I was told about this place from my mom. After an event, she suggested we'd come here and we came with our friends. There is much parking, no need to pay for the parking either. It is on a busy street so turn into the parking lot cautiously. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment outside is gorgeous just as the inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It smells so delicious coming in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Were greeted right away and got seated quickly. They gave us our menus and let us browse for a few minutes and when coming back they took our orders. We had ordered water to accompany our dishes. My mom and I were able to use our Vietnamese with our server and he corrected us where needed when we ordering our food. Much appreciated to our server (I didn't catch his name). We apologized and he said it was okay. I like how they speak both english and Vietnamese here. I had ordered their Cơm Chiên Bó Lúc Lắc, on their Menu it's number E2. In english the food item is cubed filet mignon on a bed of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. You have the option of steamed or fried rice. I ordered my dish with steamed rice. It was delicious! The filet mignon was rich in taste and tender. Each bite better than the last. It was my first time here and definitely will want to try some other items. What's great about their menu too is that they have photos you browse through and toward the end of the menu it shows the number and price. Creative I thought. Can't wait to be back!

THANH MY RESTAURANT @ WESTMINSTER Parking is available right out front, and it was actually pretty easy to snag a spot on a Saturday night. My family and I were craving some good Vietnamese food, and this place popped up online and looked really promising, especially because their menu is huge with so many different options. We were seated pretty quickly, and we started off with the chicken wings, the garlic butter dish, and a fish tomato soup. The soup was honestly incredible, definitely a 10/10 and probably the highlight of the entire meal. I also ordered the Chè Ba Màu, which is usually a colorful three-layer dessert drink with beans, jelly, and coconut milk. Unfortunately, this one did not live up to expectations at all. Half the cup was just packed with mushy beans, barely any jelly, and mostly milk. It didn't even have the signature colorful layers. I politely asked if they could remake it, but they literally just poured the same drink into another cup and handed it back to me. One of the staff members also seemed annoyed and told me it was "supposed to look like that." I've had this drink many times before, and it has never been like this, so that experience was definitely disappointing. The chicken wings had good flavor, but they were extremely overcooked and dry. Overall, the staff also weren't the friendliest during our visit. That being said, the soup alone would honestly make me come back because it was that good. I'd probably return to try more of their soups and other dishes, but I would personally avoid the drinks and chicken wings next time.

This is one of the oldest Vietnamese restaurants in the Bolsa area. I've been coming here for over 20 years, ever since I first moved to Orange County and finally I writing a review, because I truly want to support this place and hope they continue to maintain their quality and reasonable prices. One of my favorite dishes here is the canh chua (Vietnamese sweet & sour soup) and cá kho tộ (caramelized braised fish in clay pot) . it's perfectly seasoned for those who enjoy authentic Southern Vietnamese flavors, like I do. Other dishes are decent and consistently well prepared. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant may be old, but it's kept quite clean and is located right in the heart of Little Saigon, so it's easy to find.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is friendly and relaxed, and there are plenty of parking spots nearby !

This spot is an institutional staple in the Little Saigon area, having been run by the same family for nearly 50 years. It's a go-to place for classic, traditional Vietnamese home-style cooking. While I wouldn't call it exceptional, the food is solid and comforting. Exactly what you would expect from a long-standing neighborhood restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is on the smaller side and can get quite packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our party of nine made a reservation, and they had the table ready for us upon arrival, which we appreciated. The main issue, however, was with the corkage fee. We had called ahead and were quoted $15 per bottle, which I noted before making the reservation. At the restaurant, we were instead charged $20 per bottle, even though we brought our own glassware and openers. Service was somewhat inconsistent. At times it felt attentive, but there were long stretches where no one came by to clear plates or provide bowls and extra plates unless we specifically asked. Toward the end of the meal, Anthony (the owner) came over to speak with us, which was a kind gesture. Unfortunately, since the corkage charge was presented at the very end, we didn't get a chance to raise the issue with him directly.

Love coming here, I've been coming here for the longest time and the food never disappoints. Fast, easy and great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is clean and has plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for home cook style Vietnamese cuisine this is the place. I ordered the macaroni with shaken beef and it did not disappoint. Beef was tendered in the sauce was delicious. Very well put together. Macaroni was also delightful. Perfect combination. They have the best eggrolls here. Highly recommend it if you're in the mood and in the area.

Com phung is what this place is known for. They serve your traditional Vietnamese meals with catfish, soups and braised meats. We happens to get all fish. Good stuff and the place wasn't too crowded. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Prices are reasonable and the place is clean and bright.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating and located in a large center.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd come heck to try other things

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good family style restaurant if you are looking for other things than pho.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a wide selection of food that is good across the board. You can even mix and match family style with personal orders. We had family style for 3 (plenty for 4 people) plus 2 bowls of individualized shrimp/grilled beef bun and egg roll/grilled beef bun. Both bun were solid. As for family style, we got caramelized catfish, stir fried green beans and beef, hot and sour shrimp soup, and stir fried Chinese spinach with garlic. All were fantastic and served with plenty of rice. I haven't been here in years but if I need Vietnamese home cooking, I'm heading here.

This restaurant was pretty good. Had the three course meal for two people. I love the fish soup and the caramelized fish. It's one of my favorite restaurants.

    Mi Kho (5/5)
    Kenny N.

Mind blowing. The best Mi Kho I've had. The noodles are perfect and there's so much variety of meat in this dish. And there's soup that came with it was a full circle delight. This was a HH special too so it was like $10 for this! Wife ordered the Bo Luc Lac and that was a 5+/5 as well.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean and the wait staffs were nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were sat immediately and the owner took our orders. We got the family combination which consisted of canh chua (sour soup) clay pot catfish, garlic sauté ongjoy rau muống xào tỏi. Gỏi dừa tôm thịt. Canh chua cá 9/10. Flavorful with 2 slice of catfish. Cá kho tộ 8/10. The flavor was good but lacking some pork belly, and lemon grass. Rau muống xào tỏi 8/10 Gỏi dừa tôm thịt 8/10. The owner was very nice and friendly. She chat with my mom which left a good impression on her. We will come back for many other items on the menu.

Goi bo tai chanh. Best item here. Dip it in their mam sauce (brown).
    Dennis L.

This place is still so so so delicious. If you plan on ordering 5-6 dishes, I'd recommend doing the family meal (com Phan) because it is a little cheaper. Service is great. I love fermented fish sauce (mam nem) so I always ask for this. It's my favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is usually plentiful also. People come here and eat quite often as well. I ordered Canh chua. Ca kho To. Tom rang. Bo tai chanh. Goi sua Tom thit. All items 5/5 hands down. So so so delicious and such a good meal. I've loved this place since my college days and still love it today. They are opened pretty late at night in case you have the late night cravings. I'll be back per usual. If you're looking for family style viet food, come here!

    Braised Catfish (Ca Kho To)
    Cindy H.

Very extensive menu ranging from Vietnamese noodle soups, broken rice, hot pot, home-style cooking (com phan), & so much more. Appreciate that they have pictures depicting some of their items since the menu can be overwhelming. I got the home-styled meal set for two $37.95 (rice not included, $1.50 / person). You get to choose a soup, savory dish, and salad. Braised Cat Fish (Ca Kho To) 4/5: tender pieces of catfish filets braised in a sweet and savory caramel fish sauce. Could use a bit more caramelization since the sauce was still a light amber color (not dark enough); increasing the cooking time would've reduced the sweetness. The flavor also hasn't fully penetrated the fish. Besides that, I still really enjoyed this dish. Tamarind Fish Soup (Canh Chua Ca) 4/5: a harmony of sweet, sour, and umami flavors from the fresh pineapple, tomatoes, tamarind, and stock. Comes with celery, beansprouts, elephant ear stalks, and a generous portion of catfish. Unfortunately comes in a bowl and not in a pot, so your soup doesn't stay hot throughout the meal. Beef Salad (3/5): sauteed beef and onions over a bed of salad. Flavor was good but beef was a little dry. Meal comes with complimentary Vietnamese dessert (che). Service is straight to the point, with food coming out quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is more on the casual side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The restaurant has been around for at least 45 years with plenty of locals dining here!

Pros - Their French fries are identical to KFC but fried perfectly. Their napkins are the highest grade I have ever seen . It's similar to table cloth which is worth noting. Value -- 4/5 14$ meal as You do get a lot of fries. The fish is a tad bit thin. Mainly getting more batter than fish ratio. Not sure if they have malt vinegar as I didn't see any around. Service was good and there's a decent amount of seating inside with cute little marine themed decor. Lobster roll combo with the soup ($32) - I got the Maine style (cold) lobster roll which had really good flavor and the amount of lobster was really nice. I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top. Fish tacos ($15): You get three tacos which is decent pricing. The fish was crispy and flavor is basic but good. All in all, a good spot to get your lobster roll fix without having to drive too far!

I wasn't able to eat too quickly because of that and my noodles were pretty soggy. They give you a LOT of noodles so two people could definitely share a Hot Stone Pot. The meat is very good but the only redeeming quality about the Pho because the soup was super bland and watery. The Cajun seafood platter was way overcooked so all the seafood inside was mushy AND bland. Service was really quick and the staff there was quick to help. If you're starving and have no other late night options, this is an alright spot but not recommended otherwise.

I basically break down pho to 3 components: Noodles, broth and veggies. 1) The staff member here asked me if I wanted flat or regular noodles which seems obvious to some - but a lot of people don't know pho can come in an optional noodle shape! And I actually like the flat noodle better! 2) Broth. This stone pot special comes out PIPING HOT. You know the feeling when your noodles and meat come out separately and you ask yourself, is this going to cook before my broth is cold? No worries here. My steaming hot pho was hot hot hot till the last bite. And the broth itself had a really clean flavor profile. Pretty refreshing and different from what I've had! Had a really beefy umami flavor that was accompanied by the welcome temperature consistency. 3) Veggies. They keep it simple here with the selection, but again, the service was awesome. He asked if he could refill the veggies for us and the limes here are on point! Surprisingly hard to find juicy limes with the flavor to set you off on your pho adventure. The veggies were fresh and it's a nice touch to cook the sprouts so you don't end up with undercooked sprouts which tend to be bitter at times. Really chill spot. Nice calm EDM. Good meal to warm you up! And nice wide parking lot.

Along with that, our table also ordered: the quail with sticky rice ($20.99), salted fish and shrimp fried rice ($24.99), shaken beef with garlic noodles ($22.99), bok choy with sautéed garlic ($12.99), a hot tea ($4.00), Coca-Cola ($5.50), a mojito ($15.00), and a margarita ($15.00). With tax ($17.71), our ticket was $209.16 before gratuity. The NOLA Grilled Oysters come sizzling on a hot griddle, with four different fillings, four pieces each, for a total of 16 oysters. The price might seem a bit indulgent, but not if you consider the effort and ingredients that go into this presentation. Each type was flavorful, and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. The salted fish fried rice was an interesting experience. I enjoyed the dish, though the salted fish was less salty than I expected. Someone in our group, who usually doesn't like salted fish fried rice because they find it too salty, actually liked this version for its milder flavor. The plate also includes four large shrimp. The shaken beef was tasty and tender; the garlic noodles were al dente and had just enough garlic--not excessive. The sautéed garlic added a smoky, nutty taste to the bok choy. The quail was marinated well and tasted good--but I wonder if it was fried just a bit too long. After this meal, I chatted with a friend who lives in the community. He'd been to this spot before but dismissed it as just another seafood boil joint. After our conversation, though, he said he'd be willing to give it another shot. I guess your impression of this restaurant depends, at least in part, on what you order. The service, by the way, was excellent. We came on a Saturday just before noon, and our wait was less than 10 minutes. There's only a small waiting area inside, which probably explains why you often see a line of people waiting outside. The wait was absolutely worth it. Once we were seated, I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the interior was. It honestly felt like stepping into a restaurant in Italy, bright, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. It looks like a great spot whether you're dining as a couple or celebrating with a larger group. Since it was our first visit, our server was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and let us know the dishes have Japanese influences. If you're craving fresh pasta and pizza with a unique twist, this is definitely a place to add to your list. Everything we ordered was delicious. The flavors were fresh, clean, and balanced and not overly seasoned, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine. Our favorites: * Truffle Cheese Bread - You HAVE to order this. The cheese pull alone is worth it! * Kids Meal - The chicken nuggets and fries were surprisingly delicious, and it came in the cutest little Kei lunch pail that my daughter loved. * Branzino Piccata - Fresh, light, and perfectly cooked. * Spicy Miso Carbonara - Rich and creamy with just the right amount of heat. It definitely has a little kick! We were celebrating my daughter's commitment to a sports team, and the staff surprised us with a complimentary brownie for dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration even more special.
