Ordered to go breakfast two days ago. Service was friendly, prices were reasonable and food was packaged nicely. I didn't get any special flavored Bacon, as this was my first trip to this local Diner. Just awesome food, coffee and service. I've had the spinach and feta omelet with tomatoes and onions added and I've had the blueberry pancakes. Both were phenomenal. The staff is amazing as they all work together to make sure you have plenty of coffee. Absolutely will go again. read more

This place has great food. Its one of my favorite breakfast menus. The applewood smoked bacon is amazing. The service is moderate pace to slow. I usually end up waiting for a little while especially if getting take out. The to-go silverware is very weak so do not plan to eat anywhere that you don't have regular silverware. All in all I would say this is a great place to go if you have some time to spend. read more

Been to the Bacon Barn 3 times now so I feel I could give a accurate review. Service is exceptional, you walk in the door, are greeted, sit wherever there is open seats and are sipping coffee all within 90 seconds. Wait staff are always friendly, your meal comes out quick, hot and fresh. Portions are big, food is very tasty. Only reason I don't give 4 or even 5 stars is because of 1 thing and 1 thing only..........THE BACON. Just plain, thin, regular diner bacon. For a name like Bacon Barn I expected BACON, the kind you hear about on those food channels we all watch, you know what I'm talkin bout, ha, yeah you do. We expected something akin to the "Food Channel" - however, bacon was almost tasteless and breakfast just ok. Even bought "bacon" car fresheners - barely any smell. The Bacon Barn because...BACON!!! Everything we've ever tried on the menu has been top notch, delicious and served with a smile! The atmosphere is a cozy, diner-ish, family run place that is down to earth. I love the decorations of the wall: posters and quotes about BACON and little Knick Knacks in the corner that I believe are Pig Salt and Pepper shakers and a Cookie jar for example. I stopped in for a late lunch and grabbed a chicken parm. sandwich, it was very good, big hearty roll, freshly fried chicken breast and some really good fries(fair style). I would defiantly stop in again. I grabbed mine to go when i drove past in the a.m. the parking lot was packed so keep that in mind. The dining room is a no frills breakfast place. read more

Saw this restaurant online and the name alone was intriguing! I read many positive reviews so was excited to give it a try. My husband and I ate breakfast while our children ate lunch. Our son truly enjoyed his burger and raved that it was delicious. Our daughter had a chicken basket with bottom of the fry bin fries. We made mention but they assured us that the fries are made that way. Very different looking fries than on my son's plate. With few tables in the restaurant, we waited a LONG time for our food. We were terribly disappointed. The food did not live up to the reviews. My biggest gripe was being charged for soda refills that our waitress conveniently failed to mention. We were also charged for an adult drink that was supposed to be included in our kids menu. When mentioned, we got an apology but no adjustment. Aside from the burger, we walked out sick to our stomachs after paying $52 for mediocre food. We will not be returning. read more

we were fans of the 28 Roadhouse and were sad to see it close so we were curious to see what the Bacon Barn was like...food was ok, service was prompt but nothing was outstanding foodwise. I had a ham, cheese and mushroom omelet that was a little watery and I was a little disappointed to find canned mushrooms, I felt the prices were a little higher then other local places like Avandi's and the Hungry Onion. Not a fan of playing .50 more for canned mushrooms or of being served on melamite school cafeteria plates. I asked what the country fries were like and was informed they were "deep fried cubed potatoes"..no other discription. I would like see them add something like loaded hash browns or something similiar..the hash browns were just shredded potatoes browned with no added flavor..we might give it a shot for lunch and see if maybe we are more impressed read more

I, along with a group of friends, have been going to the Bacon Barn for several years. We've enjoyed their point system along with Birthday 'free' meals. Today, six of us went and, after a 20-30 minute wait which is typical for a Sunday, we were seated. Asked for separate checks and told the didn't do them any more for parties of 6 or more. Birthday meals also had been discontinued. Only one person got the bonus point for the 6 of us and, while the food was decent, the service and reason for us going back isn't there any more. read more

I was looking forward to visiting The Bacon Barn until I actually got there. Sure is a nice place, especially the menu. I know the menu in and out, only because its almost exactly The Red Arrow 24 Hour Diner! The Red Arrow Diner just came out with a new menu in March of 2014, but the previous menu is the one that The Bacon Barn copied! From the design, layout, pricing, recipes, kid's menu, and even the wording! Read the Red Arrow Diner story and compare it to The Bacon Barn's story.......crazy how they would just copy even the words in the Red Arrow Diner story....Guess they wanted a Red Arrow 24 Hour Diner for themselves but didn't want to pay for the franchise. I'll be sure to let the owners and director of operations know about this theft! Just unbelievable! read more

Can't comment on the food; but lousy business practices. My brother raved about this place and said he wanted to go there for breakfast on his birthday. Me being in NC, I didn't have high hopes that they would have a website that I could buy gift cards; but alas, they did! I was excited that I could get him this, because he's hard to buy for. I ordered enough in advance of his Aug 3rd birthday, on 7/22. Since the shipping was $7.99 for 1-3 days (for gift cards), I opted to have them sent to me so I could put them in a birthday card. Crickets. I didn't receive my order, so I called. I got a call back 2 days later when I was out of town that they had issues and could send it now or refund me. I called back on 7/30, left the manager or whoever it was a voicemail stating please send it directly, and instead they simply refunded my money without returning that call or any of my subsequent messages. Now I'm out a gift, and rather glad I don't live near there. Very disappointing. If you can't honor someone's order; call or email them in the first place. read more

all breakfast restaurants are similar. this is average to slightly higher price . I ordered country fried chicken with eggs and toast and it had extremely little gravy on the chicken. when I asked for just a small side bowl of gravy because there wasn't enough on it , the waitress immediately told me it would cost me extra without even checking with the kitchen I was extremely dissatisfied and thought that this place has very poor customer service and poor portions. read more

We found this hidden TREASURE and love it! Our out-of-town company indicated that when they return to visit us, Bacon Barn is a MUST. We enjoyed the quaintness and the no frills but better! The staff was so service oriented and took time to explain the menu (like favorites), the rewards program, and the operating hours. My husband and I so enjoy finding places like this. We only live in Hudson, NH; therefore, when any of out out-of-town company visits, we take them to Bacon Barn for at least one breakfast. The menu holds a wonderful selection and made perfectly. We all experienced the platter of bacon samples..... WOW! Lastly, and one of the most important qualities was how clean everything was.... We have returned -- just the two of us -- and with our local friends, and our visiting company! BTW, we have the advantage of going on weekdays and have never experienced any of the lines that come with weekends. read more

Very disappointed. I was told the home fries were deep fried potatoes. I'm sure they were frozen, not fresh. The sausage and bacon tasted like they were pre-cooked then reheated in the microwave. The atmosphere and the service are below average. With all the breakfast places to choose from this would be my last choice. I've been going to the Bacon Barn for the last couple of months now. They've become my go to spot for breakfast. Aside from their DELICIOUS food, they also have excellent customer service. They're friendly, accommodating, and truly care about their customers. They can be busy or slow, they still treat each customer with attention and care.
