Sukhothai Noodle Soup!! Just trust me and try it. I ordered on Uber Eats for the first time from Yoksod, and it was so good, I found myself ordering takeout again less than a week later. Amazing combination of savory, spicy, sweet, and sour. You also get ground pork, bbq pork, and meatballs! You can choose your noodle, and I prefer egg noodle. I just wish there was more broth. It's so good! On Uber Eats there was no option to choose star level for spicy, and I thought the Pad Thai I got was very meh. Needed some spice. But the Mango sticky rice was really good. This place seems to be known for khao soi. I got mine delivered, so the broth came in a separate container. It was still really warm, though, which was very nice. I really enjoyed this. It starts with the broth, which is amazing. It's got all the creamy coconut milk flavors, but what surprised me is the level of spice included; not just the turmeric, but the chili peppers as well. The flavor combination from the fattiness and the spiciness of the liquid is just great - it reminds me of a yellow curry but at a lower viscosity. Scooping up spoonfuls of this was my favorite part of the dish. The noodles were also good. The crispy egg noodles actually retained their crunch well despite being submerged in the broth. I also thought the main egg noodles were great. Sometimes you fall into the trap of having too much broth and not enough noodles (although in this case I wouldn't have minded), but there really were a lot of noodles in here. The combination of the herbs and other flavorings - cilantro, mustard, and red onion, also worked really well. The one disappointing part was the beef. There were a good amount of pieces, but it just felt like it lacked some flavor; it just kind of felt slightly dry and chewy. I assume the cut used was a lean cut at a lower price, but it just felt out of place in the dish. I think chicken would have fit better with the rest of this. The portion size was pretty good. It's definitely quite a big bowl. A little expensive though at around $20 or so. Overall, everything except the meat is amazing, but the beef does drag it down a bit. 8.25/10 read more

The braised beef was full of flavor and tender. The hot soup that came on the side of the dish was pretty tasty! Definitely enjoyed it. The sauce of the noodle was a bit too salty, but it was still good. The service was good. The server was nice and helpful and the food didn't take long to make. The cost is a bit on the pricier side. A pretty solid Thai spot in the Eastlake area. Upon arrival my friend and I were seated immediately. I noticed the place had plenty of seating without everything being too close together. Service was good as we didn't have to wait long to order and then for our food to arrive. Everything on the menu looked good. The dish I got had a good mixture of items that are typical in Thai dishes and was flavored well. The braised beef was just a tad bit too fatty but otherwise good. I've been searching for a restaurant that has Sukhothai Noodle Soup for awhile and finally came across the most delicious bowl served at Yoksod! What a great dinner here. The service was kind, attentive and warm. I came after work at 5 with a friend and we were the only patrons in the restaurant until 6pm came around with a few more joining. I shared the Fried Pork Wontons with a friend. The wontons are incredibly seasoned, well cooked and paired with a nice sweet chili sauce to balance the savoriness of the meat filling. For dinner I ordered the Sukhothai Noodle Soup with rice vermicelli noodles. You could pick which noodles you'd like from egg noodles, rice vermicelli, thin rice noodles or thick rice noodles. I prefer this dish with the rice vermicelli. It was very flavorful with notes of spice, sour and sweet. The perfect trifecta flavors in a Thai dish. My friend had the classic Khao Soi and really enjoyed her noodle soup as well. At this time of review, there was A LOT of construction on this road. Even so much that it has blocked entrance to the restaurant if you anticipate crossing the street. There are ways to get about and I should say this is well worth the journey! My hope is this review would gain some views and interest so others can really taste the amazing food offered at Yoksod! I will definitely be back to try other dishes. read more

Hidden gem!! Super authentic Thai flavors (sorry folks, candy-sweet noodle dishes can be found elsewhere :p) and one of the few places that doesn't feel like daylight robbery after you're done eating out in Seattle. I've had both the Panang Noodle (which I don't think is a thing I've come across in Thailand, maybe I haven't looked hard enough) and the Dry noodle (egg noodle) with pork. Both of these were a slam dunk in terms of flavor and just overall yumminess. It really felt like I was eating food back in Bangkok. Like others have said, please come here hungry because these are not 200 THB portion sizes; they're big! There are not many good Thai restaurants in Seattle (IMO), so it was super surprising to me to find this place not bustling on weekend prime dinner time - maybe I came too early? went here for lunch and we were the only ones there when we walked in but a few more people came as we sat. The service was nice and fast. The food was mid at best though. Pad Thai was really sweet, I felt like It was very saucy and want more of the wok fried flavor. Just solid average pad Thai, just okay at best. The pad cha I really did not like, I felt like it was salty and the flavors didn't mix and I actively disliked it and we couldn't finish the dish. My cousin did take it to go but to me it wasn't even worth taking it home for leftovers for myself. The ice cream I did like though and without it this review would be 2 stars. Great addition to Eastlake! Very pleasant space to dine-in with friendly service. One of my favorite dishes was on the menu, Khao Soi, so of course I ordered it. The spouse had joined me for lunch and went for the Wonton Noodle Soup. Khao Soi often comes with chicken, and that, in addition to a beef option, was on the menu. I have not seen or tried a beef version, and I wasn't planning on it today. Tofu wasn't on the menu for dine-in, but I had seen it on takeout. I opted for tofu because in the online photo I saw a chicken leg in the dish. This is a common preparation, but I don't happen to like it. Shrimp was not an option, so tofu it was. The Khao Soi was generally delicious, and I am glad it was as fried tofu, but I think I would have preferred shrimp or just chicken breast pieces. This is just a preference, it's good Khao Soi! I tasted the Wonton Noodle Soup and I am definitely getting it at a later date. The broth was so flavorful and the wonton was bursting with shrimp and pork. Looking forward to trying more dishes, 5 star rating because it's now my favorite place in this neighborhood of few delightful choices. read more

Delicious food. I ordered the beef curry egg noodle soup. Truly very exceptional good. I hope this restaurant does well and stays in business forever and opens more locations too. Service was very friendly and polite. The staff offered us a free appetizer, which was very kind. They also were very tolerant that our party took a long time to fully arrive and we also stayed quite longer than most customers might normally. This is a good place. Well priced and they don't overprice smaller items/beverages. Also very clean! Amazing new restaurant in Eastlake! We got the blanket prawns, braised beef noodle soup, and the wonton noodle soup. The mango sticky rice is out of season so we got Thai tea ice cream, which was phenomenal! My only suggestion is that they dim the lamps over the tables after it gets dark out - the light can be a bit harsh. Otherwise the space is tidy and beautiful and we love dining here! read more

Brand new Thai and noodle restaurant that opened in Eastlake! We shared the crab wontons which were delicious! The food came to our table so fast I couldn't believe it. I really liked my pad Thai and thought it was interesting that I got to put in the various spices to make it spicier. The soup (SUKHOTHAI NOODLE SOUP) had lots of flavor and was very good, too. I was excited to hear that there was a new Thai and noodle place coming to the neighborhood. I've never been big into Siam, you can read my review for there if you want to know why. This review is based on sticking with the basics, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Crab Rangoons. When I'm starving it is hard not to stick to these go-tos. In the end, I haven't enjoyed these dishes here as much as some of my other favorite places elsewhere in town. Due to the stark increase in delivery fees, I have given this place plenty of chances though. I'm not very good at describing the specific flavors of these dishes so it's hard to identify exactly what hasn't wowed me, but the first couple time the flavors just weren't there for me and the chicken was very dry and chewy. The last couple of times I have found some improvement in the chicken and overall flavors, especially the pad see eew, delivering that signature heavy wok flavor. It's clearly good enough for me to impulsively order delivery, but still a bit disappointing at this price point, that it is really a steal on the savings. I'm also sad to see that the restaurant is never busy when I pick up my food, and the space seems almost a bit upmarket for noodles that have more star appeal. The prior layout for the Haymaker was really cool with the open kitchen concept and the cocktail bar on the side. I really should try some of their other dishes though. Based on the images I'm seeing they look really tasty. I'll have to do that and then chime back in. I hope they continue to improve their dishes and find a way to broaden their appeal. read more
