I came here for dinner on a Friday night around 5:30 and was surprised there were so many people. With a group of 5, we were told that the wait would be 15-25 minutes. After waiting for 25 mins in their other room, we walked back up to the front and were seated immediately. After ordering we waited a really long time until our food came out (30-45 mins). I got a large salad and veggie calzone. The salad was pretty standard although it came dressed already. The calzone was also pretty standard. After eating, we waited for a long time again before the waiter came back with the check. Zero stars. Stopped by on Sunday evening around 6:00p. According to their hours on Apple Maps and on their website they are open until 9:00p on Sun. Google maps, and Yelp, say 7:00p. I don't remember what their door said but I think it was 7:00p. Looks like they haven't been open today or they closed early. Their phone number is out of service, so, given all the negative reviews recently, I had guessed they had gone out of business. But someone at another restaurant said they were still open and should be open today, so ??? Maybe they should close until they fix some basic things such as correct hours and a working phone. read more

An excellent local pizza spot!! Staff is extremely friendly and engaging. Happen to walk in while they were having live music, and it added to quaintness of the atmosphere. They had something super cool that haven't seen at other places. Because the restaurant was originally a depot for the rail road they have a miniature train track running up above you as you dine!! I ordered their wings in their house hot and they were juice and delicious. For main course ordered a 12" pizza with their in house made pizza crust and it was absolutely excellent!! We entered this place said wait here to be seated so we waited for 5 minutes no one came...so we walked up to the bar and asked if someone was going to seat us, the bartender said we don't have any seats and then asked how many in your party... I said four plus a toddler, she said so five, I said yes four plus him makes five... the bartender rolled her eyes at me and I said come on man I've been driving all the way up here and her response was I've been working six 12 hour days... I said yeah I work long days too and she then said you can leave now We walked out and my wife went back in and asked to speak to a manager while she waited for the manager the classless bar tender pulled her mask down and said to my wife "are you effen kidding me bit** your husband was being g rude to me The manager walked over and told my wife this is Georgetown and we're busy my wife told him what his bartender said to her and he didn't even address it basically defending her behavior Walked down the street to coopers and was treated like a consumer should be treated The bartender and her 6 12 hour days was one of the rudest people I've encountered Place was filled with regulars so I'm sure she's a great person in the locals eyes read more

Wednesday night in Georgetown can be a lonely night so we found our selves at the Alpine ordering Pizza. I only start this way because living in Chicago we only eat Pizza as a take out item and it is a sample of our Cook County diet. I am happy to share that there is some very good pizza out west. We ordered the Italiano which had a wonderful crispy crust holding up a great mix toppings including roasted garlic which was the topping of the night. We started with a wonderful Popeye Salad made from you guessed it, spanich smoothered, cranberries, candied pecans, fete cheese, bacon and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It was very tasty. The wait staff was very welcoming and the salad came out cold and pizza was deliciously hot. Two words of warning. At least on this night they closed by 7:00 PM. So get there early. The big alert is your plastic carries a 3.9% surcharge a little fact we missed on the menu. It sounded like we weren't the first to be surprised. Without this surcharge I would have shared 5 Stars. Regardless the food is great with a great staff also so stop in for a little slice of Italy. read more

What a hidden gem! I will be honest, I had some pretty low expectations for a restaurant in such a small mountain town. I figured the food would be the pre Frozen and really cheap. I was wrong. They make a lot of their menu items from scratch, which shows in the quality and the taste. If you do alcohol, you MUST order their version of hot chocolate. It was a velvety mix of chocolate, booze, and coconut. Even those in our group who don't like coconut went coo-coo for this drink. On a cold mountain evening, it's the perfect nighcap. Their battered fries are delicious and crisp. The calzones are made-to-order and you can design your own. My friend said hers tastes almost like a lasagna filling, and she loved it. My wrap was very good as well. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Everything was delicious. Atmosphere: There was live music while we were there, which was a great backdrop without being too loud (which can sometimes be an issue with live music). They have a four person PacMan game, pool, foosball, and air hockey. You can easily spend a few hours hanging out, drinking and eating. Best part? It's literally in the parking lot of the hotel we stayed at! If you are staying in this area, make a stop here! read more

Long story short, I used to love this place and it is a shell of it's former self. I think it got sold during covid season and hasn't been the same since. I made another visit and ordered an old favorite "specialty" pizza with added toppings. I got a pizza with only the added toppings and was told the kitchen made an honest mistake. I would love to see this place make it back to it's former glory so I will advise them here. One, if you make a mistake, own up to it and comp the customer in some form or fashion to make up for it. Don't try to charge the customer for a much more expensive pizza than they actually ordered. Two, be generous enough with toppings that the pizza does not come out with only a literal 3 to 4 pieces of each topping on a large pizza. Don't be so cheap with those toppings. Three, don't have a manager come out and lie to your face about what you ordered and how there is a rule against it, especially after the waitress approved it and then see number one, don't charge more than the pizza is worth that you brought out. I suspect this manager is the wife of the owner but who knows. She was very unpolite and unapologetic for their mistake. Four, if you are going to have rules about what you can order, make sure that the waitress or waiter knows these hard rules you won't bend on. Last thing I will say is at least the owner took the charge off our bill for the pizza and I did offer to pay for the original pizza I ordered minus the extra toppings because they charge a huge extra fee for extra toppings and that is another thing you should fix. The extra toppings or build your own pizza should not add huge extra amounts to the final price. Whoever you are that now owns this place, you will go out of business if you don't fix those things. It appears you are already getting a bad reputation and the rating on here is from former glory not current. Good luck and I hope you take these suggestions because Georgetown doesn't have much else to offer. read more

Fresh? The only thing fresh about this place was the air walking outside! Don't expect anymore than refrigerated bar food with the exception of the pizza which was pretty tasty. It was once delicious and so big I'd take half home. Not today. The bread was stale, chips were stale. Sad fall of a once great pizza place. We came in for an early dinner when it was near empty and were told they need 20 minutes to seat 6 (4 adults & 2 children). We offered to figure out our own seating walking in and gesturing to mostly empty tables. The woman who already looked haggard and unsmiling before we ever spoke to her (customer service isn't her calling) snapped, "Fine, seat yourself wherever." She stomped off. My husband asked another waitress to speak to the owner or manager. A cook emerged from the kitchen and matter of factly stated they have 9 pizzas ahead and the wait would be an hour. 2 years ago we were regulars and even held our child's bday party at Georgetown playground and the pizza portion here. It used to accommodate great pizza and service being full. We've noticed a decline and barely attempt to come here anymore - we did today assuming we'd catch it at 4:45 pm before it got busy (it wasn't busy) but the host was already surly rather than greeting the two top in front of us or the 6 top business we were about to bring this business. Fortunately we don't live in Georgetown, this is our pit stop en route between Genesee and the mountains so I need never go back as there's an abundance of pizza places that know how to run a business. I just liked giving my business to this once-charming locale spot. If The Alpine becomes defunct under its current trend, maybe new ownership can restore it. read more

After a chilly and action packed holiday weekend with the grand kiddos, it was nice to try out this new spot with just my husband on the way home from Keystone. The building was interesting in that at least a portion of it was the original train station in Georgetown in the 1800's. The current owners have created a nice, friendly, family oriented (at least during the day, ;) place. I had the 4 cheese lasagna, served with a really nice cool crunchy salad, and garlic bread and it was delicious! My husband had a chicken Parmesan sub sandwich which he enjoyed a great deal. He had a beer because they had PBR on tap, and who can resist that? I had a nice glass of an Italian red wine. The bartender was a very sweet young woman who was working really hard and doing great at keeping several tables and the folks at the bar happy. We'll be back! read more

Went here during the annual Georgetown Christmas Fest. The waitress was very nice. The food was just ok, but the buffalo chicken wrap was very spicy. 4% surcharge to use a credit card. Biggest complaint was the drinks. We order a house special manhattan. Do not order a drink here. $11 for a glass of ice with fruit muddled in the bottom. There was nowhere near a shot of whiskey or anything else for that matter. It was literally about two sips with a straw. Alpine - Manhattan's/ martinis call for at least 1 1/2 shots of booze before adding other ingredients. We complained to the waitress and she said too bad - that's how the owner makes them. No offer to change them out or take them back. A waste of money. Won't go back. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. My husband and I ended up here quite by accident, and it was delicious. We were greeted by a mother changing her baby's diaper on the booth. So I can only naturally assume that there was no changing table in the bathroom? Perhaps someone can sort that out. We got side salads and the Italiano pizza. Everything was so effing delicious. We were also effing starving. The crunch of the crust, which is apparently one of their specialties, was indeed a highlight. We loved that there was a dog friendly patio, which we'd asked to sit at but the hostess was elsewhere mentally and we didn't feel like arguing. Here we are in Beautiful Georgetown Colorado and we're sitting down to dinner at The Alpine Restaurant. We were told upon entering that there was a limited menu. I will say it was limited but, they had Pizza so life didn't suck after all. We ordered a pepperoni, mushroom, sausage pizza with basil as well as the Crispy Green Beans as an appetizer. As we waited for our meal I was reading some of the yelp reviews and I was disheartened by many and expecting the absolute worst. Shortly out came our pizza and crispy green beans, I will just say it was absolutely awesome very delicious and the beans I can't stop eating therefore my screen is full of ranch dressing. Our waitress Kimberly did an outstanding job making us feel right at home and was attentive to our needs. With things the way they are the last year and a half every restaurants trying to do what they can with this one I would recommend you come and have a slice and definitely the crispy green beans! read more

Today, my parents and I traveled to Georgetown and spent the whole day there! When it was time for lunch, The Alpine Restaurant was recommended to us by several locals. We arrived, were immediately greeted and seated. It took no time for our server to approach us and introduce herself. She was very patient with us - I assume she's accustomed to tourists. We tried the jalapeño poppers - yum - and we ordered a 16" pizza. The menu informs guests that the crust is crispy and most ingredients are made from scratch. We decided to build our own pizza - there was no shortage of vegetable or protein topping selections. It was like heaven for any pizza fanatic who may wander in. I don't eat pizza often, and when I do, I'm usually not extremely impressed, since when I was young I worked at a small pizza place that made everything from the pizza dough to the salad bar from scratch. This place impressed me. The decor was charming and I wish I could remember our server's name (Christina? Catherine?) because I would definitely recommend her. I drink tons of water and she never let any of our glasses run empty! I can't wait to go back. read more

What I just got experienced at this place was horrible. I can't believe it. It started out with it's a positive experience . The 2 kids at the front desk and the waitress were so nice. We ordered a pizza and we were told you the waitress what pizza to pick and that because we were splitting it we could each make a substitution. We asked her if she was sure and she assured us all was well. She brought out the bill and we were pleased. I gave her my card and all was fine until 5 minutes later the bartender who I am assuming was the owner came up to me yelling and saying i had to pay more. We explained to him what the waitress said and he acknowledged she was wrong and we told him we would never have purchased that had she not told us. He said he didn't care snd started slamming his hands on our table in front of my 13 year old cousin. She was terrified because it was her birthday meal. He charged my card this new amount. He came back to our table and threw my card and the board it was on down. My friend said "did we do something wrong, we don't understand why you are being so aggressive and yelling at us". He slammed his hands on the table and said BECAUSE IM BUSY! I have never been treated like this in my life and we all left the restaurant in tears. Especially my 13 year old cousin! This is unacceptable treatment and we are still trying to figure out how a bartender was watching every move we made all the way down to double checking out ticket! We did nothing.
