The quality of his work was really high. For this windshield, he picked up an OEM windshield from the dealership and installed it at my house. A few days later, I took it to the dealership to do the camera calibration service. This was much less expensive than having the dealership do the whole package, and the quality of the install was probably better. Plus, I liked being able to let the car sit in my driveway for 24 hours to let the adhesive cure instead of driving it back from a dealership right after install, which vibrates the adhesive and loosens it.

After searching a lot of the forums, it was clear that (a) car dealers usually vend out their windshield work anyway and (b) Golden State was one of those vendors. If you're reading this you already know Golden State has great reviews and have been around for several years. So I sent an inquiry to their info account and Mark the owner responded promptly. Over several emails, Mark gave me a quote, answered all my questions and scheduled an appointment at their facility, all very promptly. I dropped off the car (with my usual separation anxiety), the appointment went smoothly and the new glass looked great. But, the installer pointed out a "bubble" in the rear-view mirror seal and said it may or may not self-correct in a few days, and I should let them know if not. Bottom line, it didn't, I did, and Mark said he'd order a new seal and send Jesus to my house to do the fix. Jesus was quick and professional and now the mirror seal looks perfect. The whole experience was professional, no-hassle and confidence-inspiring (and "dealership quality"). I'd highly recommend Golden State Auto Glass.

He showed up late and did a terrible…read morejob -- there were bubbles all over the tints with lints, and one of the pieces was even put on backwards (sticky side out). He spent 3 hours working on my car and even forgot some tools. He also forgot two small windows and didn't finish the job. He told me he'd come back the next day to complete it, but then ghosted me and stopped answering my calls and messages. Before disappearing, he gave me excuses about having a flat tire. Seems like lying is a normal thing for him. I ended up going to Jet Black Tint in Fremont to fix Hector's mistakes, and they did an amazing job. They gave me a great quote and a fair price to fix everything. Big shout out to them for saving the day! Would not recommend Z Tints to anyone -- learn from my mistake and go to someone reputable like Jet Black Tint instead. Also this guy won't do refunds he will ignore you unless you threaten him with legal actions. Please please please don't waste your time and seriously just go to a different business.

My car's windshield needed replacing after it was cracked by a rock kicked up by a truck on the freeway. I wasn't looking forward to dealing with it because I figured it would be both costly and inconvenient. After being referred to Auto Glass Pros by a friend, I was in for a "pleasant" surprise! Since I was in a rush, I chose them over Safelite, thinking it would be a quicker option. I waited while they worked on my car, and an older man "who seemed to be the owner" handled the job. Once he was done, I immediately noticed several issues: the door panels were damaged, the paint was scratched, and the door panes weren't installed properly. When I pointed out the damage, he was dismissive, and after a frustrating argument, he finally admitted they were responsible. He promised to get a paint patching kit and call me, but that never happened. To make matters worse, he charged me for cleaning up the broken glass, yet I can still hear pieces rolling around inside my doors whenever I drive or open and close them.
