Go here. Food was f***ing great. Pulled pork birria was one of the best birrias I've ever had. Service was quick. Guy in the truck was also very friendly.

I discovered this place last week and have since been 3 times. These are the best queso birria tacos I've found on island so far, and at a reasonable price. You can order them on a plate with salsa and consommé, or al a carte. The truck does move sometimes, and I have found that the hours are not always accurate online so that is my only complaint. There is an outside seating area when the truck is 'home' on Market Street in Wailuku with a few picnic tables in the shade.

What a gem! I live nearby and saw this new food truck. I told the owner I'm originally from Chicago, where we have a large Mexican American population and amazing Mexican food. Also, that I haven't found Mexican food here on the island that is as delicious as back in Chicago. Well, I finally found one! I had the birria and it's delicious and flavorful. Definitely, will return to try other food on the menu.

These guys make delicious, authentic and addictive tacos. We ordered the 3 taco plate. You receive 3 cheese and shredded pork crispy tacos with salsa, chilies and consume soup. Fantastic flavors and texture. Highly recommended.

Birria Taco but it didn't come with salsa or radish.

Food trailer is located in Wailuku on Market street (check social media for hours) with 2 other food trucks. Limited benches and under large trees. The food truck lot itself can be muddy if it rains/rained so just be careful. Service seemed nice and it was just one person working so we expected the wait to be long. Surprisingly we didn't have to wait as long, it took about 15 minutes for a Birria queso taco plate and a ribeye plate. Pricing came out to be around $43. Reasonably priced and the portions seemed good. We were excited to dig in, but we were not satisfied. The Birria tacos itself were bland and the meat did not look like it was cooked in a stew because it had no flavor and light in color compared to the meat found in my consume. To my knowledge the whole point of birria is to have that meat from the stew, all the delicious flavors and aromas. Most of the seasonings and spices were in the consume, but it was wayyyyyyyy to spicy for me and my spouse. Also noted chili/ peppers in the tacos itself. Seemed overly spicy to the point where your mouth is burning and you can't even enjoy your meal. This might be great for people who enjoy EXTREMELY spicy food because there was so many chili/ red pepper flakes in the consume and taco. Also menu on their instagram highlights say that my plate was supposed to come with radish and salsa which it did not (they gave a house sauce instead). The Ribeye was a good size. Sadly more rare/undercooked to our liking and the fats around the meat were not rendered enough so it was chewy. Please note that the house sauce comes with this plate too and is also spicy. I think the food trailer needs to work on putting notes to which items are spicy on their menu. This will help customers a lot especially if they are not spice heads. Also, cook the steak just a bit longer or ask people how they want their steak done. Another note to add would be for them to invest in a screen for their service window and doorway because bugs can get in to food and cooking area. The food trailer door was wide open, exposing cooking area to potential flies/bugs.

No worries; it's worth waiting for. She gave me a pager, and we watched the chickens while we waited for our 4 soft birria tacos. As always, it was worth the wait. The burria was plentiful, with cilantro and diced onion, on the tacos. The flavor was excellent, especially with their tomatillo salsa and a squeeze of fresh lime. Glad to see the sliced radish, the pickled jalapeño and (oh, man) the marinated carrot slices! As if that isn't good enough, we also got a burria burrito to go. Now, we have something to feast on tomorrow. Mucho Bueno!

Let's start by saying, they pulled into the pole position of my most delectable Mexican food bite and place in Hawaii (albeit only had on Oahu and Maii, lol). My order: Chorizo Burrito Bowl and maaayynnn Thai thing was loaded. Starts with a layer of rice, beans, chorizo, green and red cabbage, pico de gallo, avacado, topped with chipotle aioli. Then on the side is a lime, pickled carrots, jalapeño, radish, and I chose spicy salsa. The bowl is huge,, and i stuffed my face and finished every bite haha; it goes to say hot great it was. The rice and beans are a perfect layer of goodness, the crunch from the fresh veggies, that smoky and spicy (light) of the chorizo, richness of that avacado, and finished off with that nice creamy aioli. Then I hit it with the kick or the lime and extra spice of the salsa. I'm in heaven. Oh then add side tart, tangy, and crunchy bites of the pickled veg. Waaaaawhoooo was my tummy happy. I'd like to say, I want to come back and all their other options such as their soft and questo tacos or biria. However as I am not in Maui much, probably going back for my home run. Hopefully next time someone else is with me so I can try their choices haha. The staff were friendly and food came out in good time. They are located on the back side of the food truck area, so don't pass them by if you just jump into the main area. Definitely recommend them for all who havent.

Sergio's Tacos is a new food truck located at "Da Tambayan Corner" food truck lot in Kahului near…read morethe Kahului Library. Their big blue truck can't be missed as they are located right on the corner. They serve up a handful of Mexican favorites from tacos to burritos, quesadillas, menudo, and even a taco salad. What piqued my interest was one of their specialty items that was marked available on Saturdays and Sundays only -- their birria ramen. No one has this available on their menu regularly (that I know of) so if you've been wanting to try it... this is the spot. When I stopped by the food truck lot again for lunch, I was happy to see that it was actually one of their specials that was available so I didn't have to wait for the weekend. It didn't have a price on it on the specials board so I was a little shocked when my total came out to $19. (Their regular menu says $12, so not sure if it was served differently that day?). My order came out quickly and I was happy to see that it came with limes and 3 tortillas. It reminded me of how my birria taco order came when I was in LA. One bite and I must say it was pretty tasty. The broth had good flavor and the meat was very tender. Don't forget to squeeze in the limes for an extra hit of flavor; it makes all the difference! While it tasted good, I could have honestly done without the ramen. I would rather eat it all as just a soup, haha! Overall though, I enjoyed it and am glad I finally got to try it. The price was a little on the steep end, so it won't be something I have regularly. My coworkers who got their crispy tacos enjoyed their meal as well. The family that owns is truck is from Jalisco, Mexico so I definitely look forward to exploring the menu more and tasting some authentic Mexican flavors and food. Parking is available on the Kahului Library side and a really nice covered eating area with ample tables and seating is available. Some evenings they even do karaoke at the food truck lot.
