I hadn't been here since they had closed permanently during the COVID era. But after seeing their comeback under new management, I can confidently say that this is going to be my new Thai spot. Service was impeccable. Very family friendly staff that made me feel welcome right out the gate. Food comes with free choice of tea. I'm normally wary of this tactic. I've seen other Thai restaurants offer this to justify the mark up prices on food while skimming the quantity or quality of the food itself. But that's not the case here. The pad see ew chicken was fantastic! Very mild but sweet. And great portions which really made me feel that I hadn't been cheated out of my money. Friend recommend this place and so far everything is amazing! Servers were very dope and friendly. If I had to blink once for 1 baked mussel, I would blink a million times. Panang and tum yum soup was good, just wished the tom yum had a spicier option that would burn my mouth! Cleaned the lemon pepper salmon dish up. Food had great flavor. I was a little skeptical because they did not ask for the spice level but the taste was delicious and they gave us this dry chili spice that made it spicier. As an Asian person, I would take my white friend here. All the employees were very kind. I heard the server say, I hope the to-go curry isn't too hot for your hands. What an angel. One of the nicest servers I've encountered and I eat out a lot. The food did take 30 minutes to come out but I think it was worth it. Anne was just so amazing, attentive and kind. Made our dining experience exceptional. I used to frequent this restaurant before it closed. Glad to see it open again so stopped by to see if it was still good. They mentioned the previous owners wife passing away and being closed for awhile. One week ago today my wife and myself arrived at the Thai Princess at 3:50PM. It was closed. Online said it was open at 1:00pm. I called and was told that they would open in a few minutes. I was really looking forward to eating here. I use to come here with my friends most Saturdays before COVID changed thing. The food was very good. I asked if next Saturday (today) they would be open at 1:00PM. They said yes. I told all my friends about the new opening and all of them wanted to get back to the way things were before COVID. I called 3 days ago and was assured by Anna they would be open at 1:00PM. They were not. With all of us standing in the hot sun I called and was told they would open at 1:30PM. I told them we were leaving and they tried to bribe us with free Mango sticky rice if we waited until 1:30PM. We left and went next door to the Vietnamese place. We were very happy there. We may continue with the Vietnamese place in the future. So, the food at Thai Princess is good so long if you don't mind waiting for them to open at odd times. read more

If you want amazing Thai food, you must come here! I usually don't write reviews but I really wanted to give this place a shoutout. The food was amazing! My friends and I came in for dinner around New Year's Eve and we did not expect the portions of each dish to be so big! We got the fried rice, Panang curry, and green string beans. The best curry I've had in a while. On top of that, they were so sweet to give us free drinks, appetizers, and dessert. We were too full from dinner so we had to decline the extra appetizers and dessert. The interior design might be deceiving but the food doesn't lie. Amazing mom & pop- vibe owned restaurant, we came in for a To-Go order and the sweet girl who helped us at the front was very nice! Hidden gem of Thai food in Santa Ana/Garden Grove. Doesn't look like much but the food here was really tasty and reasonably seasoned with a nice spicy kick. As soon as we entered into the restaurant we were greeted by a lovely young woman. I am not sure of her name but she had long beautiful hair. She was so kind and made us feel very welcomed. We ordered the pad see ew, pad Thai, chicken satay as well as Thai teas. Everything that was had was incredible. My favorite item was the chicken satay because they topped it with a coconut cream sauce, which was a wonderful. I had never had chicken satay served this way before and never want to have it served any other way. We will definitely be coming back. My little sister took me to, in her words, "the best Thai restaurant in the world", and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by Julie, our server, as soon as we stepped inside, and she even remember my sister's name from the last time she was there! We ordered their mussels as an appetizer along with their pad see ew & beef salad, and they were soooooo good. The portion sizes were just right, and my sister and I ended up taking some home for togo because we couldn't finish. Julie and the owner were sosososooo lovely. Literally the sweetest people ever! the best food, service, and quality you will find. i went here twice already within the same week, and it has been 100/10 both times. our server, julie, is SUCH a sweetheart and really does want us to just have a great time every single time! her and the rest of the staff are lovely and always made sure we were well taken care of. i cannot thank them enough. the food. oh my gosh, the food is amazing. there's not a single thing i do not recommend. everything is made fresh for you with fresh ingredients. they were telling me how the ingredients they used to marinate was fresh from the garden which they grind themselves for various dishes they have. and the thai tea and hibiscus tea. oh my gosh. made fresh with no artificial ANYTHING. this is the most fresh you can get. you can taste the quality and the amount of love and passion they put into each dish. it sounds corny, but it really does taste like homemade cooking made especially for you. i have heard that they also have karaoke too at night so i might try that next time. overall, i love this place. i have never been a regular to a place before but i will definitely be one here. i cannot stop talking about this place to family and friends and genuinely hope this restaurant is shared to the world. truly amazing people and food here. thank you for taking care of me!! read more

I came back to visit family and decided on some Thai, with so many different places in the area. Service: I didn't get her name but she had glasses and was super nice! She checked on us a bunch and was super friendly. I think the owner of the chef came out at the end and was super friendly as well. We had kids with us and our server was super friendly and kind. I would comeback just for the service. Food: The portion size was pretty good. We had leftovers, which normally doesn't happen. Taste wise it's on par with the others. The menu is pretty limited to the basic popular Thai dishes. Ambiance: From what our server told us, she recently opened a few months ago. Everything was still new looking. read more

i saw this place had great reviews so decided to try it, and WOW, this restaurant is outstanding. pad thai with chicken (9/10): amazing flavor, not too sweet. i asked for spicy and they added chopped red thai chilies, which were so floral and spicy. topped with lime, (pickled? idk but super good) sweet purple cabbage, and roasted peanuts. crab fried rice (12/10): best best best my bf and i have ever had. it's so fragrant with that rich umami flavor and topped very generously with sweet, peeled crab. if you HAD to get one thing, get this! red curry with tofu (8.5/10): usually don't get tofu but their soft tofu was so good, i was actually confused. the curry is very creamy and rich, loaded with veggies. FREE DRINKS with your entrees, with refills too! i only went for takeout but they gave me and my gma drinks and refilled it before we left. the family were all so generous and kind, they clearly take great pride in their food and service. happy to have found my new favorite thai place :D read more

Today, me and my family came to this amazing restaurant! We were looking for a Thai restaurant in our area that was still opened as it was around 9-10pm. Luckily, we stumbled across Thai Princess. To start off, our server Anna, welcomed us into the place and she was super sweet and her service was amazing. She gave us recommendations, constantly checked up on us, and overall helped make our experience at the restaurant spectacular! My family and I ordered the crispy salmon, mussel, crab fried rice, chicken wings, and the Panang curry. First few bites of the food were so delicious! The food tasted so comforting and felt as if it was a home cooked meal. Whole family shared the same satisfaction. As for the drinks, we got Thai tea and sweet jasmine tea. Both were also pretty good and had the right amount of sweetness. The place itself has good seating, which is good for families or big parties. Me and my family enjoyed this restaurant so much and our (first) experience here went past our expectations. 100% going back here soon, and adding this to my list of restaurants. read more

Ever since Thaitanium moved from Laguna woods to this area I have missed them so much. Now they go by the name Thai Princess!! I got take out and ordered spicy basil fried rice, pad see eww and pad Kee mao. All of them were the best. The flavor, spiciness and portion size are all good. Overall, their food is pretty good, so if you're looking for Thai food in the area, check them out. Pad See Ew - 5/5 - The noodles are chewy goodness, exactly what I love about pad see ew. The dish is savory with a hint of sweetness. The Chinese broccoli was cooked just right and not bitter like other places. I would recommend getting this! Tom Kha Kai - 4/5 - This is a creamy coconut chicken soup. It's savory, tangy, and lightly sweet all at the same time. The soup is really delicious, but my gripe is with the lemongrass pieces in the soup. Usually, the lemongrass is minced, or left as big pieces that don't make it to the bowl. However, the pieces in my soup were quite big, dry, and not palatable. I spent time eating the soup and scooping them out, so it took away from the experience. read more

Thai Princess... The princess or queen of Thai food in Orange County! I'm surprised they don't have more reviews. I'm so delighted to have dropped by here. Apparently, they have been at this location next to King Harbor Seafood on Harbor and Garden Grove Blvd for about 2 years... and I never got a chance to try them at their old location in the Westminster Target center on Beach and Edinger. We ordered the Pad See Ew with Tofu, which was pretty good, but the noodles were a little soggy. However, the fried tofu was on point and fresh! Next, we got the Squid Papaya Salad, which is the best I've ever had. It was fresh, crunchy, and packed with flavor and spices. The best dish we had was the Larb Seafood, which was a combination of fresh seafood served chilled with lots of citrus flavor and spice. I will definitely come back here to try their other items like soup and dessert whenever I have a craving for Thai food. Happy eating! read more
