After placing my order, I got a call from the restaurant informing me they were out of the boba flavor that I ordered. The person who called me was so nice, patient, and professional. I asked him several times to repeat the available flavors and he kindly repeated them every time. The food arrived, nicely packaged, and still warm. I ordered fried calamari, noodles, fried rice, and 2 house special dinners. Everything tasted great and the food was not very greasy. The portions were just right and the prices were not as expensive as the other Thai restaurants around the area. I think I found my favorite Thai restaurant in this part of town. Of the few thai places I've been to in Glendora, this is the best one. Dishes I've enjoyed here: 1. Chicken Pad Thai lunch special 2. Beef Panang lunch special 3. Spicy Rard Nar 4. Boba thai tea (one of the best I've had) 5. Chicken noodle lunch special (thick rice noodles with a garlic flavor) Wasn't a fan: 1. Pad See Ew-it was lacking in flavor. I think it would be really good if they just got the saltiness down. I had to add soy sauce to mine to get it to have some flavor. 2. Boat Noodle-it was good but I didn't enjoy the liver taste even though I didn't eat any of the liver pieces. Maybe I will try it again next time and ask them to hold back on the liver. I haven't tried other items on the menu since I keep coming back for my faves listed above. Maybe next time I will give another dish a try. read more

I would give this place 3 and 1/2 stars. We ordered Fried Calamari, Pad Thai with chicken, and Beef Noodle. Also Thai Ice Tea. The waiter was nice but a bit slow in service. I ordered Thai Ice Tea with Boba but it came without Boba. Oh well... Fried Calamari was great, very soft and tasty. Pad Thai was good, but it was more sour-side. I had the best Pad Thai before, so this one was ok. Beef Noodle was good but a little beef in it, so it wasn't really worth of the price. Maybe it will be better to come for Lunch time. Seems like the quality has been going downhill recently. The order of fried rice had maybe 1 egg in the entire thing and 4 small pieces of chicken, the pad thai had only 4-5 pieces of beef, and my beef broccoli's sauce was runny like water and almost as bland. When one order is off, that's forgivable. But when all three of our orders were substandard, that's when I feel the need to bring it up. read more

This was my first time trying this restaurant and I am glad we stopped here for dinner. The shrimp Pad Thai was my favorite. The noodles had the right texture and was very flavorful. No mushy bland noodles here. The bbq chicken was also very flavorful. Has a bbq sauce that I really enjoyed along with the sweet dip. The onions in the yellow curry had some firmness in it that gave it a nice balance. The service was excellent. The gentlemen who served us was very nice. Pad see ew was super bland and mushy. I've never had my noodles be mushy?? The fried tofu was ok because the sauce was good but the Tom Kha Gai which was just listed as coconut chicken soup was like eating glue!!! It was thick and grainy!! And bland. This place is AMAZING. 5/5 all the way! we had papaya salad, med spicy. It was so delicious the Papaya was seasoned so good. We don't know what she puts in it but I'm hooked. And we have shrimp fried rice. There is actually egg in there. Not like in most placed where it's steam rice . And I had the BBQ ribs, by far MY FAVORITE. So juicy, the meat falls right of the bone. Whenever I go there ill either get ribs, chicken or sa-te. Lastly we got Mango and sticky rice for my dessert . We get it every time, it's a Thai delicacy sooooo good. This is my alternative to the original Thai BBQ but the fact that it's close to my house I might consider adopting Thai Diamond BBQ as my own. The lunch special is cheap and it's from 11am-3pm M-F. Heads up--new owners bought this place about 2 months ago. Apparently the previous owners also had a place in Rancho Cucamonga and couldn't keep up with both, so they sold it to one of the previous waitresses. I only went once before so I can't really compare it, but so far, it's just OK. The new owners are really nice, but I felt like they're trying to cut too many corners. The shrimp fried rice served as a side with the dinner had TWO shrimp. Granted, they were a decent size (maybe 25-30 count?) but I'd rather have lots of chopped shrimp so I get some in every bite. Also, the fried rice was pretty plain--besides rice and some egg and the TWO shrimp, i think I found a slice or two of scallion. It needs to be dressed up a bit. Same thing with the shrimp pad see ew. VERY tasty and savory, but there was only FOUR shrimp. Come on, people! In that sense, I felt totally gypped. I notice a previous poster said the same thing about the beef in the beef noodle. The pineapple chicken curry was good, had plenty of chicken, but I must warn you, is pretty spicy, even though I ordered it mild. I know, I'm a wimp, but I admit it. Yes, I realize Thai folks rate heat by a different standard--so I'm just letting you know. The BBQ chicken had a good sauce, but was dry. That said, the mango with sticky rice dessert was sooooo good. They could work on their presentation on that one, but I didn't care once it was in my belly. A small eatery with the best Thai food in the San Dimas -La Verne - Glendora area (in my opinion). I tried many, many Thai restaurants when I moved to the area 5 years ago. After I found Thai Diamond BBQ, I have never gone anywhere else for Thai food. We eat there at least a couple of times a month. Today I had it delivered by using Grubhub for only a $3 delivery fee. Their Wings of Angel are awesome, huge and the best I've ever had. The Pad Thai if flavorful with just the right touch of sweetness. Their Sa-Te is savory and meat (we get the chicken and beef combo) is tender. The curries are very good (I always request more vegetables in the yellow curry). I love their pineapple fried rice, it has a wonderful bend of spices,fruit, nuts and proteins. They have other great dishes, but above are our favorites. This was such an excellent choice for Thai food. My husband and I got fried rice, orange chicken, broccoli beef noodles and spring/pork eggrolls. Literally EVERYTHING we ate was good. This place is definitely about quality. The orange chicken was my personal favorite. The batter is so tasty and the sauce is light and fresh but flavorful. Customer service was also A+. They have ample seating and a good atmosphere. We also got thai iced tea with Boba which was soooo tasty as well as a macaron and green tea cheesecake! Nothing in our area ever tastes amazing and authentic (even with the raving reviews) until I tried Thai diamond bbq! I had a late night Thai craving and called in for pick up, the husband and I were both feeling so satisfied and happy we chose them! Service was great and the food was delicious. Highly recommend if you're in the area. There were many regulars here, and seeing the owner interact with all of his customers is something you don't see very often. I thought it was awesome that he knew his regulars by name too. But this was certainly a very poor dining experience. 1- service - poor... 2- food - poor... Nice people, but not quite there yet as far as running a solid operation. The do have potential if they turn things around by putting the customer first, along with the quality and freshness their food, and improving lighting and decoration at their store. Came here for lunch the other day, ordered a fried shrimp, and a Pad Thai. First of all, the place was had heavy currants on the windows, little too dark for an resturant, and the people that work there seems to be inattentive, so made us doubt about coming in. The Pad Thai was not impressive, nothing special, had way better, then again this is Glendora. Lol The Fried Shrimp, oh man, this is straight from the freezer bag you get at the super market, all they did was to fry it, and they dare serve this as their own? Looking at the rest of their appetizer menu, most of it are Fried items, calamari, egg rolls...all could be bought from the freezer section. I am very skeptical with Yelp reviews some are supper misleading , some people don't have taste buds in this city (no offense ). We are very very picky with our food we are all about authenticity.
