The ambiance is bright and the staff are kind and welcoming. Arrive early to avoid crowds. We got there at 11am on Sunday and were waitlisted/ seated after 30 mins wait. Flat white was sheer perfection. Gnocchi is tasty but has a LOT of butter. My sister had such a large puddle of butter that she ended up putting something under her bowl to tilt it away from her before the butter Re-solidified. The beef mince is very tasty! Such a cute place! This was my first time coming here. I have had this place on my list for the longest time, and I finally made it! So did not disappoint! Even tho they were super busy, they helped me right away! I got to sit at the back and just watch all the comings and goings. It was always laid back and every customer helped promptly. My waiter was just great!!! Promptly helped me. Somehow knew just when to come and get my order for food. He somehow knew just when I needed anything. I sat and ate, enjoying my food and time. When I was ready to go, he came without me asking! The food is good and light. I thought it would be a usual breakfast place, but so many unique options! I got eggs benny and it came with a nice side of lettuce with carrot matchsticks and pickled radish? I was able to add bacon on the side, I had the option of having that on the side or on my benny. Everything was so delicious! I would have liked less hollandaise sauce but that's me. I wonder if I can ask that next time? But then I want to try a different dish next time. My one bit of advice would be to get the big breaky. Didn't love the service, temperature of the food, interior temperature of the dining area, and information discrepancy from the workers. Did love the concept of the restaurant, new menu items I had never seen, and the big breaky. The one dish I really enjoyed was the Big Breaky. It reminded me of an English breakfast with a ton of little items on one plate. The unfortunate thing was that it came out luke warm and my poached eggs were not very soft. They do have excellent coffee. Not acidic .. very nutty and smooth. So here is the verdict for the food we had. The big breaky was yummy and fun but the temperature was unpleasant and the eggs were overcooked for being poached. Their gnocchi was just ok - very chewy and a little too dense. The Angie's savoury mince was basically pasta sauce served on bread with an egg. The breaky pizza was very bready. The banana bread was dry - both the chocolate chip and walnut. The chicken parmy tasted ok but nothing to write home about - ham was a bit dry. Pav Smash was interesting, fun, but definitely something you should share. One very important thing is .... coffee was excellent. Parking is limited. They do NOT take call aheads (although I was told they do). If you go during peak times then there WILL be a wait. Came here with friends for a late lunch. The location is easy to get to but parking was a bit difficult. We had a short wait. Our drinks and food came out in a timely fashion and was amazing. Normally I have to add salt and/or pepper to my food. But this required nothing additional. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The location was clean. Really cute brunch spot. It reminds me of a place I used to love that unfortunately closed down. We came on a weekday and it was pretty crowded, but service was still good. We ordered the Breaky Gnocchi and Eggs Benny. The gnocchi was a really unique dish, light, and easy to eat. Husband ordered the Eggs Benny and the hollandaise sauce was really rich and tasty. What a great quaint neighborhood gem of a place! Finally had a chance to dine here and I'm so happy I did! Enjoyed a Sunday Brunch here, come early because it get busy REALLY quick on a Sunday. Dishes are comfort with an Aussie twist. I had the Chicken Parmy; a chicken parmesan that has been topped with smoked ham. I had multiple friends tell me I should come here. Im glad I listen to them! This location is really far away from my home. I was running errands in this area and decided this would be the best time to actually try it out. On a Saturday at 11Am, it's the typical diner rush. We were told it would take 30 minutes to be seated, but luckily it was actually 4 minutes. The Salmon Bagel is not open faced but served as a sandwich. After a few bites, I was quite satisfied with what I received! The bagels were soft but had some chew. This won't be anything a New Yorker would approve of, but it's good for Texas. Every ingredient was fresh and high quality. There was a beet cream cheese that gave this earthy freshness along with a tangy creamy flavor that really elevated this sandwich. I'm shocked that the Breaky Gnocci isn't on more brunch menus. It's a beautiful marriage of breakfast items in a pasta dish. Its got the feel of a messy dish of breakfast staples, but not scrambled together like a breakfast skillet. Its basically a pasta dish dressed in bacon, runny eggs, and spinach. Simple enough, but the novelty intrigues me. It also helps that it actually tastes good. The Banana Bread with chocolate chips was moist yet not gooey. It was sturdy yet never crumbly or dry. This may be some of the best banana bread I've tried in Dallas. Or maybe in general! What I will say is it's American sweet, so it's you prefer a mild sweetness, this is not for you. Also, this is a huge slice of bread, so be prepared or suffer the sugar crash that will come after this. My Frose Drink was definitely fresh pureed strawberries and blueberries. The alcohol was not as spirit forward which I liked, but also snuck up on me. It's a good drink, but its not as magical as I was hoping. My partner had the Cold Brew coffee and she said it reminded her of the equality of coffee she had while in Costa Rica. Im not a coffee drinker, but I was told it was high quality stuff. read more

Then restaurant itself us cute with a modern farmhouse vibe and their logo is super cute. I love that they have a coffee shop in the front for people just grabbing coffee as well as restaurant seating. Service was great! It was pretty packed on a Wednesday but service was still quick and the employees were all really friendly. The menu items we had were all really good. I personally liked the eggs benny the best. Wow, terrible service, waiter never checked on how our food was, no refills on our beverages and my husband asked for salt and a gal arrived with a huge salt shaker too salt his food, so he asked her to leave the shaker she said she couldn't so she grinned the salt on too a plate and presented it to him! Stopping here again was a great idea! Maybe I'm just a sucker for service, but my favorite server was back, and she did a fantastic job serving us, just as it was the first time. Perhaps service is everything for me, but she kept us in a good mood, keeping the atmosphere light, and having conversational small talk with us, without anything being too awkward. The interior was bustling, very lively, clean, and aesthetic. Beautiful, and busy, it was a comfortable place to sit down and catch up with an old friend of mine. I ordered the granola/yogurt, and I found the presentation to be very interesting. I have never had yogurt on a plate before, but it was functional, it was pretty, and I did enjoy the food (though it is relatively pricy for what it's worth) but when you go out to eat, you do expect to spend. And then people eat it up like it's brilliant. Now I'm not saying that the Aussie Grind did exactly what I described above, but I'm not saying that they didn't... I mean, I went out of my way to try this place specifically because of the "Australian" food. But everything we had was sub-par. The Fish n' Chips in particular was awful; it was very little fish, and mostly batter. Australians wouldn't drown their fish in a bunch of batter and put those turd lookin' things on a plate. And the Chicken Sanga sounded delightful(ly simple) in concept, but what they put in front of us was burned (burnt for you Queen's English people) to oblivion. The coffee was fine, but even a McDonald's in Australia takes great pride in how well they make their coffee, so "fine" isn't all that great? The high ratings are surprising, because this felt like a weak/boring representation of Australian food/coffee. read more

Sometimes you find great food, put poor to mediocre service. Sometimes it's the opposite. At The Aussie Grind, we found great food, and the service from our waitress, Jordan, was over-the-top! We came in with my elderly in-laws, ages 88 and 83, both of them with their walkers. The table was immediately set to accommodate space for them. In addition, upon knowing /hearing that they spoke Spanish more fluently than English, Jordan immediately switched to Spanish when speaking to then. Her recommendations were excellent. Her smile was gracious. She was funny, never skipped a beat, and honestly went above and beyond in a number of ways as our waitress. Having a name like The Aussie Grind, I expected their coffee to be great, and my cappuccino (with 2 shots) was indeed delicious! As for the food, everyone LOVED what they ordered! One person ordered French toast, another 3 people in our party ordered omelettes, and my husband ordered a burger which he devoured and said was juicy and perfectly cooked! We were super excited to try this place cause we saw so many good reviews. There were empty tables when we arrived around 12:30 so we were seated right away. The table we were seated at had crumbs over the bench. We were given water and were told to scan the QR code for the menu. We waited quite a while before waiving someone down to come take our order. It is disappointing to see a highly reviewed establishment with so many workers that are just standing around. We understand long wait times when it's busy but you can see a worker on her phone and a group of workers chatting behind the register. We noticed two parties walk up to the register to pay because no one checked up on them. We also had to flag someone down to pay. We got our food. No one checked up on us throughout our meal. The food could use some hot sauce for another layer of flavor. The coffee isn't great but it's not bad.
