From tuliptreecafe.com website. Clearly states "Open Monday 10-3. Small paper schedule on front door had same hours listed.

About fourth time to visit. Been here before for lunch. Two of us came on a weekday around 12:30 for lunch. It's a bit of a ride but we figured see what's cooking? Because it's a ride I checked their website before leaving to ensure they'd be open. Well, as others have complained, they weren't answering the door or the phone. I could see them inside along with at least one or two people in the dining room. The sign on the door with printed schedule clearly indicated they should be open for business. Ok, maybe they didn't bother to update their schedules with changes (which by itself shows a gross lack of customer service); but to not answer the door when you can see us and we see you is downright rude and callous. This is in a rural part of the county which is all the more annoying about them. I'll continue to shop the nursery and gift shop which are very friendly and generous, but not the Tulip.

Beautiful timber framed dining area with a warm atmosphere. It's my first time here today I will definitely be coming back. Waitress was attentive and kind. Food was delicious. Got the lentil soup and the shrimp po'boy, both specials and both amazing. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

I had a wonderful lunch for Mother's Day with 10 people. The atmosphere was so beautiful and quaint. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. And the staff was very sweet and friendly. I couldn't recommended this place more!

Cute cafe. Small but inviting. Love that it's by Calgo farms. I walked in and it took a bit long to be greeted. I have heard the owner is very nice and pleasant to talk too but I guess today was an off day for her. The vegetable sandwich on ciabatta bread was extremely satisfying. Bread was so fresh. The vegetables with balsamic hit the spot. I would have liked a bit more vegetables and crunch. I had coleslaw with my sandwich. Tasted like it could be roasted pepper based but not sure. It was just ok for me. Last bite had a sizable peppercorn that lingered in mouth for awhile after which I wasn't happy about because the sandwich was so tasty. I would go back and try the chicken salad or grilled cheese sandwich next time or maybe treat my kids to breakfast there.

YES I am giving 5-stars because it was worth every penny spent…read more I had decided late Saturday night I wanted to go to brunch, but I didn't want to travel far and I didn't want to spend a fortune on items I didn't want to eat, I wanted a simply, tasty brunch/breakfast. So "Our House" !! Close to home, Mini-Me goes there for karaoke night and she enjoys the food there. Came here last Sunday 2/1/26 - Saturday night I made the reservations online- and Sunday we went on over- we found parking up front, even with the snow piled a mile high. Omelet station was doing a brisk business and although I am not much of an omelet person, I ordered mine, and let me say--theirs is really good! I also went up twice for the roast beef- the nice thing is, they don't cook a huge roast, it's medium size and seasoned and cooked perfectly, not a lot of fat, but the seasoning was fantastic. Chicken with lemon sauce, the pork in a really nice sauce, the house potatoes (really liked these- peel and eat shrimp were large and plentiful. Salads, sausage and bacon, sausage and peppers, and the desserts were so tasty. But lets talk about the waffles here- Belgium waffles , thick, fluffy and I absolutely enjoyed them, in fact I had two- I KNOW!! it was carbs, but who is counting carbs when it comes to a Sunday brunch?! I usually like Bloody Mary's at "Brunch Time", but this time, it was the mimosas calling my name- cool and refreshing and a perfect ratio of OJ and Prosecco. Mini-Me ordered a large apple juice to go with her mimosa's, lol. Coffee was hot and our cups were never empty. Serving staff was working hard, clearing tables keeping the patrons coffee cups filled and even taking orders for the bar service, I am not sure if patrons ordered from the regular menu, but it was busy!!! I have to say, there is something to be said about both a huge buffet and a buffet that caters to the basics of a good brunch- they do not over extend the items, I think that is were some places go wrong. They do 1/2 pans for the buffet so everything is fresh, and replenished quickly, nothing sits for long or is empty. The gentleman working the omelet /carving station was so friendly and nice, I couldn't help but smile each time I went up for "2nds". Anyway for $19.99pp plus tax and tip, it is definitely a winner in my book and a once a month breakfast on my calendar. When I asked about the Thanksgiving Brunch from people I know- Our House was given high praises so, my husband said I don't have to cook this year, we are going to OUR HOUSE!!!! and I couldn't be happier!

I can't believe I waited so long to come back to Harvest. What was I thinking ?…read more We went out for lunch to celebrate my friend's birthday and Harvest turned out to be a great choice! The location is a little further than we would normally travel, but it was worth it. I loved all the farm to table foods they have. They even nicely promote all the partners they use right on the wall of the restaurant, so you know where all your food comes from. Everyone loved their meals! I had the Thai chicken sandwich and it was so flavorful and delicious. It came with a side and I picked baked sweet potato wedges that were really good and so memorable that a week later I am still thinking about them. Other dishes ordered were the chicken salad and strawberry salad which my friends both enjoyed. Our server was very good and didn't rush us as we were just chatting up a storm. The restaurant suggests reservations which are a good idea, especially for dinner. I will definitely be back and can't wait to put Harvest on my restaurant rotation. Sorry no photos this time... the food was just so good and we were hungry!

Tucked away in a small town, you will find a cozy nook to discover American cuisine…read more Brand: 5/5 Harvest is a small restaurant in Farmingdale specializing in New American cuisine. The entrance stands out in this borough, despite its small size. I do think that sign with the wooden background reflected the cozy interior quite well with a homey style. The country décor on the walls also enhances the aesthetics. Website: 5/5 It wastes no time, for it immediately opens you to the menu where most of the items have their own images. I appreciated the minimalistic design where the understandable font provides you with the information. The basic description of the establishment does say that they rely on locally sourced ingredients. Ambiance: 5/5 Normally, dark interiors would not necessarily work for eateries unless they achieve a cozy vibe; which is what Harvest did perfectly. The wooden walls provide a sense of comfort underneath lights dim enough to not offend the eyes but bright enough to see. Despite the cramped space, I did think that the interior fitted the ambiance, along with the smooth country music playing over the radio. Service: 5/5 The staff was quite jovial and patiently explained a part of the menu. We had no issues with our orders. Wait Time: 5/5 I did wait awhile for the meals, though we managed to get our orders without any interruptions. Food: 4/5 I ordered the Grilled Chicken Thai Sandwich with no additional sides, with a free, complementary glass of water. It has ciabatta beard containing grilled chicken, spinach, cucumbers, and Thai sauce. I do not know if the signature sauce is authentically Thai, but I will say that I could barely tolerate the pungent taste and smell. I cannot say whether it is the feature. Every other part, such as the spinach and the cucumbers, definitely complemented the grilled chicken with a juicy taste. The ciabatta bread buns managed to hold their form, even as the contents started to fall off. Worth The Money?: 2/5 I will say that Harvest brand has as much of a highfalutin status as its prices. While the restaurant reflects the New American cuisine, it does not come off as condescending. Nevertheless, I still thought that the limited menu items just do not help with the prices. For the website, I would suggest a list of all the farms and independent distributors that Harvest relies on for ingredients, and to include a backstory about how Harvest began and where the name came from. I find local-sourcing incredibly important and commend Harvest for incorporating this into their business model. Concerning the food, I will say that the Grilled Chicken Thai sandwich did have suffice within the ambiance. The wait time it took to make the meal was appropriate enough. I will say that the wait time did feel long within the establishment, especially when no one else was around. Nevertheless, the service did make the food worth the wait and the ambiance worth immersing in. With all of this being said, would I say that the overall price would bring me back? Not really. Even the complementary water could not win me over when compared to the prices. Prestigious New American eateries tend to have a focus on specific consumer bases, and I am just not one of them. I do not score low on this part out of spite, rather based on my current station and many other people. I did tip the staff and I did have enough satisfaction with the meal. Rating: 4/5 Stars I do not know how Harvest would carry itself into the future, though I can see how it would suffice as a New American restaurant. Recommend To... Anyone with enough disposable income looking for a quiet restaurant.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

Website: 8/10 It was easy to navigate within the vibrantly colored site. It provides an abundance of information in terms of the business itself, the menu items, the table reservations, the interactive Google map section, and the mobile app QR code. I did come across typos, defunct images, and I admit I questioned the authenticity of the testimonials. Brand: 8/10 Taco House and Grill's brand has a standard orange, black, and white color scheme, giving off the vibrant Mexican aesthetic, along with the minimalist symbol of the taco-and-knife. The interior of the establishment manages to evoke a warm, cozy environment with its plants and its black painted tables keeping up with the color scheme. Concerning the logo, it was barely discernible on the website icon with so much detail on it. I could barely see it on the top bar of my screen. Ambiance: 10/10 The wood tables had enough space for six customers throughout the establishment, with a few outside on the porch. While we became the earliest customers with no one reserving a seat inside yet, I can still clearly see how the ambiance would not be disruptive. If it would get disruptive, I can see how reservations can be made either in front of the counter or outside. The establishment had plenty of space. Service: 10/10 We had no issues with the staff, since we managed to receive our orders with no problems. Wait Time: 10/10 Although we came a couple minutes early, we managed to walk inside and wait while reading the menu. Our orders also came on time. No interruptions occurred as we talked and as I wrote. Food: 10/10 I ordered the ham, egg, and cheese burrito with sides of tortilla chips, green salsa, and an orangeade. The breakfast burrito was one of the best breakfast plates I ever ate. It had a warmness both in taste and temperature, for every smooth and inviting taste complemented the soft yet sturdy burrito wrap. It was further complemented by the hot sauce and the poppy seeds, giving the wrap its warm, inviting flavor. Their site argued that their food has "an explosion of taste of culture"--and I could not agree more. Worth The Money?: 10/10 Aesthetics-wise, Taco House and Grill could improve, while substance-wise, it helped me restore faith in my community. The owners care about the well-cleaned establishment and its unique place in a small town. I love spicy food and Taco House and Grill definitely delivered well on its menu items. The establishment relies on locally sourced ingredients and authentic generational recipes, which I always support. Local businesses should always source locally, because the money circulates throughout the community; and authentic recipes sets this business apart from larger chains like Chipotle. In terms of metaphorical price, such a business model is priceless, and in physical price, I would say that the establishment itself is worth it. Pertaining to the website, the accolades such as its awards and 5-star reviews would help solidify its ethos if the site specified them or had links leading to the specific awards and reviews worth noting. I believe them when they say they locally source their ingredients, and I would like for them to list the local farms they source from. Rating: 5/5 Stars To say I have hope for Taco House and Grill would be an understatement. I give this establishment an excellent rating and hope that it will continue to exist in Farmingdale. Recommend To... Anyone who lives along the main street of Farmingdale who wants to try authentic Mexican food. Since I overheard the owners speak Spanish, I could also recommend this establishment to anyone trying to practice speaking Spanish. Due to the cozy interior, I would highly recommend catering Taco House and Grill during the autumn and winter seasons.

Brand: 4/5 I appreciate the awareness of Irish heritage within this establishment. I do believe I remember passing through years ago and the old symbols being the American and Irish flags, which I definitely missed. The official slogan is: Where There's Good Food, Good Friends & Good Times. I have a problem with the repetitiveness of the word "good," since it would take longer for any newcomer to read it compared to a shorter slogan. Inside, you will find a central bar with booths surrounding it, with many neon signs of shamrocks, along with many televisions. Website: 5/5 It looks well-updated, with the functional pages leading you to the menu and the location. It also has that solid green color with the specific Hibernian shade as the color scheme, which fits the site. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not experience any interruptions. Ambiance: 5/5 The establishment did start to get noisy as the day got longer, but it mostly came from the bar section, whereas I ate at the booths. The bar and the booths had a good amount of space apart. The classic rock played smoothly over the radio, while the televisions did not have an intrusive volume. Food: 4/5 Even though it is a bar and grill, I decided to order a non-alcoholic course. So, I ordered the Irish Nachos, which consists of waffle fries, pepper-jack cheese, green onions, bacon bits, and sides of sour cream. I did think that the pepper-jack cheese had a liquid texture. The green onions complement the cheese in giving the dish its sharp taste. They had the appropriate amount of heat and the fries held their forms, whether with the cheese or immersed in sour cream. The contrast of the cool sour cream and the hot cheese definitely complemented well with each waffle fry. Service: 5/5 I confess that I did awkwardly enter into the establishment due to my nervousness. However, I was accommodated well despite my poor first impressions. Worth The Money?: 4/5 I will say that this dish has a great place here, for the Irish Nachos did not cynically appropriate Irish or Mexican cuisine, rather offers a hybridized dish with a unique twist. Though, if Irish heritage is to become a central aesthetic to this establishment, then I would like to see words and phrases in Irish Gaelic in either the marketing or the menu. The business would benefit to have the Irish diaspora relearn their mother-tongue, since it is an endangered language in the Republic of Ireland. Maybe "Spinach and Artichoke Dip" could have a Irish Gaelic translation just below in shorter font called "Taos Spionáiste agus Bliosán." A good slogan has short syntax, meaning that it has the ability to encapsulate a wondrous experience within a few marketable words. The slogan at the end of the menu fitted the bar and grill better which is: Your Seat's Always Waiting. It also would have helped the website to include a brief historical backstory of Mulligan's Bar and Grill. Other than that, the website does have a good feel of the establishment before you even enter inside. The waitress did remark how the booth section did not have enough heat, though I did not notice. Nevertheless, it definitely shows how the staff care about the establishment. The service that I got matched the quality of the Irish Nachos, and the food's preparation matched the time it took to wait. Eating during that time matched the ambiance slightly, with no problems with it, nor the wait time it took to make them. While I cannot say I would return since I never drink in a public place, I would say that the price was definitely worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I appreciate the experience of returning to my ancestral roots with every bite of Irish Nachos. As such, the Original Mulligan's Bar and Grill deserves a good "Sláinte!" from me. Recommend To... Anyone looking for Irish-inspired food with modern twists. You will find it in Mulligan's.
