Amazing hidden gem. Bottom floor is a well curated British pub - well designed and makes you truly feel like you're in a British pub, great place to watch games too. Upstairs is a fancy/swanky/hip/cozy vibe, nice place to have cocktails and eat too (can order same food downstairs). Finally for the best part... the food! Red bean hummus - huge surprise and loved it. Comes with rainbow vegetables (not your average carrot and celery) marinated baby tomatoes and a delicious grilled sourdough bread. Char grilled chicken wings - I love char and they do it right, grilled but has great crispy texture and the flavor was 10/10. Refined and def not something you find at any wing joint you'd go to Fish & chips - 5 could tell the fish was top quality, and have the breading/ crisp down right. Remoulade, greens with crispy pigeon peas. Staff was great and friendly! They were open about working out a few kinks they had due to being new. Went to the Parlour for some drinks after seeing a movie. Exactly the end of an evening I was looking for: fantastic and unique cocktails, dark and lovely interior, and good knowledgeable service. I came in here on a first date and had a great time - thought it was a cute spot to grab drinks. The space is super cute for really any occasion. A date, girls night, night out, coworkers grabbing drinks... honestly. anything. We went on a Tuesday and didn't realize that they had trivia night every Tuesday til we walked in. The host, Skyler, was great and let us join even though we missed the first question - he let us catch up. We had a blast playing (won 1st the first game and 2nd the second!! - out of default because the owner got first place both times ;D ) - the prizes were gift certificates to use on your next visit! The cocktails were pretty good. I definitely recommend trying multiple off their cocktail menu. I did ask the bartender to make an espresso martini but wasn't really impressed by it (which is why I say to go off the menu)! We also ordered the curry fries which were DELICIOUS! This place was a great find! We didn't order any food but we ordered cocktails upstairs in the parlor. They really know how to make a cocktail up there and are very accommodating. The ambiance is first class and I feel out of place to watch early morning soccer there but the staff is very friendly and the chairs are most comfortable. Before reading the full review, just do yourself a favor and go here. What a unique Chicago gem! I took the Metra over to North/Clybourn because I had to go to Barnes and Noble (yes, I'm old school and still like to shop for books) (and yes, I like physical books). Well, I enjoy dinners alone from time to time, so I pulled out Yelp and started searching. Pequods... delicious, but been to many times... Kibbitznest... awesome spot, but I'm hungry, not just thirsty for beer... what's this? Albion Manor? What the heck, let's try it out. I wander over and walk into this absolutely charming British tavern. I studied abroad in London for 6 months and I was completely convinced I was back in the old country. I let the friendly and attentive bartender know I'm looking for a seat to grab some food and he says "Pick any place you'd like, or you can head upstairs." Upstairs? Where on earth are the st.... oh, right next to the front entrance. The very same stairs I blindly walked past. Anyway, I elect to head upstairs because, from the bottom, I could see some bright colored wallpaper and could hear some fun sounding music. Upstairs is like walking into a completely different place. The upstairs is more of a restaurant lounge. Think couches, little cafe tables, trendy bar seating, fun wallpaper and bright paint colors, subtle vibey music. So, I grab a seat and, within seconds, another friendly face brings me a glass and a carafe of water and tells me they will be back in a few minutes. Love attentive service. The menu is not what I was expecting at all... in the best way possible. Think American-British-Indian cuisine. Don't know what I mean? Guess you gotta check out Albion Manor (wink wink). Anyway, I ordered these incredibly good chicken sliders with a side of curry fries. If you've never had curry fries... omg... I was transported back to London with each spicy, starchy bite, and I practically inhaled them. Honestly, the food was amazing. I took a picture, that I have since realized was actually just an Instagram story, so I don't have it to post with this review, however, I can promise that the picture got lots of "oh! where is this?!" and "looks amazing!" and the like. At last! Some decent British pub fare in Lincoln Park. This place is everything you want it to be. A very charming public house with great brews and Euro pub ambiance. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars because it completely deserves it! We went there specifically to watch Liverpool play and were happily surprised to see that The Albion was participating in Chicago Restaurant week. We tried 8 different items ranging from appetizers to dessert and each and every one was absolutely amazing! Honestly this was the best food we've experienced in years. Everything was fresh, well balanced and beautifully prepared. The oysters and beignets were my personal favorites but truthfully every item was delicious. Service was fantastic and the ambiance was wonderful. To top it off Liverpool won!! We can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu. read more

Empty on a Saturday afternoon, there was only one other couple at the bar when cornerstone next door is completely packed. Decided to go in anyway. Ordered two Bloody Mary's (I had both of the olives), an order of oysters from the brunch menu, and an awesome looking chicken waffle. As soon as I walk out of the restaurant I threw up for 10 mins outside of Barnes and noble. This was my first meal of the day. Threw up more in the car, and proceed to have diarrhea for the rest of the day and napped and trying my best to hydrate. Now I'm here recounting a bad case of food poisoning. Lessons learned, don't walk into a restaurant that's empty at peak hours. Hope y'all know to avoid this place as well. read more

While waiting for a reservation at a local pizza joint, my friends and I dropped by The Albion Manor for a quick drink and was not disappointed. The bartender made us each a drink right before last call and they were all phenomenal. I believe his name was Alex. You could tell he knew his way around a bar and really put time and effort into each drink he made. I ordered an espresso martini with no Bailey's (because Bailey's is gross) and it was the best espresso martini I've ever had. My friend had a lemon drop and that was perfectly tart with a sweet twist. The bar was clean and the environment seems very chill and laidback. I went to Albion Manor on a Friday with three friends. We actually were upstairs in The Parlour. We loved the place immediately. It's like a very trendy and cozy living room--and I say that in the best way. Although we felt cozy in the space, we did not feel crowded at all, which is a plus in terms of not feeling like other people were breathing on us. Our bar tender/server, Max, was incredible. He listened to what type of cocktail we wanted and made perfect recommendations. I got a burger and enjoyed it, but one of my friends got the fish and chips and we all wished we had gotten it, too. I am not a fish eater because of allergies and general pickiness, but I honestly have thought about the fish and chips multiple times since I was there and will definitely get it the next time I'm there. We did not spend time in the downstairs pub, but it looked like a very fun place to watch a football (soccer) game. Logistics: -There isn't a ton of parking in the area. We found a spot on the street to the side of the restaurant. We got there pretty early on a Friday, so I'm not sure what parking would be like on a Saturday evening. -It's across the street from the Webster Place movie theater, so it's perfect for before or after movie dinner and drinks. -I probably would not go up to The Parlour with a big group, but the downstairs pub has some bigger tables and seating areas. It's maybe also not a great spot for bringing kids. -Prices are definitely not cheap, but the quality of food and drinks are definitely worthy. read more

My boyfriend and I love this place - everything we've ordered has been awesome. I think we've been here 3 or 4 times now, the chicken sliders are so darn good and the short rib sandwich is bomb! Bravo to the chef, seriously everything we've shared is delicious and we will continue to come back because I need my sliders! My friend and I wanted to go someplace we've never been and I noticed that Chicago magazine listed The Albion Manor on its hot 10 list. So, we tried it out and had a wonderful time! First, we went upstairs to The Parlor and sat at the bar drinking lovely cocktails and eating amazing food (the curry fries are non-negotiable -- get them!). The bartender, Shaquille, was so friendly and the atmosphere was so cozy. It was the perfect setting. We heard live music wafting up from downstairs, so we made our way to the first floor to catch the end of the set. The singer (cannot remember his name) was so good!
