Adorable spot about a block up from the waterfront. Used to be the original pharmacy and post office. Used to be a stop along the street car route that is now a street. Fascinating history which is explained on the menu. The restaurant itself is also a museum of sorts, with every item inside having some connection to its prior lives. We ordered the eggs benedict and the avocado toast. The only reason not five stars is that both were somewhat bland. Expected a bigger burst of flavor for both. Fun to have the option of ordering from the soda fountain (after 11 am only). You can sit at the bar or at tables inside or outside. There is free two hour parking up and down the road. Staff was incredible. So friendly and amenable to every circumstance. Would go back just for the staff.

Historic, near the waterfront, sweet, charming, super friendly staff. Full breakfast and lunch menus and a soda fountain. They have a bit of merchandise and a few bakery items for purchase. It has good vibes and reminds me of happy times. Had the daily special of mashed potato cakes. Memories of Mom. Great bacon! Again, super nice people and service.

To start, The Bair is very cute and quaint. We really enjoyed the aesthetic at The Bair and it felt very homey. We ordered basic breakfasts but they were good. I loved how crispy the bacon was. The one downside and the reason it's not five stars is it took an extremely long time to receive our food. The restaurant didn't seem too busy and based on the fact that we ordered very basic meals, I was not expecting to wait the amount of time we did for the food. We were also only checked on once during our meal, and again, the restaurant is not large so I was a bit surprised by that. All in all, I think we may be back but it is not our first choice for a breakfast spot.

Such a quaint little restaurant tucked in the old Hardware Store located on the Main Street through Steilacoom. The service is exceptional, the menu has a variety of options for breakfast and lunch. We have been there many times for breakfast and have enjoyed the food. Today my husband had the steak, egg, and potatoes while I had the spiced chicken scramble made into a burrito. We will definitely return!

Local favorite with classic brunch type food daily. The decor is a bit of a living museum dating back to the 1800's. The servers are kind and knowledgeable about the menu options. Food can be a bit bland. Nothing a dash of salt of sprinkle of gravy, hollandaise sauce or egg yolk can't improve. Sausage was good but food was average on this trip.

Loved this place so much. I ordered Latte only- didn't know this is a brunch place. We were there for Soda fountain and ice cream- old times treat. But the fountain is broken. It will be back in a few months. Service was excellent. My latte was superb! Great atmosphere. Great customer service. Will back soon for brunch !

The ambiance was very quaint and the service was fantastic. The food was yummy and my friends enjoyed their meals as well.

We had to wait very briefly to be sat. There are limited tables and it's a popular spot. This is not my first rodeo here, and it's been a minutes since visiting but this is my first review... unfortunately. The staff were all friendly and constantly on the move. We were ordering 2 mimosas and the person taking the order said that a carafe was $24 so it's cheaper. The carafe is $29, I can deal with a $5 difference and we all flub things up at times. Our food came and smelled great. The Benedict was cold; the omelette piping hot. Again, it happens it was just disappointing. No one stopped by until we were done eating to ask if we needed anything and then left. The person bussing tables came to take our dishes and they graciously went to request our bill. We weren't sure if we go up front to pay and someone else helped us. It was a bit confusing and we weren't sure if it's a group effort or what but we never saw the person we ordered with except to drop the bill. Overall it left a meh for us. Will I come back? Probably. Will I go out of my way to make my way here? Maybe not. But they're definitely a busy spot and popular in Steilacoom.

I swear this place must have the best meat I have ever tasted because before last night I don't…read morerecall ever having better tasting meat in my life. It was my first time in and I wasn't sure what to get so the server recommended the mixed grill which came with chicken and beef on a skewer charbroiled to perfection and a log of kafta which is ground lamb and beef mixed together. It was SOOOOOO good. I ate it the next day and it was equally delicious! I am not a huge hummus fan but I loved theirs. There was something very authentic tasting about their olive oil drizzle on it. The hummus was the perfect texture and flavors. It was amazing. The salad was great they don't skimp on the dressing. I would order a whole salad next time to get more onions and olives that's how tasty it was - left me wanting more! They don't give you a bunch of rice like other places which is fine with the mixed grill plate because there's already so much on this $35 dish (worth every penny). The pita was not too thick, not too thin and perfectly chewy. Everything about this meal seemed very authentic to me, however I don't have a great gauge on authentic Lebanese food. It was seat yourself and I found a spot right away. They weren't busy for dine in but plenty of people must love the place because there were a lot of pickup orders. The ambiance is clean and beautiful with colored lamps hanging from the ceiling and just enough decor. My dinner meal was large enough that I was able to enjoy it today for lunch. Omg I almost forgot about the sauce ! It's served with two white sauces. One is garlic the other is idk but they were both 10/10 but the garlic would be my #1. I have had this sauce before and I thought it was amazing then but at Beirut bites it's even better ! Ok, I couldn't stop thinking about it today. So I called in a kafta sandwich with fries, a lemonade and baklava to go. It did not disappoint. The fries were delicious and the bare look of them fools you because you think they have no flavor. You'd be very wrong to think that! I might like them more than five guys fries... the lemonade is fresh made in house and very tart with a hint of mint. It's refreshing. The kafta sandwich was packed with yummy veggies and wrapped up tight and clean! At first I thought the sandwich was small but I think that's misleading because of how tight it's wrapped because I was very full eating it! It was the perfect portion for me. I haven't tried the baklava yet. I have already recommended this place to a few people and will definitely return. The flavors are unbeatable.

Delicious fresh food. Wonderful, friendly service…read more So glad we tried this new gem! The young man who waited on us told us they make everything in house and was so proud of their food as they should be. Well seasoned, delicious, the hummus was like silk. I can't wait to go back and try more!
