She said about 2 inches. 1/2 inch is a LONG way from 2 inches. The waitress should be better informed or at least not make wide guesses if she doesn't know. The flavor was pretty good, but it was overcooked. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was well done (a misnomer if you asked me). So it was disappointing. And at $42, it had better be very good! The potatoes were interesting but all the flavoring was on the top and it was impossible to mix it due to the sticky cheese. My wife ordered the polenta and salad and both here good. The other couple had salmon, which looked dry but was reported to be good and the chicken looked moist and was reported to be very good. The dessert was awful. Bland with odd flavors. One other reviewer mentioned the desserts weren't good. I wish I had listened. The waitress was attentive (but complete wrong about the thickness of my steak) and the place does have a good atmosphere. It's too bad the prices are so ridiculously high and that the food doesn't make up for it. It's only OK.
