Incredible. Easy to get to and even easier to order on line. I ordered lunch to go and it was ready in no time maybe 15 minutes. The food was ready to go when I picked it up and the server was nice and called me by my name. Atmosphere cute and spacious. I order the Buffalo garlic wings amazing. And the Jerry Garcia fantastic sandwich. There will definitely be a next time

Perfect hidden gem with outstanding pub food and a great selection of brews and cocktails. The fries are to die for. Hands down one of the best spots in Pittsburgh for an artichoke dip and a buffalo chicken wrap.

Stopped here on the way home from Pittsburgh and had a nice lunch. It is a counter that you order food at and they bring it out, plenty of seating, pool table dart boards and nice outdoor patio for good weather days. Nice staff and casual vibe. Cheese steak was more lettuce and bread than meat. Tasted ok. The Garcia chicken w hippo sauce was a little spicy, and very good. Looks like a great place to watch a game or grab drinks and play some pool. Definately want to stop back in the summer and enjoy the patio.

Came in for lunch. It was a little confusing, for a first timer, to figure out that you had to place your order at the back counter and then take a seat. I followed the "seat yourself" and sat for 10 mins, thinking someone was coming over to take my order. Regardless, I had the cranberry poppins salad with grilled chicken and it was phenomenal. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the tomatoes and carrots were fresh, and there was a good amount of feta cheese. The employees were all friendly and all of the tables looked clean. The bathroom had multiple stalls and was clean. There was a decent crowd on hand for lunch, but they cleared out quick. Would recommend!

First time there for a workday quick lunch! I ordered the Reuben sandwiches, it was delicious and fulfilling - freshly made and warm, the 1000 island sauce with cheese and sauerkraut, super flavorful. Highly recommend! My coworker ordered the Chicken Pesto Panini and it looked amazing. Definitely going back :)

Our waiter came immediately and let us know the drinks on draft were $2 off for Happy Hour. I ordered the Purple Haze, a raspberry lager, and really enjoyed it's smooth fruity flavor. As a meal, I ordered the fish sandwich with chips, since upgrading to fries was an extra $3. The sandwich came out within 10mins, freshly hot and fried crispy. They split the big fish in half and stacked it on a bun, so it's very filling. On the side they give you a small portion of tarter sauce, which wasn't nearly enough for how much fish was on the sandwich. It was in need for a bit more flavor, so we requested hot sauce. Tabasco was free (other sauces were 50 cents) but unfortunately the bottle stated it expired in June of 2023. It didn't have any spice left and was a brownish color, so I didn't want to put it on my fish. The chips on the side were good, seasoned with salt and pepper. Overall the fish sandwich was good and a large portion, it just needed more sauce or maybe seasoning on the batter to give it more flavoring. For $15, I would recommend supporting a Firehall or Church fish fry that provides more sides with their menu items for the same quality.

Once you get past that, a lot of the criticisms fall away. No you can't order a pizza your way. No you can't call in an order for pickup, they don't take orders over the phone. No they don't deliver. Yes, there is a high likelihood you won't be able to sit a party of 3+ here just by walking in at any time you are likely to want to eat out. Yes the food prices are unreasonably expensive because it's not a pizza place. The inside is a large improvement from Bados. They've don'e wonderful things to the atmosphere and I enjoy that a great deal. The food is a really mixed bag. When I was able to wait long enough to get a table, the food we ordered vodka pasta, special olives, beans & greens, (non pizza) was amazing. The Mushroom pi I had there was adaquate, and my wife liked it. When I ordered pizza for takeout it was dried out and burnt, and like many other reviews, this overwhelmed what was good about it. The table services was excellent, the greeter was very helpful. The bar service was adaquate. The take out service was uncomfortable, you pay upfront and it follows the trend of having to tip in front of the staff before the order is accepted. As for being Brooklyn pizza, they do have a couple of restaurants in NYC. My family who lives in Brooklyn isn't familiar with them, but it's a big city. You get a robot recording that tells you that you have to (fingers crossed) find a parking space and come in. I decided just to get slices because I had already wasted enough time and wasn't going to stand there while they cook my pizza. Another annoying thing is how minimal their menu copy is. Any descriptions would be helpful to make a decision and also inform for dietary restrictions. So much copy about Frank & Frank, nothing about the food. No I don't know what's on a "Calzoagie Pie". I didn't order a pie to go but I imagine if I asked for a modification or other toppings I would get a stern no. Fun fact, there's another pizza shop LITERALLY next door if you need anything else.

I'd rather drive out of state than have to cross a bridge and tunnel to get somewhere so I only stopped twice when at a nearby meeting. Decades back, my best friend lived right up the street. This was practically an extension of their own house. They were there often. Often is an understatement. I'd get off from work and knew where I could find friends. Here. I'd often stop and pick up something on my way home to the South Side Slopes. I recognize that its been a long, long time since I lived in the Southern Side of the city. I haven't been here regularly in years. I still enjoy stoping by. The last few times, the service was - I hate to say this- not good. I really do hate to say that. The reason people loved this place was because Louie, Toni, & their staff were friendly and made it an experience. Long gone are staff that made anyone in Pgh feel welcome. The last 2 stops in, I felt like an inconvenience. My orders weren't correct each time. One was a to go order. I specifically asked for things to be done a certain way because I was ordering for my husband & kids. I chalked it up to the time of day & blamed myself. I did not look it over since I was trying to beat traffic... this is a classic place. It has to be me. Not them. I had an hour break and decided to stop in. Again, staff ignored me when I ordered. It took up that entire time to get served. It was awkward. My meal was lackluster, at best. My mind wants to believe in this place and that their stuffed bananas, zucchini and chicken sandwiches will never change- but I think they have. At this point, I don't see myself going anytime soon intentionally. If a friend were to ask us to join them, I would.

It's not your typical version either--no standard Thousand Island overload. The corned beef was perfectly peppered and packed with flavor, and even the bread stood out. Fish tacos? Absolutely a yes. Fresh, flavorful, and just done right. We split sides--tater tots for one dish and the homemade chips for the other. Always go for the homemade chips here. WOW! We arrived around 4:30pm, we had to park on the street, but there were several spots available. The restaurant is small with a casual interior. We were greeted and seated immediately. The food was good with hearty portions, but our waitress rushed us the entire time. We said we needed a few minutes, because this was our first time here, so she stood there and just... waited. She didn't offer to make any suggestions or ask whether we had any questions, she was just standing inches from the table looking at us. Finally I had to say, "oh, you don't have to wait right here, it'll be at least 5 minutes." Then she left. We ordered an appetizer, two entrees, two non-alcoholic drinks, and two desserts. She never asked whether we wanted dessert, and reached to present the bill while asking if we needed any takeout boxes. I had to interject and ask if we could see a menu for dessert options. The check was placed on our table before dessert arrived, which has never happened to us before at any restaurant we've ever been to. Then, when the desserts were brought to the table, she grabbed the bill presenter and said, "are we good?" I replied, "no, I'll pay when we're done eating." It was odd because we went very early and there were only a few other tables occupied so, I had no idea why we were being rushed the entire time. They also brought my daughter's entree with the wrong side, but they fixed it right away with no fuss. I left a generous tip and didn't report our experience. She was never outright rude to us, but rushing guests at every interaction is uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcome. Overall, this place is good, but if I ever go back, I would insist on a different waitress.
