I remember thinking that it can't be that good with that name...must be a joke... But then I tried it and was hooked. I don't like Kitchen United in general. However I have to get my Bad Ass Burrito from there. I did appreciate that the staff of Kitchen United was looking to see who walked in the door first to pick up their orders. It is an efficient process. They do get your orders correct. Tried several burritos but my go to order is the wurst burrito. I just love the overeasy egg with the sausage, crispy tater tots, cheese, caramelized onions. Burrito composition is on point. Deliciously full of flavor. If I could get more of that spicy mayo, I use it in my breakfast meals to reminisce about my burrito. This time I did measure it. It was 7.5 inch x 3.5 in x 1.5 in. It's a burrito meant to be eaten by two people. If I'm by myself, I eat half in a sitting. Ask me what I want to have for a meal, I'd be quite happy with a wurst burrito any day!!! read more

Bad Ass Breakfast Burritos is located in Kitchen United Mix, a shared space that houses 9 other takeout/delivery businesses in the middle of Pasadena. It's a nice concept as it allows you to order various types of food and pick it up all in one spot. Parking is street, however, so good luck if you're picking up during lunch hour. I ordered a wurst burrito. It's pretty hefty, stuffed with three eggs, tater tots, cheese, and caramelized onions. You can also choose from several types of sausages, including impossible alternatives for the vegans. The flour tortilla is crisped so it gives it a nice texture. I've tried a lot of breakfast burritos in and around the LA area and I'd say this probably falls into the middle of the pack. Although solid, nothing really stands out. It's just your average breakfast burrito with your standard ingredients. The caramelized onions are a bit of a twist, I suppose, along with the ability to choose different types of meats and sauces. But it's not enough to stand out from the crowd. Also, from a price point perspective, it's a bit on the steep end for what you get. Prices are reasonable even through delivery apps, so I appreciate that. The portions are generous and food quality is quite nice. The menu isn't huge, but they do offer a lot of meat options, including Beyond and Impossible meat. This is a huge bonus, in my book. I ordered one of their Impossible options. The burrito was quite big, and the three eggs took up lots of space. I appreciate that they actually give more eggs (three total) than cheaper filling like potatoes. Wasn't the biggest fan of the American cheese, which had a strong greasy taste. I would ask for this to be excluded next time. Highly recommend the onion rings. They have a light crispy coating that reminds me of tempura batter. The extra 79 cents for the garlic aioli is also worth it! read more

Picked up a couple of burritos. Burritos were huge. Big enough to be two meals. Beyond Breakfast Burrito was way better than expected. It actually had everything right and we both enjoyed this one quite a bit. It was my first time trying the beyond sausage and was quite impressed how good it was. Bronco Burrito is the reason they don't get more stars from me. It was good, but there were just way too much very strong flavors competing. Too much bacon. Too much cotija cheese. Too much picked jalapenos. Overall it was wayyyyy too salty. My tongue literally felt numb after eating this burrito. I'll stay away from this one in the future. read more

The cali burrito had arugula and a green creamy sauce in it, which created a fresh twist to the burrito. Had a bite of the wurst burrito and it was really yummy. It was a good sized portion. I loved the bronco because the bacon, jalepeno and cotija cheese played well together. The chaachi's sausage + pastrami filling made each bite meaty; so satisfying for my inner carnivore -Tater tots inside the burritos add crunchy texture. Huge burritos that are practically build your own. Nice and juicy which is how I prefer a burrito, not dry and boring. They are pretty rich so make sure you're ok with that. If you wanted. Boring burrito with just eggs and bacon, this ain't it. Once in a while the delivery takes too long (not their fault) but what is their fault is the tater tots box not being closed when out in the bag or the sauces you add on or pay for are missing. After being presented with this place as an option for food today, I ordered the Wurst Burrito. As someone who had gastric bypass and a tiny tummy... this is easily 5 - 7 'meals'. Heh I love that it has 3 eggs, my voice was sunny side up, and a good portion of sausage; instead of being completely filled with the taste toys as a filter. It is filled with flavor layers! However, if you are similar to me (having Fibromyalgia) and being hypersensitive, PAY ATTENTION TO THE INGREDIENTS!! I saw that they included sides of the spicy mayo and hot sauce (packets of tapatio). What I missed is that they also include the spicy mayo inside the burrito. As a result, I had to add a lot of sour cream to be able to enjoy my burrito; my fault, not theirs! Can't wait for the next time we order from here and, hoping I remember to ask for no condiments inside. Hehe But, if you like the heat, GO FOR IT!! It has cheese, caramelized onions (my fave), eggs, and the sausage of your choosing. I chose Polish kielbasa. Absolute perfection. The caramelized onions brought a sweetness to it. The sausage saltiness balanced it all out. Also, it was huge, like twice the size of my hand. I easily could have only eaten this whole thing for the day and been fine.
