There's so many vegan meal options that it was actually hard to pick. Excellent bartender we love him, but the food is overpriced for mediocre quality. Good place to come for happy hour drinks. EDIT: I had the classic burger and the Texas cheese steak. The burger had no sear. It was overcooked, chewy, and bland almost like it was steamed. The "pretzel bun" looked like it was smashed. It was not crisp like one would expect from a $12 pretzel bun burger. The Texas cheese steak had almost no meat and the meat tasted like it was pre-cooked/pre-packaged, was very very soggy and the bread looked very pale like it wasn't toasted. For $12 each the sandwiches could've had a lot more TLC. Like properly cooking the patty, better quality buns. Lowering prices to match the quality. I had an incredible burger at black bear diner for the same price, so please consider a quality check even towards the end of the night. read more

We had a great waiter- cannot remember his name, but he was friendly and patient and super helpful. My mom is 80 and has congestive heart failure. She has to be very careful about how much salt she consumes. She asked him if he could ask the chef to go easy on the salt. The chef made a special batch of breading for her chicken friend chicken with no salt. Her meal was special prepared for her to accommodate her health condition. This alone means we will be coming here regularly. The service was great, the food was very good and the atmosphere- patio on a beautiful Texas fall day- was perfect. I went here a few weeks ago. Overall a very good experience. As someone who's been vegan for a little over a year, The Annex Crafthouse had the best plant wings you could ask for. The sauce (I believe it was the buffalo) was excellent, and they tasted like chicken quite a bit. Pretty good price as well for them. I got the chicken fried seitan as my main and that was also solid, but the wings took the cake. Our server (I forget his name but he wore a hat and shorts) was pleasant and helpful, and the restaurant was nice and spacious. We really liked this place a lot! We visited The Annex Crafthouse this past week in Vintage Park to try out their happy hour. Drinks are $2 off and they have a great selection of $5 apps. Our group tried the fried pickles, brisket quesadilla, fried jalapenos and the cauliflower wings, which were all great. I was also excited to try their vegetarian version of chicken fried steak. What a cool menu item I don't think I have been able to eat gravy in 7 years, so it was a treat. Highly recommend the happy hour. They also have different specials each day of the week! The cauliflower wings are excellent and you get a choice of 6 different flavors. You can also do a half and half if you want more than one sauce. The agave sriracha is our favorite sauce so far. I felt very loved by this place. We were there this last weekend with a group of childhood friends. We were meeting unfortunately because a friend died. They closed at midnight and we didn't know. We stayed until 1am. They never said anything to us even though they had every right to. Then at the end of the night they all said we should cheers a shot to your friend who died. Then the bartender went on to say she would leave a shot out all day the next day for our friend who was no longer here. I couldn't believe that. It was so kind and thoughtful. We will likely give this new spot another chance in a few months when they settle in. Service was attentive. Beer list had about 20 Texas beers on tap and another dozen in cans. Hope they will keep that beer selection rotating. Food was good, but not great. Ordered the philly sandwich. Meat was good, but the baguette was sub par, very soft so it fell apart quickly. Ordered the brisket street tacos. Was disappointed that wouldn't mix and match on the tacos, but oh well. The brisket was oddly cut into tiny squares but had a nice Smokey flavor. Topped with onions and cilantro and a good salsa served on the side. Trouble is there should have been 2 tacos based on the amount of filling. The corn tortillas were thicker than I like. Not rally tender and you wouldn't want to eat two with your taco. Attractive restaurant, but quite noisy inside. They do have a number of vegan options. read more

Cauliflower bites were overly breaded and quite salty; nibbled on them but threw away majority of order.
