Thai Fix. I'm just going to sum it up with delicious. The presentation of the food when it's brought out is just amazing, the rice is brought out in the shape of a heart. If your lucky sometimes they serve a frozen tomato in the shape of a flower. Who does that, that just really caught my eye in amazement. I think I ordered the pad Thai chicken with basil and you can definitely taste the basil in every bite and that's when you know it is prepared correctly. This place has very delicious Thai food and the staff is super friendly. It is under new management as well since the previous owner Mike retired but the restaurant is still under his family care wich you don't see that anymore these days. The food is super delicious as its always has been and I recommend you try the Pad Thai it's super delicious plus the serving size is good enough to fill you up!!! Also the chefs do make it extra special by making crafts of fruit and vegetables when you order to dine in but you'll have to see for yourself to experience it. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I used to come in here with my family pretty much once every week. (Now I have a job and can't join when they go). I know Mike the owner and his wife who are both extremely nice! Mike and I would always talk about my school and he was always very sweet. I know that the ownership has changed, but its still owned by one of Mike's relatives. The food is still great, if not better. The service has always been good, but now there is this extremely kind lady that works there who is THE NICEST WOMAN EVER. I've had almost every dish and each one is unique with its spices and textures. I have many different favorite dishes: eggplant chicken, cashew nut chicken, yellow curry, sunny pork (TAKE THE RISK, ITS INCREDIBLE), and the pineapple rice. This is my favorite restaurant for lunch during the week and meal on weekends. I am especially fond of their curries, which they spice to one's preference. The owners are almost always on site, making sure that the service and the food preparation are perfect. The husband-and-wife team are most friendly and always helpful. I really wanted to say something witty like I got my fix at Thai Fix or something like that. Unfortunately I didn't get my fix here. Although the lunch special prices are reasonable, the Pad Thai was a bit bland. The tanginess that is characteristic of Pad Thai was totally absent. I also tried the spicy eggplant and it seemed a bit bland too. Maybe the chef's tastebuds were on break. I love Thai Fix! I have yet to eat in the restaurant, however I have ordered takeout at least 20 times from here and they never disappoint! I always order the Tom Kha with shrimp and get it spicy, They make it perfect every time! The garlic shrimp is delicious and you can also get it as spicy as you can handle.. Gotta try the Pad Thai.. The service is always great and they are very nice and welcoming whenever I go to pick up my orders. This place has AMAZING food. The chicken gyoza had a crispy fried wrapper with good chicken. Their spring rolls are pretty delicious also and had nice flavor. We also got their spicy tofu fried rice, and the tofu was cooked perfectly! It was crispy on the outside, tender and chewy on the inside. The rice it's self was pretty great too because it wasn't too over fried and not too mushy, just right. Their chili sauce/paste is pretty decent too and goes well with everything. This place is close by, so I've ordered take-out twice. The first time, I got chicken pad thai. You can specify how spicy you would like it. I am someone who loves a good challenge from spice, but even the medium was very spicy. Next time, I'll opt closer towards the mild side for spice. The portions are great and I got two meals out of it. The second time, I ordered chicken red curry. They charge #1 extra for brown rice, which is kind of annoying. Ordered pick up for dinner from here. Lady on the phone was friendly and gave us a 15 min pick up time which was right on & our food was ready and hot when we picked it up. Had the pad Thai chicken which was good and was plenty for dinner and leftovers. My wife had the spicy basil chicken without the spice! She liked it as well. I have ordered several times without incident but I am extremely disappointed with my order this evening. I ordered my usual Hangover noodles and Pad See Ew for my wife. However, someone got really heavy-handed and drowned the Pad See Ew in the soy sauce (or whatever sauce it is). Bottom line is my wife could not eat it. To make matters worse, I called to let someone know and I was put on hold for ever it seemed. I hung up after being on hold for 10+ minutes. I am extremely disappointed as I have always liked the food and was always willing to look past the poor service. Now I am convinced that they don't really give a damn. So, Thai Fix has been a staple delivery food for my girlfriend and I for some time now. A couple months ago we ordered in to get our weekly fix. We ordered the California Curry, and an order of bong. (deep fried wonton wrap stuffed with shrimp and avocado) My girlfriend ended up having a bad reaction to something and we had reason to believe it was the shrimp as we had not ordered that item before and had never had a problem. The white rice that time was also noticeably old-ish as it had started to brown like it had been sitting in the rice cooker on warm since the night before, it tasted a little sour. So we were scarred for a little while but couldn't resist giving the Fix another chance as the Cali Curry is usually delicious. Tonight we ordered our curry and an order of Chicken Wonton Soup (NO SHRIMP) Because of what happened last time. Anyway, I am getting our soup into bowls and everything looks good until... 1 single large shrimp floating around in the soup. I was puzzled as to how it got in there. It couldn't have jumped in there for a spa day right?? That means that the soup is already pre made, not made to order and it is made with shrimp in it. The chicken in the wontons was drier than Spongbob in Sandy's tree-dome... The restaurant is clean and beautiful, the service is fantastic and the delivery is very speedy, but unfortunately the food is what is bringing this place down for me.
