The Bagel Lady is well named. Her goal is to bring the authentic kosher deli experience to Rockwall and I have no doubt that her bagels will win you over. The bagels are dense and chewy so they hold up to whatever schmear you enjoy. One item of particular interest is the salt bagel, which is not yet well known in these parts but is curiously satisfying. The western omelet bagel was amazing!! The ladies gave us samples of various cream cheese flavors, a salsa and Israeli veggies. The gentleman from the tea room gave us samples of teas. They were very kind to my small children. We had a great first experience and will be back! read more

I am new to Texas & was looking for "real" bagels and the Bagel Lady was closest to me. I was so excited, but unfortunately was disappointed. The food looked nothing like they show on their website and the bagels were just "ok". They tasted "off"; too yeasty maybe. The final disappointment was that a dozen bagels was $21! I went in a group of 3 friends one morning and when we got there we only had one couple in line ahead of us and there was a father and son who were eating at a nearby table. For some reason it took a very long time to get our food. I got a bagel with lox, it was fine. Nothing about it particularly stood out as something I would crave again in the future. Also, the lady who took our order didn't seem thrilled to be there. I asked if it was possible to get a half dozen bagels but to have 1 of the 6 bagels toasted with cream cheese on it to eat while I was there. I assumed the cream cheese would just be a simple additional fee but I didn't think my request would be an issue. For some reason the lady taking my order couldn't grasp what I was trying to do. My friends tried to help explain it as well because we thought it was a simple enough request but eventually I just gave up and ordered a single bagel with lox. I was very surprised that this wasn't a commonly requested order. I do it all the time at Einsteins. I would be willing to give this place another try again in the future but I certainly won't be going out of my way to do so read more

I ordered the breakfast special, which consists of a bagel. cream cheese, and a 12 ounce coffee for five dollars advertised on the menu board. When I got to the register though, I was charged 5.50. I know $.50 is just a drop in the bucket, but I expect that when a price is advertised, that price is also charged, no matter if you're spending five dollars or $500. The bagel was really good. The cream cheese had a nice chive flavor, but it was rather watery. The coffee was short of average. I prefer a much stronger brew. There needs to be more of a choice of condiments with coffee at a breakfast centered establishment. The bagel was fresh, but overall it's not a place I will go back to. read more

They're good bagels but I can't say they're anything spectacular. They're just a good bagel. Had many good bagels in my day and I was hoping these would stand out. The cream cheese is very good as well, I enjoyed a couple different flavors. The cheesecake was not good. At all. We love to support local businesses, but after giving this place a second try, we were once again disappointed with hard, dough-y and undercooked bagels. Our first visit when they first opened was ok. The owner was there and greeted us with friendliness. Aside from a few undercooked bagels, we enjoyed the rest with the cream cheese spreads that we ordered. We didn't mind too much that we got a couple undercooked bagels because they were a new business and just needed some time to settle in and straighten out a few kinks. Unfortunately, we recently stopped in to get a dozen mixed bagels, the egg salad, and cream cheese and again, more hard undercooked bagels! The egg salad, cream cheese, and half of the bagels were good. We threw the rest of the other bagels away. In addition, while the staff preparing all the food and drinks were friendly, the cashier who took the order was not friendly or well mannered at all. No "hi" or "thank you." We only ordered a dozen bagels and 2 tubs of spread. You would think that if there was no one ordering after us, every employee would be trained to be efficient and she would be able to grab those bagels and spreads so we can be on our way. Nope, we waited another 20 minutes because the rest of the staff were busy preparing sandwiches and drinks for previous customers while she just stood around. Not sure if we ever want to wait 30 minutes again for someone to just grab some undercooked bagels and put in a bag. read more

Today was the first day here. I didn't go in but the wife did. i got the cinnamon and raisen bagel with matching cream cheese. I also had the western bagel on everything bagel. I don't know much about bagels or how they are supposed to taste, feel or the texture. All I know is they were good. Firm almost crunchy outside and yet yeasty and chewy inside. Today is my birthday, and she gave me a free baklava treat for my birthday. And the lady that made my lox bagel accommodated my dietary restrictions and was able to make me a delicious sandwich. Excellent customer service and such good bagels! My husband and I have been looking for a good bagel shop close to us. You can really tell that they take pride in all their bagels. They're fantastic and reasonably priced in comparison to another Bagel shop near SMU (I won't mention their name..) We tried 4 different bagels and 2 egg sandwiches (eggles) the Asiago Jalapeño was so good and my husband loved the jalapeño shmear. They also introduced me to this amazing Zhug sauce, which I put all over my bagel. I ended up eating the whole thing before we got home! We will be back for more read more

I like to see small businesses make it, but there's nothing really special about this place. Having had bagels in New York and Los Angeles San Francisco I didn't expect to find anything good in Dallas and I was correct The fresh bagels from Whole Foods are much better and their frozen bagels come from New York and are much better. Can't find the new Heath location here on Yelp, so I'll leave this here. I really like the business in north rockwall , so this is only meant for constructive criticism only as I hope the very best to improve and fulfill the best quality that is usually found coming to the bagel lady... when I went to the Heath location November 8th after I voted at 9:30am.. just for some coffee ..I came in and waited for several minutes before someone came up front to take my order. I would have left after a minute but since I really wanted to try the business and have some coffee I stayed. I just ordered . She gave me a cup , and I then poured some of the regular coffee out of the dispenser up from into my cup. I took a sip, I kid you not it had a soap taste or cleaner taste not sure. I wanted to tell the girl, maybe to get something else, a latte or something but then the girl was again nowhere to be found. So I left... thinking to myself , well that was a bummer. I won't be counting on there for coffee or breakfast when I'm in those parts .. anyways, too bad I was really excited for that place to be near me. Love the place, love the bagels, especially the lox and cream cheese. They had some issues at one point when The Bagel Lady got a piece of equipment that they had to calibrate. . . but everything is great now. They are not cheap store bought bagels. They are made fresh every day with top of the line ingredients. They care about their customers. I eat Keto, so I can't have them every day. . . but they came up with a scooped bagel idea where they scoop out some of the insides and toast it, so I get the flavor and crunch with fewer carbs. As to their parking problem, there are people parking illegally to got to another establishment next door to their shopping center. And it is the landlord having vehicles towed. . . . WOW!!! This bagel was amazing!!! You have got to try it. I had the jalapeno asiago toasted with cream cheese, I cant remember the name of the meat, topped with lettuce, tomato and onion.
