A friend from Buffalo had an apartment close by and cited it as his favorite place to hang out every weekend, so he took me for lunch the first time I went, which was a couple years ago. We each had the chicken fingers, which are the best I've ever had. I have since been back on both trips to Buffalo I've been on since June 2013. If this review was just based on the taste of the food, I'd give it 5 stars. Seriously the best chicken fingers I've ever had. I would never go to this place for healthy food, but it's amazing for what it is. And the prices are really good as well. Unfortunately, I've had to wait a very long time both times I've been there recently, and it wasn't because the place was busy or they were understaffed. I could see the grill from our table and watched as the server talked to the regulars and the other server/bartender at the bar before putting in our order and then the guy running the grill talked to people for a while before even starting to cook the chicken. The beer selection is also so disappointing that I ended up just drinking water. If you like Bud or Molson, you've got it made, but if you want anything else, you're in trouble. Also, on our most recent trip, they were only playing a certain game on one of the many TVs in the place ,so a guy sitting at the bar kept coming over and standing uncomfortably close and looked right over my head, muttering or cheering. I asked the server if they could put the game on another TV closer to the guy and she just laughed. The Audubon North was a favorite of mine in college. They had great food and prices. I have been back twice within the last year after not going for quite some time. Both times we have waited a very long time for the food to arrive. Last night we waited an hour and a half for chicken fingers and wings. We were about to leave and then our food had come out. The food definitely used to be better. We ordered the fingers BBQed and grilled which they weren't...it was a disappointment. My family and I recently had lunch here & I can honestly tell you, if you're the type of patron that requires a pretentious, ambience to enhance your meal this place ain't for you. Its a small little place that's just trying to get by & serve excellent food while doing it. Everyone that had the wings and beef on wreck raved about it. Our server was pleasant, and quick to take our orders and check back on us. The only ding I have,is that the draft list was pretty short & only 1 local brew on the list. WNY has lots of other small guys that make amazing beer so I was sad to see that, but other than that this place was great. This is our go to spot for chicken wings when in Buffalo. The bar is filled with locals and a bit divey but the service and food are amazing. Hands down some of the best wings in BFLO. It seems like the tenders are good too but we've never mustered up the courage to order anything other than the with wings. Beer is cold and cheap too. Support local businesses! We went for dinner tonight and ordered 20 chicken wings and a large fry. There were TWO other tables in the dining room besides our own. At the hour and 15 minute mark we politely asked our waitress (who had yet to check on our table) about the status of our order to which she replied "well it usually takes about an hour for orders soo do you want me to go check?" She came back and told us that it just went in the fryer (an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered?) so it would be another 15 minutes... Needless to say we asked for our food to go. Seriously disappointing. It is also worth noting that we did not enjoy the food at all. The wings were very rubbery. Worst service I've ever had in my life. Took an hour and half to make 20 wings and a large fry. The waitress said it's normal on a Friday night. Meanwhile there's no one at the place. Great dive bar!! I was visiting Buffalo from NYC and a few people kept mentioning how this place is better than the overrated anchorbar. So I went with a few friends and was very very happy I did. Yes, the outside looks a little shaddy but the inside is a pleasant surprise. The staff is very nice, they never play their music loud so you can hold a conversation without yelling, and the wings are big and tasty. The only glitch was that the staff forgot our fries order but after we reminded them, they brought it to us immediately and apologized for the mix up. Overall a great gem!! read more

Lets start off by saying the food here is Great and never had a bad meal. Now here is the downside. Last night checked the on-line menu and was in the mood for some wings and fries. Prices where more than reasonable and placed an order for pick-up. When I cashed out found the wing prices where more than the menu stated menu was 14.95 and charged 15.50. I know no big deal .55 more but its not about the money. In mine line of work if a quote or post a price that's what it is. was also charged a 1.00 each for two containers to take my wings home in ?? Container fee what's this all about never seen it before. Again not much about the 2.00 as it is a way to be bumped on price. This the second time that I have not felt real good walking away from this bar. A few months ago I was charged twice on my card for the same meal. They made wright buy it and refunded the second charge. Just a little disappointed with it all and since I am local and truly do love their wings and bar food is great as well. This is a small divey bar close to a residential neighborhood in Amherst. I used to live around the corner and my friends Mom works here so we'd visit often for the awesome wings and cheap drinks. Monday nights (I think) are wing nights and they're So. Good. They make them really spicy too- if that's your thing. The beer is cheap here and all the other food always sounds so good. My favorite is the $1 pints of rolling rock! They also have an old fashioned juke box for some added fun. read more

Very underrated place in buffalo. We used to come here for Monday night football and get the wings/fingers special with a picture of beer for roughly $20. Never had to wait for a table and the food was consistent. We loved the garlic parm fingers and got our other friends hooked on them as well. Fresh fries are always good as well.
