Disclaimer that I've been coming here since I was in elementary school, and despite management having changed many times since then, I could love this place purely for the atmosphere and service. On my most recent visit, staff was super friendly and prompt, portion sizes were extremely generous (this was the lunch portions), and despite filling our bellies, we had plenty of food to take home. Food quality is great, the pad see ew with chicken is a personal favorite of mine and I will always be comparing other pad see ew's in American Thai restaurants with this one. I didn't expect the restaurant to be that large inside, judging from the outside. There are plenty of tables and booth seating. The Fresh Spring Roll appetizer was okay and as I expected. It came with 2 different sauces. I preferred the peanut sauce rather than the honey plum sauce. I liked the Pad Thai I ordered. I didn't get that greasy feeling afterward that some pad thai gives me, which is a plus. It was a decent amount of food, but I wish there were more tofu pieces in it, so I didn't feel like it quite matched the price. Thai Paradise seems to charge a bit more compared to other Thai restaurants. Maybe going for lunch would be better. read more

I apparently have been trying a lot of new places as of late, so I am happy for the experience. We were in Folsom, and my wife wanted Thai (and she had previously been here), so of course, why not? The staff were very nice. Waters were always refilled, and they just seemed to be genuinely in a good mood. Very welcoming feel, and the my wife enjoyed the art work and the feel (she is Southeast Asian, and she was really vibing). I agree, in that, save for the tv showing the NBA playoffs, seemed like an authentic "aura" about iself. Now then....the food. We ordered the spring rolls, beef laab, boat noodle soup, and red curry with chicken. She also ordered the Thai Tea, and said there's was a good take on the classic drink. I thought the spring rolls were somewhat lacking......the interior ingredients were like that as an airy salad....not really any "girth" to it, but the peanut sauce was good with a little kick. The Boat Noodle broth was AMAZING. I have to be careful of onion consumption due to a sensitivity, but I kept slurping it up in between my wife's bites. She enjoyed her beef laab salad, and while it was quite spicy, the few bites I had were of very good quality (and flavorful) beef. My curry wasn't too unique.....but it was a good rendition of a typical Thai restaurant curry. We had the Wings, the fresh spring rolls Tom Yum Kai with chicken and extra vegetables , Pad Se-Lew with Prok, and crab fried rice delivered. Everything was absolutely spot on and just delicious. Starting with the delivery, the food showed up piping hot and to our surprise each of the entrees and appetizers were more than we could eat in one sitting. The spices and spiciness of all of the dishes were exactly what we had asked for and were fantastic. The sauces that were provided for the spring rolls and the chicken wings were plentiful and delicious especially the spicy hot wing sauce. It's something nice to have for those who are starving until the order comes out. Here's what we had: THAI ICED TEA - $3.75 Can never go wrong with this! Refreshing and sweet! Oh and I believe it's free refill. ANGEL WINGS - $14.95 De-boned chicken wings stuffed with ground chicken, silver noodles, deep-fried and served with a special honey plum sauce. Oh yes, breaded and crispy on the outside, and wonderful textures on the inside. I don't care for the sauce and there's enough flavor that I don't think it was needed. It comes with 5-6 pieces so this hefty filling appetizer is great to share. You won't see it on the lunch menu though but ask for it! SA-TAY - $14.95 Grilled marinated chicken breast on skewers, served with peanut sauce and cucumber salad. This appetizer comes with 4 fairy large skewered. I appreciate the generous amount of peanut sauce and the cucumber salad was the best! I could eat this as a dish really. Another great one to share. RED CURRY - $12.95 Red curry paste with green beans, eggplant, bamboo shoots, red bell peppers, basil and coconut milk. This was good though I wish there was more eggplant (there was one). Lots of bamboo shoots. TOM KHA - $15.95 It was $2 more for scallops. White mushrooms, tomato and Thai herbs in coconut milk. This was quite a presentation when it came out. It was served in a Thai Heated hot pot soup bowl, to keep soups like tom kha warm. Loved it! Although at first I was seeing tofu and not scallop so they fixed the mistake and brought us a replacement with scallops. The scallops was okay--a bit chewy so I think we should have stuck with he tofu (there was so much of that!). All in all this soup was wonderful. THAI FRIED RICE - $12.95 Wok fried rice with egg, onions and carrots. You get a choice of meat or veggies, which we chose chicken. Lots of cilantro and green onions on top, I thought this dish was decent. FRIED BANANA ICE-CREAM - $7.95 We got 2: one with Mango ice cream and the other with vanilla ice cream. It wasn't that good. We were hoping they would have Mango sticky rice but they didn't. I don't really recommend this. I can see why this a popular spot. This place is huge with plenty of seating (2 sections and outdoor) and the prices are quite reasonable! Also, everyone gets a small salad! A casual place with authentic Thai chef. The restaurant ac was working almost too well. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is lightly decorated in Thai style and they serve Singha beer if you are in the mood. I had the Pad kra Pao with pinched pork and it was very tasty with authentic flavors. The portion was too large for me but that seems to be common in the US. I recommend the place for authentic Thai tastes in a casual atmosphere. Worth the trip!! read more

This is a cute Thai restaurant in Folsom, CA. It's located in a big retail plaza with plenty of parking. However, when it's busy here, you may have to park a bit further, but otherwise, there are plenty of free parking. The staff was very pleasant upon entrance and greeted us and seated us right away. I love the nice big fountain outside and I also love the smaller semi-private room in the back. As far as ambience, it was nice, however, I felt that all of the dark aesthetics and the lack of natural lighting and indoor lighting made it seem too dark. I ordered the Panang curry with chicken, which was really good. I chose that over the red curry (which is my go-to for curry) because it has a more mild flavor profile. I love cooking curry at home and am able to control the spice level, but here, I wasn't able to, so I selected the less spicy option. I also replaced the green beans for bamboo. I'm so glad they were able to accommodate my request. I love green beans, but felt like having bamboo because it tastes better with the curry. They also serve a small salad, which is nice. Good thai food, great service, I love the music and the art on the walls. Definitely get the thai tea, remember, you get free refills, this is the only place I've been to where they give free refills on thai tea. We had the Drunken Noodles, Mango Curry with Salmon, egg rolls, and spring rolls. Everything was great. My only complaint is the bathroom - one for men, one for women. We got here on our way from Tahoe. It came actually pretty highly reviewed. The ambiance was calm and very well decorated, the bathrooms were very clean. The service was quick and mostly the waitstaff was very helpful. We ordered a Tom Kha soup which was fantastic. Flavorful and rich, it was perfect for the hot weather. We got a pad ki mao and I got the cashew curry and the rest of the group got a shrimp curry, fried rice and chowmein noodles. The quantities were all pretty good. Other than the chow mein (which was for the kids) we ordered everything at default spice. We weren't asked and we didn't mention. The cashew curry was very most flavorful and was the only thing which wasn't spicy. The pad ki mao, fried rice and curries were all extremely spicy to the point that the rest of the group was suffering. They got us some peanut sauce to offset the spice however it was still fairly spicy in spite of that. read more

Delicious Thai offerings! We ordered the pineapple fried rice which comes with chicken and shrimp and the chicken pad Thai. Both were very flavorful, decent portions enough for sharing and served fresh. The service was really good as well with multiple attendants to help serve, take our order and provide beverages. Always fresh and delicious! Highly recommend Thai Paradise. Order online right before they closed for the 3pm hour between lunch and dinner service. They were very kind to not be peeved - and actually let a couple in after 3pm to order to go once I arrived to pick up my order. Everything was piping hot and well-packaged for travel. Options this visit were fresh spring rolls, chicken satay, tom kha soup and Thai Basil lunch with white rice. So good and generous enough portions to make two meals for my hubby and me. Food has a lot of flavor and a large variety to choose from. We went here for a birthday and everyone lived the food. We order from them through Doordash all the time and the food is always fresh and warm. The staff is friendly and the location is able to hold larger parties of around 20. We love ordering food to go from Thai paradise because it's so delicious, but we came to dine in at 7:00pm on a Tuesday night and we waited half an hour while we watched our male server with glasses take the order of every other table before us. He even sat an 8 top and a 2 top after seating us and took both of their orders before coming to our table. We waived and made eye contact and he still ignored us. Last time I came to Thai Paradise was in 2019 before I moved away. While visiting the area, we had some craving for Thai food so we choose to come here. We were not disappointed! The food was as delicious as I remember. The eggplant stir fry has a smokey taste to it which adds a whole nother dimension to the dish. The Tom kha soup is perfect. On top of all the delicious food, the service was even better! The food came out relatively quick after the order was placed, thank goodness for that since we were starving! We went here for dinner, around 7pm. The restaurant is very big. It has lots of indoor seatings and some outdoor seatings. We were seated right away and saw lots of tables were occupied. The eggplant pieces were soft enough but not soggy. The other vegetables were cooked perfectly (still has some crisp). Overall, the food & the portion were good. Immediately I saw Eggplant Delight, and I new that I needed to order this. I chose chicken for the protein. When I received my dish, I was surprised on how healthy this dish tasted. 9/6/2021 Hubs was craving some spicy Thai/Lao food so we were on the hunt for some good eats! We noticed this location had 4 solid stars and 899 reviews so I'll be their 900th review. This establishment appears to also have another location in EDH with less reviews. This location is conveniently located in a shopping plaza with Bel Air and has ample parking. The restaurant have specials listed right inside to the left of the entrance, from reading past reviews, the specials have not changed and appears to be available year round. We ordered the Large portion of Tom Kha Kai (Chicken, white mushrooms, tomato and Thai herbs in coconut milk) - chicken was tender and flavor was as expected Thai Basil (Pad Ka Prao) - Spicy Sautéed with onion, jalapeño, red bell pepper, green beans, basil and garlic chili sauce. - with chicken - dish had good flavor, the sauce was more watery than expected and was described as spicy but outside of the jalapeño, there wasn't any spice. Believe the seeds were removed to tame the spice levels. Pad Se-Iew Pan-fried flat rice noodles with garlic, carrots, broccoli, egg and brown sauce. - with chicken - my sons love this dish. It has a sweet after taste from seasoning and eggs. Green Curry - Spicy Green curry paste with green beans, eggplant, bamboo, red bell pepper, basil and coconut milk with chicken This was a hard pass for us. Described again as spicy but dish has no spice. This curry was lacking flavor overall. Chef's special Bangkok Chicken (crispy chicken topped with chefs sweet sauce - Bangkok style) - we got sauce on the side My oldest son ordered this and requested for sauce on the side. The sauce was a thick honey soy sauce that we didn't want. The chicken was thin slices of chicken with skin deep fried (lots of skin) - very crunchy but missing seasoning. The broccoli on the plate was also served cold as a garnish. If you like crispy chicken skin, you'll like this dish. We got 2 sticky rice portions and a steam rice portion. My thai ice coffee was sweet but good. A good palate cleanser. Overall Service was good, food was ok. Our dinner was $115 after tip for 2 adults and 2 kids. read more

Thai Paradise has been my favorite Thai spot in the Folsom area for years. My number one favorite dish here is the pineapple curry lunch special. I order mine medium hot, and with chicken. Other favorite dishes include the spicy curry noodle soup, chicken satay, fried sweet potatoes, and all of the curry lunch specials. The Thai iced tea is delicious, and comes with a cute folded paper flower on the straw (or at least, it used to, pre-pandemic). All of the desserts that I've tried have been amazing, including the fried banana with ice cream, and the sticky rice with mango. This place is amazing. I've been to every single Thai restaurant that's been open in Folsom in the past ten years, and Thai Paradise is consistently my favorite. Highly recommended. read more

Whenever we are in the area and craving Thai, this is our go to. We order three dishes every time just to try something new on their menu. Drunken noodles and pineapple curry have been our staples so far. The helpings are generous. The service has been good. The place is always busy.
