Thai fried rice

A hidden gem in the strip mall at the corner of Redbud Lane and Gattis School Road. My wife and I had lunch there today. I always order the Penang curry which is my favorite. My wife had the Thai fried rice. We're never disappointed at Thai Spoon. And there's a new ice cream shop right next-door!

Chicken wings to go, 6/10

One of my favorite Thai spots in town for many years now. Been coming here for nearly a decade now and it is always consistent. My top dish is easily the drunken noodles. Noodles and beef are cooked to perfection. They give you plenty so always a highlight to have enough for a second lunch another day. I wanted to try the wings out. Mind you this was a to-go order, so weren't fresh out of the kitchen, but they were slightly disappointing. Not much flavor and on the skimpier side. We also ordered the kid's sweet and sour fried chicken. We assumed the sauce would be on the chicken but it's just on the side for you to dip. side note: not mango season so no mango sticky rice.

I'm always on the lookout for excellent Thai restaurants and I'm adding Thai Spoon to the list. Although located in a somewhat nondescript shopping center, the food is anything but bland. This family-run restaurant churns out some amazing entrees and it seems to be very busy most of the time. One of my old essential standbys that I find sets the tone for any Thai restaurant is green curry. Thai Spoon's version is excellent, filled with bamboo and proteins that are cooked to perfection. The sauce was pleasingly creamy and held together well. Some curries end up with a broken sauce but Thai Spoon was made exactly right with a good snort of pepper spices as well. The Pad Woon Sen hit the right notes too with a good balance between the brightness of lime juice and savory soy and fish elements. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will be back. Highly recommended.

So the service was great. Both the young man and young lady working were very friendly and helpful. My soup was very mediocre. It tasted like they added water to the broth to stretch it. I can't say that I will be back. I hate wasting money on bland food.

A tradition stripe mall restaurant- open concept - kinda dark. The staff was ready to serve and friendly - quick order turn around - almost like it was all prepared ahead. Nothing exciting to say other than it was traditional food and good service.

Pad Thai- Thai hot with egg

Thai Spoon has been one of my favorite Pad Thai spots for a few years now. I have actually not tried anything other than their Pad Thai and mango with sticky rice. The mango with sticky rice is delicious every single time and up until the last few visits their Pad Thai has been off the chain. Unfortunately, the spice level has not been delivering the proper heat. I always order the Thai hot spice level and I even top it off with a little Sriracha. When I received my first wimpy spiced noodles, I thought maybe it was just an ordering mistake but it's happened about three times now. I'm not sure what's changed, but because of this it just is not my favorite spot anymore.

Came out here for a craving fix! Needed some good Thai food (especially some noodles). The restaurant was actually fulllllllll on a Tuesday night and there were many customers coming in to pick up online orders. That's always a good sign. Ambiance: super chill and family friendly. Parking: lots of it (no need to worry about it) Food: delish! Not pictured: the taro boba, potstickers as appetizers & my husband's pineapple shrimp fried rice. It was all super yummy! Prices: a bit steep in this inflation but it's expected.i would come back!

From the welcoming staff to the incredible food and inviting ambiance, everything about this restaurant stands out. I primarily eat raw fish sushi, so ingredient quality is incredibly important to me, and it truly shows here. Every dish is fresh, beautifully prepared, and consistently outstanding. Andy is one of my absolute favorites--he goes above and beyond for every guest, and his attention to detail and genuine care never go unnoticed. I honestly can't imagine going to any other sushi restaurant when we have such a perfect spot right here in our Round Rock neighborhood. Highly recommend!

I did not realize it until I saw a lower amount than I was expecting. Overall, very good dining experience. Will definitely return to try more of their menu items.

So anytime we eat sushi we pick somewhere else: but this time I said it's so close to the house, screw it let's give it a try. So glad we did!!! When we first walked in we honestly almost left it was 11:30 and we were literally the only table there. The table at the entry was covered in clutter the bar was covered in clutter and being the only ones there we were quite concerned. But I'm glad we stuck it out. We did the all you can eat, they have a toll separate menu for it. I think we tried everything on it! Everything we had, minus the ice cream, was incredible! Our server was fantastic too, she was friendly and always had a smile. It's no Uchi but for a local spot and for the price, we will be back for lunch for sure!

We came during happy hour and sadly the food was beyond sub par. Combo fried rice The peas in the rice were still frozen and unthawed. Our 16 month old daughter couldn't even chew them. I wouldn't pay happy hour prices for food that doesn't make my mouth or stomach feel nasty.

There were water, bowls, utensils, and sauces in the lobby for anyone to grab, which was nice. We ordered their cucumber salad, beef noodle soup, and lamb noodle soup. Cucumber salad was 2/5. It wasn't the authentic smashed cucumber salad, the flavor was missing something, and I mean, for $7 or $8, you would think it would be amazing....it's not. Pretty disappointing, I'd much rather have my sister's over these. Beef noodle soup was meh. Nothing special. Broth was very simple, like they just added salt and that's it. Meat was cooked very well. My soup came with 1 piece of lettuce, weird.. Lamb noodle soup was the same as the beef noodle soup; it did come with the black fungus, seaweed, tofu, and some vermicelli clear noodles, along with their handmade noodles. Made sense why it was only $13.95 for the noodle soups. It's reasonably priced probably due to not being authentic, though, I wouldn't pay more than $10. They had handmade noodles, which many people do like. However, their noodles were very bland, along with their soup. I didn't find anything special here either. Maybe I'll get their dumplings or fried noodles the next time we come, but it's a no for me.
