Clean and unique seating, friendly servers, delicious food and good presentation. Will repeat next time in Seattle

Stopped in on a recent visit to Seattle, simply on a whim. Everything was absolutely wonderful. It was not busy, but it was the middle of the afternoon. The food was outstanding, cooked perfection, and very affordable. The ambience was warm and friendly as was the service. Definitely recommend it if you're in this area of Seattle.

I now have eaten at this place 4 times. Really enjoy the family run business who puts out a good variety of different dishes. The server is knowledgeable about the difference dishes and spice levels. I will keep coming for the great food when visiting friends in the Rosevelt area of Seattle.

If anyone is looking for a yummm Thai place in the Greenlake/Roosevelt area, I definitely recommend this spot! I visited this place a few times and each visit = solid yummy experience. Highlights of this place: 1. Menu: Tons of options and cool thing that was offered was the street style and tapa dishes! 2. Pricing: Reasonable and the lunch option is quite the steal! 3. Interior: Super cozy and modern 4. Delicious dishes I have tried so far: -Thaprachan Noodles (similar to a pad Thai but at a level 3 spice, this dish was yummy with sweet burn) -Radna Noodles (broth = 100% yummm) -Chashu Tod Nampla (crispy pork belly street style = nomsss all day with the spicy lime sauce) -Crab Puffs (the imitation crab was chef kiss to this) -Crispy Chicken (chunky and savory = yummy!) - Drinks: Try the Thai tea lemonade! So refreshing and good - Desserts: Try the roti with the banana or mango sticky rice. Both not too sweet, taste light and refreshing. 5. Staff = nice and welcoming. Your water cup will never be empty for long! 6. Tip for parking ~ park diagonally across from Thaprachan at the park & ride :) Always ample spaces and you don't have to worry about street parking. Definitely will be back soon to sample more food!

We placed a catering order for our wedding 10/11/25 and it was soooooo delicious! Owner was soooo nice and very pleasant to work with! Everyone loved the food and it was so flavorful! We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Crispy Chicken, Crab Puffs, White Rice and Fried Spring Rolls. Everything was delicious!

We came here on a week night and there were about 1-3 other tables throughout the 2+ hours we were there. We ordered a yellow curry with chicken with two sides of rice, pad kee mow with chicken, and pineapple fried rice with tofu. They ask that you rate what level spice you would like 1-5 (5 being the hottest). We ordered level 2 spice for each of the dishes and it was still a little bit spicy. There's also chili powder on the table for those who really like spice. All of the dishes we had were amazing and prepared well. And the prices are great. Overall I enjoyed the food and thought it was very well worth it.

This spot hits on couple levels for me... True street style partial menu: CHECK (Funky plates and vibes free of charge) Serves sticky rice?!?: CHECK Food is fresh and unique?: CHECK CHECK I'm not sure what else your looking for in a Seattle area Northern Thai spot if this isn't it? The Scallop appetizer is fire and spicy, Pork Jowl salad had great flavor and decadent texture. Pham Se me Ew was slightly sweet and perfectly done noodles.

Tall ceilings, a few tables, space is well-organized. The service was quick and very friendly. We ordered a late dinner just before they closed, so maybe ordering soft-shell crab wasn't the best idea. The curry split, on the oilier side, but the flavor was there: the umami ocean and the veggies in the curry were crisp. They've got some good drinks including a few thai beers.

The ambiance was inviting, and the food overall was good and authentic with generous portions for about $25 per plate. It was a highly recommended spot. My crispy chicken didn't sit well, but I'd return to try the noodles.

Made a dinner reservation for a cozy corner. When we arrived, the table was ready. We were warmly greeted to a most relaxing spot that was perfect for people watching yet has great privacy. We ordered the following: 1. Pad See Ew - Beef Very flavorful with good portion. Recommend. 2. Green Curry - Chicken Fresh and good with vegetables like eggplant and fresh basil leaves. A bit too spicy for my tastebuds so I'd tone down a notch on the spiciness next time . 3. Thai Iced Tea Sweet. It's our dessert. 4. Brown Rice A bowl of white rice came with the curry but it's extra to order rice so we ordered brown rice to soak up more curry. It's a nice restaurant with good food, service and vibes in the neighborhood of Ravenna. We had other recommendations like Isarn Thai and Thai Ocean but this was the closest to us and clean plus we had to check on the laundry.

ordered the OCEAN PARADISE (softshell crab curry with rice) and it was 11/10!! It was the best dish, super flavorful and the crab was super soft and well cooked. the tom sum tard (papaya salad set) was delicious as well with the chicken wings and their chili sauce as the star! the papaya salad was delicious but quite wet and spicer than the mild crab that we ordered. It also came with pork rinds, vermicelli, and sticky rice! Super delicious and very large portion! cute and cozy with ample seating inside, a cute mirrored bar seating area, and an open kitchenish design! service was super friendly, bathroom was very clean, and definitely well maintained! They're very busy with takeout orders and it was difficult to get the attention of the one front waitress but she was very friendly! Will definitely be back to try all their interesting street food options!

It ended up being so tasty that I came here twice within a few days. The first visit, I got veggie tempura appetizer and chirashi rice bowl. A bit on the pricier side, I still wanted to give it a try. The veggie tempura are actually not separate pieces of vegetables in tempura, but kakiage (shredded veggies fried together) - still pretty good though. The chirashi rice bowl was fantastic - beautiful presentation as the fish came on the side, pretty fresh, and I appreciated the small details, like the wasabi stem inside the scallop and the shiso leaf/sprouts that accompanied the dish. The service was fantastic as well, considering I had a table for one during lunch hour. My second visit I was on the go, so I got the Classic sushi burrito, which again was maybe a little pricier than I would like, but it was worth it. Rice, fish/poke, crab mix, cucumber, avocado - it all mixed nicely wrapped within the rice paper outside, and was convenient to eat for takeout. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you're around the area and feel like treating yourself to more than a soup/salad/sandwich...

I am so grateful for my experience at Life On Mars. It turned out to be the highlight of a…read moretumultuous Seattle trip and I look back on it fondly. We came here mostly for one thing: I absolutely could not wait for their gluten-free vegan chick'n pot pie. A pie i'd been waiting months to try. A pie unlike any other pie. A pie that I still think about to this day. We walked straight into a Cardi B drag show. And by "walked into" I mean we opened the door and Hot Pink Shade sashayed right in front of us. It was exactly the kind of welcome we love. It was also the first green flag in a sea of green flags at Life On Mars. I could barely sit still as I waited to order my GF/VG pot pie. We got the drinks outta the way (a peach hard cider for me and a fancy-schmancy cocktail for the lady). I was positively GIDDY when Anna came to take our order and I blurted out chick'n pot pie excitedly. I nearly died when she said they didn't have any. Normally it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but I was from out of town and had literally been craving this damn pie for months! And I lied, I didn't nearly die but I DID nearly cry and that's almost as bad. Even the bestie lamented about what a let down this was. Anna. Dear, sweet Anna. We must have looked really hard up because this sweet baby angel offered to ask the cooks if they could whip one up special just for me. Let me tell you why this is a big deal: For one, she didn't need to do that. That's going above and beyond, and she was such a graceful little buttercup when she did it. Second, making a gluten free biscuit is a finicky, precise, detailed process. It sucks, honestly, and I don't blame them for not having them every day. I nearly cried when she came back and told us the cooks said YES. And this time i'm not lying. It was beyond the type of customer service i'm used to. It was.... humane. It was...empathetic. It was...totally first world problems but it meant so much to me! Especially since Anna said it had been a DAY and she was at her wits end. For her to have a rough day and still have the grace and compassion to make my stupid GF/VG chick'n pot pie dreams come true.....well, yeah, it made me a bit teary eyed. The pot pie was delicious, as expected. It was nostalgic and comforting, like a big hug in a bowl. The flavors were rich and deep, the biscuit soft and flaky; it was one of the most delicious things i've tasted on my GF/VEG journey. Between the food, the drinks, the customer service and the drag show......this was five stars all around. No doubt. I don't see the GF chick'n pot pie on their menu anymore. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? I hope it comes back, i'll be checking. And when it pops up again, so will I. Thank you, Anna. Thank you to the cooks on 2/19/26. Thank you to Hot Pink Shade, ISIS and King Leo Mane. Just, thank you.

I went here on a Friday dinner, right after the dinner / pre-theater rush, as this place is right next to Paramount Theatre. I got the chicken schnitzel and the Practical Magic cocktail. The chicken schnitzel is quite lovely. The potato salad and the pickled cabbage can be a bit tangy but it cuts the fattiness of the chicken schnitzel. I also enjoyed the curry mustard that goes really well with the schnitzel. $32 is a little bit higher than what I would want to pay, but the quality is there. Practical Magic is quite a pretty cocktail - it has gold stars sprinkled on top. It is a more tart drink with beet and a smokiness from the mezcal. Thankfully they are open today on the Fourth of July (they will just close a little earlier for the holiday), and I was happy to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Without even realizing it, I ended up ordering the exact same drink I got the first time: a Matcha Float with mochi. I guess you really can't go wrong with it because it's still just as creamy and satisfying as I remembered. The only tiny downside is that it only comes with three small mochi balls, so for almost $9 I wish there were a few more. However, the quality of the matcha is consistently excellent, sooo I don't regret coming back. They have wonderful customer service too! The employee helping me at the register was incredibly patient while I stood there trying to decide what to order. As an awkward introvert, I always feel a little flustered when ordering, but she never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She asked my sweetness preference for the Matcha Float, whether I wanted to dine in or take everything to go, and even carefully packed up my yuzu green tea packet with the rest of my order. She was very kind and thoughtful so just wanna say I really appreciate how welcoming she was. Even from my last Seattle visit two years ago, I still remember the employees being helpful and friendly here. I also have to recommend their desserts from my previous visit. (I skipped the sweets this time due to my budget but I still suggest picking up some of their sweets!). The Matcha Basque Cheesecake and the Matcha Tiramisu were both absolutely delicious, and I still remember how amazing they tasted even two years later. The tiramisu is only around $7 and is definitely worth trying if you're a matcha lover. This visit, I picked up their yuzu green tea packet to take home (last time, I got the hojicha). Each packet contains 15 individual tea bags and costs about $10 (not bad for how much tea is in each tea bag). They also sell matcha powder and other tea goodies. I'm looking forward to brewing the yuzu green tea at home since a good cup of hot tea is always comforting, especially when I'm sick (I've been recovering from a cold so tea has been a lifesaver to warm me up!). I actually stopped by for lunch since I didn't eat breakfast, and ordered the Sukiyaki Don (it was much more satisfying than I expected). I was craving a beef bowl and Nana's was one of the few places in the area within walking distance from my work, that was actually open for the holiday today, lucky me! It came with miso soup and a soft-boiled egg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find tofu and mushrooms in the bowl alongside the beef. It left me FULL, my tummy happy, heck yeah. Costs almost $20 but worth satisfying a craving. I won't lie.. I somehow managed to spend about $40 today between my meal, drink, and tea to take home. More than I intended to spend but no regrets, because everything was delicious and the quality has remained consistently high over the years. The only thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable wasn't the café itself. There were quite a few homeless individuals lingering around the front of the building, so I decided against dining out front like I had originally planned since I wanted to enjoy the nice weather, but one of them was panhandling me so I promptly left (thankfully I asked for my order to be packaged for takeout). That's obviously outside of the café's control, and it didn't affect the food or service at all. They still had many seats available inside but probably because it's the holiday. If I recall, the place was packed during the afternoon when I last visited on a weekday. I will still say that Nana's Green Tea continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots whenever I'm in Seattle. Between the consistently high-quality matcha, delicious meals and desserts, excellent selection of teas to bring home, and genuinely exemplary customer service, it's a place I'll happily keep returning to whenever I'm back in town and have the time to visit.

She had wanted to visit for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The café itself is bright, modern, and absolutely adorable. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax over dessert with family or friends. The menu is a dream for matcha and hojicha lovers. They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
