Love Thai food, had purchased a Star Telegram promo $40 for $20 after checking out reviews on yelp*, so had pretty high expectations... Was not disappointed!!! Started out with chicken satay w/ cucumber salad. Chicken very tender, cukes light and refreshing. Six satay sticks, wonderful peanut sauce. My standby is chicken pad thai. We also ordered spicy chicken basil fried rice and red chicken curry. All at #3 spicy on a scale of 1-5... Red curry was fantastic, I think I have found my new favorite! Waited 15-20 minutes after a server told us to go to the counter to order to go. About 5 employees looked directly at us, then wandered off. One guy was literally with his back facing us for 10 minutes, looked, turned back around. We left and will never come back. Garbage service. read more

I eat here at least once a month and I'm addicted to their yellow curry with chicken. I've had a few other dishes but always go back to this. I also love their lunch menu because I can get this with a salad and egg roll. It's more than enough for one meal so I often get half to go and enjoy it later:) I'm also addicted to their boba tea...taro is my favorite! read more

Soup was great traffic was too heavy and these people dont deliver. The girl handed me my to go order snob here nose when I scratch out tip on the to go order. I dont tip unless they wait on me. I would have tipped 20% for delivery. BUT they dont deliver. They also shorted me a soup that I ordered, but didn't charge. The pad ti was not that great. Giving one small lime slice. While on vacation, I found this restaurant. I ate there everyday! They converted all my meals to vegan. Veggies were fresh and I tried a few different dishes. All were amazing! I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (L3) on the lunch menu. The spicy level was 2 and the dish was fresh and fairly tasty. The food was OK, but definitely not the best I have ever had. The portion was fair, but could have been a little bigger, consider how much it cost me. The price of the lunch menu includes a tiny bowl of salad and an eggroll. The eggroll was not impressive, since I could have bought some at the frozen section at Sam's Club. The service was slow even when were there around 11:20am before the lunch hour. With the price I had to pay for the dish, it would have been better to dine elsewhere. read more

Great Thai Food! This place is worth your time and money. Chicken Lo Mein, Massaman Curry, and Teriyaki are yummy.

The food is simple and delicious, but it is so packed with flavor. Their brown rice is the best I've ever had, which must be because it's actually a mix of brown and red rice. I usually get the green curry, thai basil, or basil fried rice and have never had a single complaint. If you are a tofu eater, I guarantee you will like theirs. It's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their lunch special is a great deal too. This is my go to place when I'm craving Thai. read more

The food is good, but don't expect anyone to see that your glass or cup is empty. Mine sat empty and no waiter stopped by to check and I could never catch their eyes. The level of heat is inconsistent at best. I've ordered 3 each time, and tonight my mouth is on fire. Other nights I wonder if they ran out of peppers. read more

We ordered our drinks first..water and Thai iced tea. First time we've had Thai iced tea and it was amazing! It came in a cute mason jar. They also have the tiny ice cubes like sonic that are really crunchy! We had the shrimp spring rolls for an appetizer, which were excellent. For our entree we got the Pad Thai shrimp and chicken, and it was extremely flavorful! Great portion size too. Will definitely be back to try more!!! :) read more

Delicious food and great service. If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out. I got a spicy dish at level 3 heat and it was a bit too spicy for me. I'll be going with level 2 next time. Have missed having great Thai since I moved here 13 years ago. Finally, found this place because of a Groupon and so glad I tried it. Looks like a hole in the wall type place but the food and service are top quality. They make art out of everything they touch, from the flower carrot, to the fire pot soups and appetizers, and the portions are unbelievable. Must try if you love Thai or like Chinese. You won't be sorry. I eat here alone, I can't get enough. I even brought my sister and a really good friend here kicking and screaming, literally, and now they won't let me take them anywhere else. Neither one likes Chinese, nor had Thai before. They know the difference now and are forever hooked. Funny, they both thought the spring rolls were brought out raw, and was ready to send them back to get cooked until they saw that I ate mine "raw" and gave it a try. How cute is that? This is hands down, my favorite place to eat. Lunch is only $10.01 WITH tax! And wonderful food. Try the lemon dressing for the salad. YUMM! Green Curry is my to die for meal but even I had to try the other items. So far only the yellow curry I would not try again, too many other great choices for me. read more

I tried Thai Select for the first time almost two years ago and I've been hooked since then. Sometimes I go twice a week (or more)... Yes, it's grown to a slight addiction. Love the laid back atmosphere with deep, developed flavors. Thai comfort food, no doubt! I've tried quite a few menu items, but my favorite are: veggie spring rolls (amazing peanut sauce!), gang pak (sweet, savory and fragrant vegetarian option. Similar to a curry.) Massaman curry (sweet and aromatic spices and distinctive coconut milk flavor) Panang curry (savory spices and lighter coconut milk flavor--great if you add broccoli) pad pak (garlicky and spicy veggies...I prefer it with tofu) and som tum (papaya salad with fresh, crisp veggies and crunchy cashews). read more

Having had Thai Select recommended to me by a friend, I had high hopes for this restaurant. I tried this location three different times with carryout (2 entrees, 1 appetizer). The first time, I was unaware that I had to request the spice level of the dishes and was not told so by the person taking the order. The food while of good quality items was bland and tasteless without any heat. The second and third time, I requested spice 3 out of 5 on both of the entrees and only one had any heat to it both times. This was a great disappointment. However, the main reason for the 2 out of 5 stars was about the appetizer that was ordered along with the entrees. All three times, it was a terrible disappointment. The first time, the bamboo shrimp was clearly overcooked and the second time it was burnt with visibly darkened edges. The third appetizer, the soft shell crab, was burnt beyond anything I've seen leave a restaurant kitchen. It was inedible. The smell alone made me take it out to the curb before morning. Perhaps it is because I was a carry out customer, but the disregard for the quality of the food produced has made it so I won't return. If only to spare the poor animal about to get fried. read more

A nice urbanized approach to Thai food and with several vegetarian options that might well heal your soul. While short on exotic scenery and an authentic Thai atmosphere (will miss Mama Tiki, the definitive Thai Cook, sniff) the food is still high-class and appealing to the senses. This is probably the only place I've been to in Fort Worth that has vegetarian duck. Just to make it crystal clear, that is not a vegetarian-fed slaughtered duck, but faux duck meat. I suppose if it was real duck and not vegetarian duck substitute, I would have egg(roll) on my face. Great place and I'm not a 'quack' so give them a try. read more

Well, I've seen this restaurant quite a few times and been by it often and always said I'd try it. A friend got me hooked on Thai food in Cali, especially the peanut sauce and I love Thai Selects sauce. So one night my wife & I were in Ft Worth and were close to there we actually went in the French restaurant but decided to go right next door. Thai Select has been the best Thai restaurant i have discovered in the DFW metroplex. The service is consistently wonderful. The food is also consistently delicious, from the salad with fresh peanut dressing, to the Pad Thai. They also have the best blended boba Thai tea i have ever had. It has consistently been the worst service I've experienced anywhere. I have given this place numerous chances to redeem themselves but they have failed each and every time to improve. The staff is not very affable or attentive. It seems that refilling beverages is a chore for most of the them and I have refilled my own on many occasions. I also have to chase someone down to get a check and to pay it as well. And don't try to sit in the adjacent dining area of the restaurant. They don't seem to like anyone sitting in there. Sometimes they wont even acknowledge that you are waiting to be seated. They will cram as many people as they have chairs into the first dining room with no regard for patrons comfort. They would probably sit people on each others laps if one would allow it. I have seen comments that Thai select has "the best" spring rolls. They are by far the worst I have ever had. Most grocery stores have better quality spring rolls than this place. I am not exaggerating. read more

Yelp decided to not show my review from 3/5/2015, so I'm going to post again and continue to post until they stop white-washing reviews. Below are statements of fact and my opinion: "If I could give this zero stars I would. I'm not normally the guy to give a bad rating , but this place is worthy. Portions are small for $10-11 entrees. Whatever Pad Pow ground chicken meal I got was bland, and didn't taste like the spicy level three I ordered. Bland. Fried rice bland. I wasn't happy having to pay $10 a dish for bland food.... Then I got a long hair in my bite. Pretty hard to screw up fried rice and ground chicken heated up with some bell peppers and jalapeño, but this place succeeded at failing miserably. Do yourself a favor and go light $40 on fire before eating here." Update: I talked to some of my friends in the area and they said this place was once good, but noticed a sharp decline in service lately. I hope Thai Select gets it together, restaurant business is tough and I hate not having good loaves to eat. read more

Once we finally got served, the servers look unhappy, seemed in a hurry and could care less.
