't spend more than five bucks without whining go to Subway. This place is super tiny, but it's still family friendly. We parked our stroller out side and managed to sit very comfortably at a table with our family of four wiggly little boys and two tall adults. The tempura app was a bargain, and fried just right, crispy and not greasy. The dishes were really yummy and considering how rich they were the portion was just right. I've worked in restaurant supply and i know how bad these folks are being gouged for their ingredients, especially the veggies and i think they did a really good job with what they could get. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town! read more

First of all the space is nice and inviting. The waitstaff was kind, gentle and warm. We were actually surprised by how good the food tasted. Admittedly, we are a bit snobbish about Thai food. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, and they were really tasty. We also had a red curry that was nice. I wouldn't give it 100%, but it's 85% there. We used to love this place. Service was fine, food was great. Eventually, their service started getting really bad. They are always under staffed. Now, the food is going down hill. Got the same curry dish I've had many times; it was like yellow water with vegetables in it. The potatoes even tasted weird. We ate at Thai Delicacy during lunch on a Monday. It was nice to see how clean it was (I have an 8 month old who wants to put everything in his mouth) but that was where my satisfaction stopped. The yellow curry tasted a little heavy on the fish sauce (too salty) and light on the curry. Great restaurant! I would've never known authentic Thai food existed in Truckee, but my parents love this place and took my husband and I. The lunch specials are extremely reasonable and very delicious. With each special you get a salad, curry puff, your choice of rice or pad Thai, and an entree. As a group we ordered the Thai Basil, Pumpkin Curry, Cashew Nut Chicken, fresh spring rolls, and sticky rice with mango for dessert-- all delicious and impressive!
