A bowl of Oatmeal with brown sugar for Wifey, and Classic Eggs Benedict for myself, while we split a generous plate of bacon. The oatmeal was not as creamy as expected but more "natural" as it kept a touch of graininess without detracting from its yummy sweetness. My Eggs Benedict, on the other hand, were "properly" balanced, meaning the eggs were poached with just enough firmness and thick, yolky consistency !! Loved the Hollandaise Sauce as it maintained a thick, buttery warmness with a slight tang enhancing the eggs, the juicy ham layer, and the crunchy English muffin. The home fries were crispy on the outside with a gentle moist texture on the inside and nicely seasoned with every bite ! Our bacon was hand sliced having a perfectly tender and smokey flavour throughout . My coffee cup was never empty, thanks to our attentive coffee server! I then waited about 10 minutes before my waitress came to take my order. I ordered the corned beef hash with country potatoes, eggs over easy, sourdough toast, and a coffee. When my food arrived, I was given hash browns instead of country potatoes. I didn't notice right away as I was reading, but once I did, I let the waitress know. Before that, I had asked for mustard on the side, which took about 5 minutes to arrive--even though my table had a clear view of the kitchen. When I mentioned the incorrect potatoes, the waitress paused, said "oh yeah," and walked away without much acknowledgment or urgency. Knowing it might take a while for her to return, I asked for a coffee refill and water at the same time. Overall, there was very little check-in, and the service felt inattentive and slow. When I received the check, it appeared the item had been altered to reflect the change, but by that point, the experience had already been disappointing. I understand places can get busy, but the lack of attentiveness and follow-through made this visit frustrating. I'm not sure I would return.

At home, we had a tasting fest, and strangely, much to my chagrin, the s'mores were the LEAST favored! They were described as dry and not tasting "s'morey," and the kids didn't like the "burned marshmallows." So, the s'mores, of which I bought four, sat relatively uneaten save for some nibbles on the edges here and there. The next least favorite was the maple bacon, which also went uneaten. Now, at over $4 for a special donut ($4.02), that caught my attention, but we live and learn. The other flavors were delicious and quite different! They were actually quite fresh and soft compared to the s'mores. We took our time, and even after about two or three days, they were still good. I think that my faves were the blueberry lemon, the pistachio, and the strawberry rosé. The lavender honey was also quite good, too, now that I think about it, so I guess my favorites were all the ones other than the s'mores and maple bacon.
