Since my long time go to, Lime Leaf in Weymouth, has gone downhill, I decided to give this place a try. Since it was my first time there, I kept it simple. A crispy pad Thai and a regular pad Thai. While it would be damn near impossible to match or surpass Lime Leaf's crispy pad Thai when they're on/were on their game, Noodle Bar comes thisclose and certainly surpasses all the other local Thai places right now. I've tried at least 10 other places in 3 different cities and this will be my new go to. Also really appreciated the Covid protocol. This place is one of the hidden gems of Quincy. I've been here many times and the service and food is always great. I normally get the curry which is rich in flavor and has a good kick, but this time I got the wonton noodle soup(which was delicious). The dishes are reasonably priced, especially for the wonton noodle soup as the portion was pretty big. The restaurant itself is small, but it's cozy and aesthetically pleasing. If you have a friend coming to visit, I'd recommend going here. read more

To be honest, vast majority of the Thai restaurants I have been to have very small variance in terms of quality, which is why I have never given a Thai restaurant 5 stars because very few actually blew me away. That's not to say that they aren't good, but most lacks something unique that sets it apart from being another generic thai restaurant. I'm glad to say I have finally found a place that impressed me enough to get 5 stars! The decor is small and cozy but cute, the service is quick and friendly, and the price is very affordable especially for lunch. I offered the Pad Pedersen Pla, which is spicy fish filet sautéed with vegetables, it was delicious and only $10 for lunch! Most fancier Thai places in Boston would charge $18-20 for something like this. The flavor was rich and tasty, though it's got a 3 pepper sign but not too spicy, guess I should ask for Thai spicy next time :). The rice came in a heart mould, which is really cute and definitely adds to the character of the place. My girlfriend got the Basil Fried Rice, which is also better than most we have had. We liked this place so much that we ended up getting a 3rd fish, tom yum noodle soup with duck. This dish is also fabulous and the soup and duck was so good! We Ubered all the way from Allston to eat here and it was so worth the trip, will definitely be back in the future :) read more

I've tried this place twice and have been disappointed each time. This time around I ordered spring rolls, veggie egg rolls, chicken wings, thai iced tea, and pad thai with beef. The spring rolls mostly consisted of lettuce. Shrimp was lacking in most of the bites I took. Next, the chicken wings were definitely good, but nothing to rave about. I only ordered the thai roll that consisted of just vegetables because I was really craving egg rolls. This was just as lackluster as the spring rolls. However, the thai iced tea was made perfectly and had the right balance of tea, milk, and sugar. The fact that it came in a mason jar made it even better. The pad thai was one of the worst pad thais I have ever had. It tasted like it had a ketchup or some type of tomato base on it. Truly great place. I've tried a lot of the menu and I've never had anything that I'd consider bad. My go-to's are anything with the creamy chili basil sauce, the fresh rolls, the BBQ meats, and all the different kinds of fried rice styles. The staff and cooks are excellent as well. read more

The food is great, the ordering website is awful. I've been a couple times in the past and have always been happy with the food. You can mix and match flavors and ingredients to get exactly what you want, and the food is quickly prepared to order. It's a bit salty, but I'm happy with it. So I convinced my co-workers to order lunch from them today. As it was my idea, I'm the one doing the ordering. I've got 11 items to order, and I found the online ChowNow.com ordering system aggravating. First, the order of the items on the menu is confusing. Stir fry noodles, for example, aren't in the noodles section -- so when my co-workers ask for pork crazy noodles I'm left trying to figure out why the noodle bar section doesn't list crazy noodles as an option. Second, and far more frustrating is that you must get your order in before the quarter hour is up or you are forced to start over. I started entering my order at 11:08. After finding most of the items, the website said "we need unnamed minutes to complete the order" and there was no way to change the requested delivery time or complete the order, so I had to start over. I did so, but a co-worker had a change, and I couldn't remember where all the items were hidden so when the clock rolled to exactly 11:30 I was forced to start over *again*. Realizing I was in a race against the clock, I entered as fast as I could the third time so that my order wouldn't be locked out yet again. Fingers crossed! read more

After eating it almost everyday for lunch during the month I spent in Thailand, I am a big fan of Tom Yam/Yum and decided to try it out when I saw that this was on the menu. I did take out since it was on my way leaving Weymouth headed back to Quincy. I liked the containers that they used, there is enough room in the noodle container that you are able to dump the broth container into it. The portion size is decent and I'm full off of the serving without needing an appetizer. I ordered mine with udon noodles which is not the traditional way where it is served with no noodles at all. It was decent, but didn't have a strong lemongrass flavor like it should have. read more

Went here for a quick brunch with my family and this place was small. I would say about 6-8 tables of 4 (people). The place is very clean and had plenty of parking available. We started off with fresh shrimp spring rolls and Thai fried chicken wings. Both came out on a paddle they've used which was pretty eye catching for a tiny restaurant like this; Presentation and everything was neat . They have a pretty big selection of foods on the menu- from making your own noodle bowl/ plate, appetizers, entrees, grilled seafood, etc. which surprised me as well. I've ordered a Pad Thai with crispy chicken (per Yelp reviews) and I find that the SAUCE they put in the pad Thai was too sweet and overpowering, it also tasted like it wasn't freshly made but rather from a jar but it drenched my noodles and made it look almost like a red-orange color that I've never seen before in Pad-Thais. It also came with a dipping sauce on the side - perhaps for the chicken(?) but I didn't felt the need to use it at all because of the noodles itself. That sauce is also used (on the side) for their fried chicken wings, spring rolls, etc. so it's pretty versatile. My husband also had the grilled pork on skewers which the waitress recommended as one of the popular ones. The very unassuming location put me off from trying the place. But once inside, i was amazed with the cleanliness. The service was great and the food was excellent. Little Duck used to be our favorite in Quincy, but now this place takes that spot. Really well run, really good food and they really put in the extra effort to make things nice. We've already returned twice in the same month! Love it. The one missing star is for location. They should buy a storefront in Quincy center and blow away some of the crappy stuff there today. read more

Thai noodle bar is in quincy and is close to the border of weymouth where dairy queen is. I was really enticed by the photos to try this place out, but the Portions are small. Flavor isnt on point, my food was kind of bland and I wasn't please. This is my second experience with them. I think they do a better job at delivery than actual restaurant service as the restaurant itself is also really small. There are buy just a few tables. I do like that there was a ton of noodle creations that you can make and they will make it with any sauce that you want. The iced milo was very good and got me to go home and buy a box to try to make at home. My friend got the pink milk and said it was delightful and refreshing. My husband and I went here for the second time tonight after we moved in nearby. The second experience was as good as the first and service was polite and quick. We both created our own noodle dishes, his with the chili basil sauce and mine with the satay sauce. They delicious and the portion was enough for two meals. We will definitely be back! read more

Nice clean small place that used to be a Chinese takeout converted nicely with beautiful touches but no bathroom. Food was average nothing to say wow about I ordered the beef and papaya salad while the gf ordered the pad thai with crispy chicken " beef over cooked became jerky and papaya salad was the star of the dish not bad. The crispy chicken pad thai no complaints chicken was crispy not dry but for being in Quincy and easy parking you can't go wrong. If you're looking for something away from Cambridge,Boston where you don't need to drive around for at least half an hr just looking for a parking spot then stop in and give it try. Service was good but a bit slow considering how small it is but staff was nice. If I'm in the mood and lazy to head out to Boston for Thai I would stop by again. read more

First time here with a party of 4 and was overall satisfied with the Thai Noodle Bar. The decor & details inside was very nice. We ordered a few apps: Curry Puff, Papaya salad, Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp... all of which were appetizing. The presentation was spot on. The papaya salad was not that spicy and a bit too sweet. We ended up ordering a second plate of this but asked for them to kick it up a notch with more spice and less sugar & it came out way better than the first. It could still use a little tweaking...let's hope thirds a charm on the next visit. Thai Iced Coffee was really sweet...a little too sweet for my taste. Now to the entrees...the party ordered Chiang Mai Noodles & 2 Special Boxes which came with an order of soup (that no one could finish because it was too sweet), salad, app of choice (thai roll, crab rangoon), choice of curry and rice. I ordered the Duck Choo Chee which was presented beautifully and done perfect. Overall, I think we were satisfied and would come back. Thankfully it's down the street from my house so I hope they survive as many of the restaurants in this mini plaza has changed several times over the course of the years. read more
