Food is solid and they keep it clean. Service was average, while we were the only party of 4 in the restaurant. I took issue with ordering a 15$ salad, that did not come with enough dressing to sufficiently accommodate the serving size. I asked for additional dressing and after the 2 servers talked amongst themselves, they told me ok, but there would be an additional charge. I voiced my concern that there was not enough to begin with and was told, sorry, do you still want it. I went ahead and ordered additional dressing, which was an extra $4. I ordered the drunken noodles which I wanted to try again because I had a famous chef by the name of jet. Tila make this for myself in a group of friends and it was wonderful. This restaurant is so much Thai basil, which has a licorice taste that the whole dish tasted like licorice and soggy noodles, and it was awful. I've never written a review before because I not that kind of person and I'm certainly not a big foodie I just know what taste really good and what tasted really horrible. I hope this might help anyone else who might order this dish because drunken noodles shouldn't taste like licorice. Much much too heavy handed on the Thai basil.... Awful.!!!! read more

We have been ordering from Thai Spoon for several years, because we love their food, and ordering through Door Dash has been handy. The last 2 times we ordered food, we were missing one of the items in our order. This is getting to be unacceptable. I was able to get reimbursed with Door Dash credit, but when our friends and family are expecting a dish and it's not there, it's very frustrating. I hope that Thai Spoon will start double and even triple checking and counting the orders before they are picked up, especially if they are large orders with many items. read more

It was pretty good experience. Customer service was good. Ambience was good. Food was mediocre. Spice level was not accurate. I got the hot was not spicy at all. Got extra meat and didn't get that much. Red curry was lacking depth of flavor. There is barely a hint of lemon grass and other herbs. read more

We were looking for warm soup on a typical winter day in Redlands and found it at Thai Spoon Cafe. I had a beef noodle soup (sorry. I can't remember the name of it) and my companion had a Tom Kha with chicken. My soup was a little sweet and a little savory. It had lots of noodles and plenty of beef. I would order this again. My companion's soup looked good to me, but they didn't finish it, so I'm not sure what that means for it. I asked my companion, and she said this about her soup: "It was yummy!" Thai Spoon Cafe is a small local restaurant in Redlands that serves up delicious Thai dishes while providing excellent service before and during the pandemic. They have another location that I visit in Loma Linda, which also serves up yummy Thai dishes. Both locations have always shown me great service and friendly faces. With the recent the COVID-19 situation, this restaurant adapted to Take Out Only. Because I was in the area, I decided to phone an order and pick up some of my favorites: Panang Curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Thai Fried Rice. The food was packaged neatly and was delicious as usual. The lady who answered the call was also pleasant while taking my takeout order. I definitely appreciate small businesses that still go the extra mile in making sure the food and customer service are upheld even during difficult and sometimes uncontrollable situations. Overall, this was a good place but just a few things brought it down a notch. My wife ordered the Red Curry and Glass noodles with chicken and a Thai Tea to drink. Normally when we go to Thai places, my wife gets the Green or Yellow curries. The Red Curry here has shifted her mind that the Red is probably the best tasting of the 3 varieties. She ordered the Glass noodles just to try for a bite or two with the intent to take home the rest. She liked it and it was good, but the chicken was dry. The Thai tea here is housemade and she liked that as well. I got the Nua Thoon, which is a beef noodle soup. I was honestly expecting a version of Boat Noodles, but this has a light broth similar to Vietnamese Pho and has its own unique flavor. Overall it was good. The odd part about our visit was when we asked for a Togo box for the full plate of our Glass noodles, the server brought out a small box that was only big enough for maybe a small appetizer. We asked for a bigger one, but she said that was all she had. So we asked for another small one, which she was hesitant to give us but agreed to and we barely managed to fit the dish between the two small boxes. During our visit we saw multiple people pick up their carryout orders in Full-sized boxes, so it just didn't make sense. Either way, the food is good here and that's the important thing. read more

What a find this delicious little restaurant was, glad we found it one night when looking for some good Thai. Though in an older strip mall, they have really made the interior decor bright, clean and welcoming. The employees were very friendly and efficient. We ordered at the counter and they made all our meals to order in a surprisingly short amount of time. We enjoyed the delicious aroma of the food cooking as we waited! There were both Thai and Chinese selections on the menu, nice for those not as familiar with Thai who like standbys like chow mein and fried rice. I got the Pad See Ew, my fav Thai dish, and was glad I did - deliciousness. It was a generous portion that I ate every bit of. The noodles were perfect and I loved the sauce, it was the perfect amount of savory with a bit of sweet. SO yum. Happy we found it, we will definitely be back! read more

I came here last year with family for take out during COVID, we took our food and ate at a nearby park. We ordered Green Curry tofu, pad see ew and a fried rice dish. The food was tasty and well flavored, portions were okay but not enough. The price was equivalent to what you would expect comparing prices with other Thai restaurants. There are a lot of choices for vegans so that's one plus about this place. If I have to grab a bite and I'm in the mood of Thai, will definitely be willing to try this place again with my children to see what else they have to offer. I have loved this place for years the food is always amazing no matter what you get. Comes out burning hot and the veggies are so fresh. People are always so friendly here too, someone bought our meal for us once. The pineapple curry is my favorite and the green curry is my partner's. We eat here and get take out from here often and I thought I was gaslighting myself over the portions, but they definitely got smaller. Not sure if it was a one time fluke, but they only gave half as much curry as usual, and charged the same. I got a 25c add on of fish chili oil and it was a tiny portion too. I'll definitely keep eating here but it did feel a little disappointing since it was such a big difference from what we got only a few weeks ago. read more

I don't know how the Thai Spoon Cafe has slipped under my radar for this long! It is a gem on the northside of the 10 freeway in Redlands. However, be warned that it isn't the safest area to be in after dark. The first thing we noticed coming in was the cleanliness of the restaurant. I'm guessing it opened in 2016/2017. The environment was inviting and My eyes were immediately drawn to a 2017 "People Love Us on Yelp" award! The restaurant is decorated with wood floors, walls, art, tables and organization boxes. Our server Ian welcomed us in and promptly sat us. To quench our thirst, we immediately started off with a pair of waters and an Iced Thai Tea(sadly no boba!). To satisfy our tummies, we split the Chicken Yellow Curry(Thai Spicy) and Drunken Noodle(Thai Spicy) and finished off with the Mango Sticky Rice! The Thai Tea gets a cool 5/5 from me. You can't really mess that up! The Yellow Curry came with a mound of rice on the side. It comes with generous portions of your choice of Chicken, Beef, Pork, Tofu, Shrimp or Seafood and a spice level of Mild, Medium or Thai Spicy ... in a curry of coconut milk, potatoes, onions and carrots. We opted for the classic Chicken Curry and were happy with out choice. The Curry came out fresh and steaming! My mouth was dying from the mix of hot temperature and Thai Spicy. *Beware! I don't know what that bowl is made of, but it insulates so well that our Curry stayed steaming hot during our whole stay! I'd give the Curry a solid 4/5. It is generously portioned, however I personally prefer a richer and thicker flavor and consistency. Drunken Noodles!?!? My wife and I are at the tail end of a 40 day "fast" that included giving up alcohol. What better way to get drunk than on some Thai Drunken Noodles!!!!! Once again, we opted for Thai Spicy Chicken and once again the heat and spice from the dish felt like it had given my mouth 3rd degree burns haha. It consists of flat noodles, chiles, onions, bean sprouts, bell peppers, Chinese Broccoli, and Basil. The MVP of the dish was the Broccoli! It was perfectly cooked... none of that uncooked rock hard crunch or soggy-raisin bran-lookin texture. It just absorbed all of the sauce and juice of the dish... If you asked me how the dish tastes, I would just give you a nibble of the broccoli... no words needed. 4.5/5. Mango Sticky Rice.. 5/5. Period. My wife and I shared this little desert and once it arrived, she had no problem apportioning the plate so that she gets the good stuff. *Tip for you men out there... the wife is always right, especially when it comes to dessert. Don't even bother arguing lol*. The mango is perfectly ripe, the rice was sticky, and the sesame seeds were doing their thing! read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I realize they have three locations but this is the only one I have been to. I am new to the area and I found this to be the best I have found. I have not tried their other two locations but I am certain they will be terrific as well. The food here is authentic Thai and it is cooked with pride that shows. This is our 5th time coming here, the food is AMAZING so flavourful and right! Every time we've came it's been delicious it's so consistent, they really never miss. The customer service is amazing too, I don't really remember her name but she's always a sweetheart! She always has a smile on her face, always greets us, and says goodbye! I love the cleanliness of this place, it appears that they take really good care of the restaurant. The only bad thing I can say is that the menus are a little sticky, but that's literally it lol.
