This place is totally adorable. Went here after an event around 11 on Sunday and it was packed. I do not know if they take reservations, but if they do make some! Our table had an assortment of items and everything was great. The brioche French toast was like dessert for those with a sweet tooth. Omelette was huge (a little too much egg for me), but our dining companion had no complaints. Also highlight was the southwest salad. I could have done with a little rarer steak (I ordered medium rare as the waiter seemed to think that was bloody enough). Portion sizes are large, so beware. Ambiance is just that little cute local flair that I really wish more restaurants could achieve. You won't be sad coming here for brunch. read more

Beehive managements is the best. Because of the pandemic they put flexi glass between their booth. Tables are set inside and outside properly adhering to social distancing spacing. Their coffee is back ...happy camper here. Excellent service is normal here that is why this is the to go restaurant in the area and even out of towners come here so you need to be patient to wait during busy hours. There's nothing in the menu that I tried that was not to like. Favorites; Omelette platter ( you can ask them how do you want your omelette done) Anything in the special section If you are on diet and don't want hash brown in the combo platter, you can ask them replaced with greens with no extra charge. The cheeseburger so good tgat my 5 yr old ate his first entire burger ever and I had to try everything to steal a bite. i didnt mind they gave him the full size entree even tho we ordered kids. The great: their cakes are to die for. Probably the only reason to stop by here. Nice outdoor seating area in the summer. The decent: Almost no options for vegetarians. Don't bother if you're vegan. We've had eggs (scrambled, omelettes) and french toast, and it's pretty bland but functional. Servers are lovely. The bad: Horrible hostess and manager. Super hostile and rude, as mentioned in other reviews. Seated others ahead of us despite the other hostess asking her to seat us (!!!!!!). Finally seated us in the far back corner. Clientele was all white, we were the only ones who weren't, so that seemed like a factor. I spoke with the manager who was condescending ("I'm sorry that you FEEL that way", the standard non-apology of narcissists everywhere) and didn't do a thing to rectify the situation. 0/100 stars for customer service. I have contemplated leaving this review since the weekend but I feel like I have to.. we have eaten here before, multiple times and have never had an issue. This time was the first time we came with our new baby and I'm paying more attention than ever to hygiene protocols. Anyway, we finished our dinner (very bland) and ordered a slice of cheesecake. I headed to the bathroom to change my son quickly.... I was waiting for the bathroom with my baby and casually looking around. Where you stand at the bathroom has a clear view of the area where they assemble salads, and cut the cakes... what I saw will prevent me from ever eating at this restaurant again... I not only watched my server cut my piece and grab it with her bare hand to put it on the plate but I saw ANOTHER server do it with two pieces of chocolate cake where he actually scraped the crumbs off of the knife using his pointer finger and put it onto the cake.... Not a glove in sight... I brought it up to my server and she acted very surprised, saying this is unlike her and that she doesn't remember?when this is CLEARLY commonplace as all the servers are doing it... hard to imagine what goes on in the area of the restaurant that isn't visible to diners. Had brunch here this past weekend with my husband. There was about a 20-25 minute wait, because this place is definitely busy. I figured that seemed like a pretty good indication of how good the food would be. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary, which was average. I did like the clam juice flavor, but I think it could have been a bit spicier, and garnished with some of the more traditional pickled veggies, even though my husband did enjoy the piece of bacon that came in it. As for the food, the banana macadamia nut pancakes are AMAZING!! They are light and fluffy and full of flavor. Honestly, you don't even need syrup. Speaking of syrup, I was kinda shocked by the syrup situation. Considering it's a restaurant serving pancakes, french toast, etc., it's kinda weird and annoying that they serve the syrup in prepackaged plastic containers, as opposed to a proper dispenser (sort of like the kind you see at IHOP). It creates a ton of waste, and I know it's not economically beneficial at all. In any case, the pancakes were a hit, and I highly recommend them. Now on to the most disappointing part of the meal... We ordered the breakfast quesadilla, hoping that it would match or exceed the City Limits (located in white plains) version. It did no such thing, it had waaaaaay too many white onions, that actually overpowered the mild tastes of the eggs and cheese. Then, it wasn't even served as advertised. It was supposed to be made with chorizo, but somebody in the kitchen used some low quality (too many fillers and not enough meat) smoked sausage. I'm from the south, and definitely know what smoked sausage tastes like. The quesadilla was accompanied by pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. Unfortunately, they don't carry any kind of salsa in the entire restaurant, which makes no sense, considering they are offering Mexican-styled food. That is beyond me. Lol. If not for the awesome pancakes salvaging this meal, I definitely would not consider ever returning to this place. Given the wait and the other glowing reviews, unfortunately this place weighed more in the "disappointing" column. -__- read more

This is a very cute and bustling restaurant, located in a quiet neighborhood. It reminds me of an American diner. There aren't a lot of unique menu items, just what you would typically find in a traditional diner. But the options are vast! Service as well is pretty good. However, the food was mediocre in my opinion. I ordered the pot of mussels (oreganata) while my friends ordered the chicken and waffles, quesadillas, omelet, etc. the food is pretty standard to me but kind of lacking in flavors. Especially the mussels hardly had much flavor other than watery sourness from the lemons they put it. It wasn't creamy, sweet, or had a punch of savory. I've had much better mussels pots in the past and at a cheaper price. The portions are huge btw. I'm glad I came to try the beehive since I don't live too far, but likely won't be coming back. The restaurant is a little bit on the crowded side which makes the environment feel cluttered. I personally like being in more big open spaces with higher ceilings. Their outdoor seating is just as cramped but there are many customers so you can always count on a crowd, making this place lively. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday around 3:30 PM. We had just missed the brunch session which I was told ended at 2 PM. We were really looking forward to some brunch food, but life goes on... my wife ordered the Portabella mushroom wrap, it had mozzarella, red peppers and pesto mayo. It was a tasty wrap, but my one complaint is that it was very watery. When you're midway through the first half of the wrap, it was like niagara falls. The second half is kind of soggy, so I would ask to make sure it's not watery. I was told that if I didn't choose the "famous" French Dip, I might as well go home...so I ordered it. He was a very good sandwich, but I'm not sure about it being a must order. The meat was cut a little thick and some horseradish mayo would've done wonders for it...but no horseradish mayo :( However, the garlic wedge bread, Cabot Jack cheese, and frizzled onions were very nice additions! We both had the sweet potato sides which was good, I would've preferred it to be cut a little thinner. Overall, it was a good experience, food was OK and service was decent. Pro tip: Try to get there before 2 PM so you can take a vantage of the brunch menu. Also note, that if you go around 3:30 PM the staff is setting up for the dinner shift. The young lady that was setting up the tables could've been more mindful of the guests present. Shows like a bull in a China shop banging things, so it made for a noisy affair. read more

The waiters are extremely rude, disrespectful, and judgemental. They blatantly laughed at and made fun of a member of my family. In fact, they called the cook from the kitchen into the dining room so he could laugh at my family member as well.
