The best meals of our trip to Strawberry were at That Brewery. We had a little bit of a wait on Saturday night around 6 as it was pretty busy, but it wasn't too bad (Maybe 10 minutes or so). I had a chili covered potato, and tried some Philly sandwich, and chili cheese nachos. The nachos were a gigantic portion, with elk and buffalo meat chili and melted cheese. They were excellent and we all finished the plate despite the mighty amount to conquer. The chili potato was good, and just the right size for a smaller appetite. I loved the chili itself. It had a good mix of meatiness and flavor. The Philly sandwich meat was very tender and flavorful. Another great item to order. In addition to indoor seating, there's a large outdoor patio where they have live music on the weekends. Service was good and we were checked on as needed. Definitely a great place for a meal if you are in this area. read more

This was such a welcomed stop on our way into Strawberry. The beers were delicious and I enjoyed the margarita and Bloody Mary I ordered. They pickle veggies here and they're very tasty! They even brew their own kombucha but I didn't have any of that. I ordered the ribs and brisket with coleslaw which was really good. I split with my husband who got the southwest burger. It was a good burger but I liked the bbq better! My girlfriends got brisket and the bbq chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was good but very outshined by everything else. I've been stopping by here for years after climbing trips and brought a few new folks to the area here after a day of climbing after raving about how awesome you guys are. Extremely disappointed though with how it went down and not typical at all for the level of care we've experienced here historical. Y'all need a new bartender, fast. After waiting nearly 30mins for 1 growler to be filled and 10 more for a 6-pack to be retrieved. Your horrible old bartender finally gets to me and tells me the beers I want are out. She literally told me how awesome they were when I walked up....might have been a cue to tell me they're out so we didn't stand around wasting time. 4 stars cause I hope this is an isolated incident and not a new standard. Your food and beers are top notch, but not worth it over bad staff. read more

This place was all right. Smells phenomenal as you first walk up. Great outdoor seating amongst the trees and friendly staff. The beers were good. Nothing memorable. No beer really stood out to me and some tasted too similar. The food was good. Had brisket, chili, burgers and no complaints. Dog friendly and their are so many dogs! I love it. I'm gonna be honest... the only okay thing here which was decent was the friendly staff. Food was very greasy with lots of fat and not cooked enough, it honestly tasted like they bought a hamburger patty from Walmart and stuck it on the grill, honestly eating a urinal cake out of a Loves Truck Stop would be more satisfying than this... mediocre food and mediocre prices. If you want to stop at a quote on quote "pub" in search of a burger I promise you the Circle K in Payson has one that you can warm up that's actually worth eating. This is such a fun stop for us when we're in the area! The isn't bad, the beer is tasty and they have a dog friendly patio! They also have volleyball, a giant connect four game, and corn hole outside. As long as you're okay with paying $10 for a pretty average cheeseburger, you're good to go. read more

Nice wait staff, big patio area, decent french fries. My friend enjoyed her chicken salad. The beers were good. The burger buns, the lettuce and tomato were good... the burger patty was DISGUSTING. My other friend said hers was crunchy. Mine had the texture and taste of a grade B frozen patty (the kind with the paper in between each patty) that had been in the freezer for a year or maybe even 2. Literally EVERYTHING else was great. I came here for dinner with family and was very pleased with everything - friendly service, quality of the food, and variety of beers. I didn't know what to expect since I've never been here before. Walking in we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member. There was a 15 minute wait and then we were seated towards the back - we had a party of 8 people. The menu had a little bit of everything - burgers, sandwiches, salads, chili, etc. I had ordered the Chili and was surprised by how tasty it was. It tatsed just like regular chili. I couldn't taste the elk. The service was great, our server did a fabulous job - constantly checking on us and refilling our drinks. The food was pretty good - I only tried the Chili, so my review is based on that dish. I didn't drink any beer, but my boyfriend liked the different variety they offered. They are open and have huge areas outside to eat and relax. Signs on the tables let you know if it has been disinfected. Very good bbq and salads. Love the Monsoon mudd and the Fosil creek beer. I gave this four stars because of the amenities (like volleyball, horseshoes, etc.). The food was good, but the portion sizes should be a little bigger. For the price and the kind of restaurant this is, we shouldn't get smaller portions. I was dissa pointed too because I asked our waiter about the portion size of a particular dish (we had just finished a hike in the area so we were hungry!) (the bratwurst with saurkraut). He indicated it was a good sized meal. While it was delicous, that was not an accurate description. I left hungry :-( The burger my wife got was OK...over hyped in the menu perhaps. Wow! This food is SO good! We had a cheeseburger w/ beer cheese and a pulled chicken sandwich with fries plus a kids grilled cheese and a side of Mac n Cheese. Amazing beer, food, bartenders, and good prices. Whatever you get, make sure you try the pickled veggies! Got the burger with those and That Beer Cheese and bacon with the perfect French fries (just the right amount of salt). Tried both IPAs. I was really impressed with both. One was a session, which are hard to make taste good with a low ABV (3.9%) and it was amazing. Outdoor games and seating too and a vball court! Super cute inside and out. After visiting THAT Brewery numerous times since my first review (including most recently their Oktoberfest event), I can say without a doubt this is my favorite brewery north of the valley! Their strawberry blonde is one of my go-to beers and always satisfies especially from the tap. Their food is excellent and affordably priced especially their happy hour! It's also so cool that they put on events like Oktoberfest that really add to an already fun adventure into rim country. If you're around the Mogollon Rim, do yourself a favor and visit one of their two locations -- Cottonwood (where most of the production takes place--no food served except popcorn and snacks) or Pine (original facility, still brew some beer on site and serves food). read more

Love this place! Been coming to Pine for the last decade and recently moved up here full time. Wish they could get some more help, but it's always consistent and the staff is friendly! Definitely will keep frequenting often. My recommendation (elk and beef chili, Carolina gold wings, or the crispy Buffalo chicken sandwich with bacon added. I'm a big fan of light beer or IPAs and they have a good choice of either. I always do the road rash for a good strong ipa at 7%, and the fossil creek is a good session sitting at 4.2%. read more

The service was amazing, food was delicious (elk burger and smoked brat). I normally don't have dessert but since the atmosphere was so relaxing and didn't really want to leave I ordered the peach cobbler. This is a cool pet friendly place to try as long you are not eating here. The service is horrible , first they ask you if you want to seat outside or inside but forgot to mention one of the outside areas are smoking and no food service. They make you feel like you are a bother to them for making them work. We were told the bartender will take our drink and food order. That didn't happened she call somebody else that mentioned she didn't feel like working. Five ladies working the place and none of them seem happy to be there. 3 stars was just been generous. We were visiting the beautiful pine area and stumbled across this great place. Our waitress was personable, quick, and even brought my dog a bowl of water. Mac in cheese is great! Outdoor seating. I'm sure outside of Covid it's even more of a blast. They have volleyball, horse shoes, and other outdoor activities that were not open due to situation. They had tables separated by about 10 feet and all the staff was wearing masks. We really enjoyed the visit and service and ambiance really made our experience! read more
