We booked 312 Limo for 2 large (50 - 56 passenger) buses and a trolley for our September wedding. We picked them because of their great reviews online, which ended up being such a far cry from our experience on many levels. First, for the more minor issues: the "modern" trolley we booked for pictures and to ride to the venue was far from it - the air did not work on the front half of the trolley, which was a problem given the 80 degree weather, and made many on the bus light-headed. There were colored flickering lights which we asked to be shut off, but the bus driver said he could not control. They said the bus came with champagne - it did not. The more major issue: the bus ride back from the reception at Rockwell on the River to the Loop was nothing short of a disaster. I will preface it by saying that we are from Chicago and live in the city - we understand that Mexican Independence Day causes unpredictable traffic and road closures and have experienced it firsthand. However, there was a path from our venue by taking an early highway exit and side streets back - this was all well laid out real-time on Google maps. The driver instead chose to go all the way around the city and try and take Lakeshore Drive, which had been disclosed would be closed. When he realized he could not get through, he pulled over on the side of the highway and asked us if we would like to get off there and take Ubers. We were miles from the hotel and never would have gotten Ubers for those on the bus. My husband, my father, and my father-in-law then had to try and remedy the situation and directed the bus driver back to Noble Square area where we got off the highway and then were able to take Wacker to the hotel. It took us 2 hours to get home from the venue (from midnight to 2AM). With the detours / road closures and traffic at that hour, it should have been no more than 45 minutes. I understand that drivers are under stress in those situations, but he made no attempt to problem solve, had no one to call at the Company, and clearly gave up. Once we learned that he was booked to drive at 6AM the next day, his impatience started to make more sense, but I am not sure how that is legal. More importantly, the business should have equipped drivers with instructions of a few routes to take given that it was known that Mexican Independence celebrations would impact the weekend (we were checking our phones, and Google maps was was up-to-date on the closures). We completely missed our ability to have an afterparty in a suite we paid a great deal for for that very reason. I have been to many weddings and had transportation hiccups and delays but never experienced something like that in my life. It is important to note that when booking, the owner initially was responsive and easy to work with. Once I sent him an email detailing our experience a week after the wedding - it was a different story. It took me following up 3 times via email before I got to their view of a resolution, which was not really one at all. We spent nearly $6K on all of the wedding transportation with 312 - they offered us $200 off for the issues we had on the trolley alone and did not acknowledge that the bus ride back was a problem. Their direct response was "only 10 people were impacted", which was below the actual count on our bus, and doesn't address the fact that it was the bride, groom and our families, the ones who paid for the buses and cared the most about the wedding, that were impacted. I would also say their buses are older relative to what I have seen with other bus companies. Would never use 312 again. read more

For our wedding, we had 312 provide a white trolley and a van/bus for our shuttle needs. I would definitely recommend working with them for your event! We had a white trolley pick up the wedding party on the day of the wedding at the hotel and took us to the ceremony. The driver stayed there until the ceremony was over, and took us downtown for pictures. We then headed to our venue and we're blasting music as we were on our way to the big party! It was very fun and it was clean. We were able to bring liquor onto the trolley and even provided a bottle of champagne for us which was really cool! After pictures, we had some time to burn so we decided to take the long way to the venue. We then had a van/bus pick us up at our venue to take our guest back to the hotel. It was a different driver from the trolley, but he was still professional and was extremely nice. He was also very timely. Future brides beware! I hired 312 Limo for my July 2024 wedding. Things looked promising at the beginning. They were quick to respond and had my date and time available. I had to book 8 hours of service (they don't offer one-way pricing) for hotel pick-up and drop off at the wedding venue + taking guests back to the hotels at the end of the evening. The driver picked up my guests from the hotels and dropped them off at the venue on time but left and never came back! I paid for 8 hours of shuttle service and received 1 plus my guests had no transportation at the end of the night so we were scrambling to find Ubers. I hired 312Limo to handle my son's wedding and rehearsal dinner transportation needs in downtown Chicago. We had several buses and confusion could have been an issue. Instead, I found them to be great to work with. I love 312 Limo! We were in the white trolley with the balcony in the back and it was so spacious with really cool lighting and limo seating. You can connect your phone and play your own music as well. The driver we had was Eric and he was extremely accommodating. We originally requested no stops for an hour and a half but some of us had to use the restroom and he was nice enough to make a pit stop for us. I called this morning at 9:20 a.m. and the guy who answered seemed indifferent and disengaged from the minute he answered. I wasn't even sure if I was calling the right business because he just answered, "Hello" , not "The 312 Limo, can I help you" ? Or anything like that to give me an indication that this is a professional business.. The exchange was so awkward that even asked if I was calling too early or if I should call back at another time if he was too busy!!???. He said, "No, hold on a minute ..." I used the 312 Limo for my guest transportation and my post-reception car for my wedding. I spent a lot of time (and I mean A LOT of time) researching all of Chicago's available transportation companies, not only for vehicle availability but also for affordable pricing. I ultimately decided on the 312 Limo, not only because they had a wide range of large upscale shuttle busses available (I used a 51 passenger bus) AND a beautiful selection of vintage cars (I used a 1962 White Rolls Royce Silver Cloud), but their pricing was better than most other companies, and I wanted to work with someone who could do it all under one roof. But I must say, the biggest selling point for 312 Limo is the owner, Dan. Throughout all of my research and talking to multiple companies, there were many companies that had terrible customer service and would be as vague as possible with pricing and hidden fees, bus sizes and condition, and their fleets and reservations in general. But Dan and the 312 Limo were a breeze to work with. He was available and able to answer all of my questions over the phone, he provided accurate descriptions of his vehicles (the pictures on his website are the actual vehicle you will be reserving, not just a generic picture like most transportation websites), he was up-front and completely transparent on pricing and even talked me through what price changes would be if I changed my reservation type (shuttle charter vs single trip) or needed the bus/car for more time or less time, and he even went out of his way to help me find an additional bus when another company (not 312 Limo) cancelled on me last minute because they overbooked their own vehicles. Dan went above and beyond and when the wedding day came, his bus and car arrived 15+ minutes early, all of the drivers were professional, courteous, kind, and Fun! My guests were impressed with the bus and said the driver was amazing, and the Rolls Royce was in perfect condition and the driver was amazing and flexible as well.
