While waiting to order a breakfast sandwich, I noticed the guy taking my order was the same person that was ringing people up and handling their cash and everything else behind the counter. After he took my order, a simple plain bagel, toasted lightly buttered, I asked him if he wouldn't mind, could he change his gloves because I saw him handling money and everything else behind the counter, he looked me dead in the eye and said to me "is that all you want" and proceeded to the grill without changing his gloves. . I visited this shop at 4:00 PM, well before their 5:00 PM closing time, and asked for a smoothie. I was told that they were "not making them today", which was surprising since smoothies are clearly advertised as part of their menu. While I waited for my Uber, another customer came in to order food and was told that the grill was already cleaned and they were not making any more food. When she asked what time they closed, they said 5:00 PM--so why were they shutting down an hour early? It was incredibly unprofessional and misleading to turn away customers while still being open. If the staff doesn't plan on serving food and drinks up until closing time, they should update their hours or at least post a sign so people don't waste their time. The customer service was rude and dismissive, and it felt like they were more focused on closing early than serving customers. Definitely won't be returning. Zero stars if I could. read more

Woohoot First!! Ok so here's the low down on this new spot which has a fresh and modern look in a somewhat dated shopping area. The bagel itself its pretty spot on and I'd consider it a classic NY bagel which has that chewy outside and tender inside with just the right amount of schmear. Not too little not too much. They offer the usual variety of bagels, schmears, and have a long list of different sandwich they'll make. Bonus points for selling Boars Head products. Only the best. The vibe inside is what I'd consider modern/industrial which is definitely new and fresh for both Staten Island and the area. Its also super clean. Freshness hasn't been an issue the few times Ive been here. I only hope that they continue this way because new business tend to die in this shopping center. I had to go to Motor Vehicles and upon leaving I saw a very pleasing to the eye bagel shop...who can refuse that ? Yes please!!! Upon walking in wearing my Prince baseball cap I was cheerfully greeted by Jose at the register and a few patron eating for their orders. Everyone was engaged in small talk and in generally good spirits. I attributed that to an overall good vibe in the place. It was clean, bright and a good size with a proper seating area. A win win !! Stop by when in the area...it will not disappoint !! As I sat in my car outside writing this review, I realized I left my very sturdy umbrella somewhere. I tried this bagel store after shopping at Burlington. The menu was quite impressive. They had egg sandwiches, bagels, pastries, omelets, wraps, and sandwiches. Everyone here was friendly and on their game speed wise. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything and she asked if I wanted the bagel toasted and if I want saltpepperketchup. Perfect. The sandwich itself was good, but the bagel could have been a bit better. I long for that almost crusty outer shell with the soft inside... this bagel was just soft. This place intentionally scams everyone. I came in and ordered a small coffee. The guy purposely charged me for the medium thinking I will not notice. After charging me, I tell him to just give me a medium coffee. So he pours the small coffee in my cup into a medium size cup... and it turns out, they are exactly the same size.. one is just taller! Just found this place today, as I'm on winter vacation and decided to treat myself to a cup of coffee (which I no longer drink regularly). Don't mean to sound like I'm in another country, state or city, but I'm close to home on Staten Island, and it is so nice to find a modern, spacious bagel shop w/benches, chairs and tables that seat 4-6 people. Lots of good bagel shops on "Shaolin" (for us Wu Tang fans), but not many you can sit down in. The bagels are classic and of all kinds, with a large selection of bagel sandwhiches perfect for breakfast or lunch. The meats are of really good quality and coffee is really good too. And I can't forget to mention the small selection of pastries and baked sweets you may be considering with that java... The staff is very pleasant, and I like the fact that the location has a wide open parking lot where on sunny days you can just take your bagel, beverage, and enjoy it at or in your car with the sun on your face. It's the perfect stop if you're about to jump on or near West Shore Express Way, Goethals Bridge, or 440. Note: There is also a great Asian Food Market in this little mall enclave as well. Well stopped in to this quaint Little Restaurant after a Dr.s appointment next door. First when You see all the beautiful pastries and cakes it's amazing. So We had pastry and coffee and both were excellent! Also Every single worker there was kind and courteous which is important because You don't need some one giving You upset stomach before You even eat. It is very warm soft lighting and a very diverse menu that even the biggest snob could find something for his palette. I will definitely come back and look forward to trying breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's casual although at night I think I would dress it up a bit..but You don't HAVE to. We have needed a really good bagel store in the neighborhood for awhile. I stumbled onto this gem on a Sunday morning the place was empty which was not a good sign. I asked "why so empty ?" I was told their main business was done Mon - Fri . Thank the bagel gods I decided to try it anyway . I ordered my go to bagel the well done everything with butter. I wasn't planning on coming here but DMV was closed until 10am I will say for the most part that it was clean, it was so much room for other stuff that they didn't stock I found the selection to be very limited. the muffins were very small maybe they were artisan or they were design for small children. Then I was nickel-and-dimed for an egg white sandwich ,ask for extra bacon because they only gave me 2 and was charged more for an extra two extra pieces of bacon which was told that it's the owners rules to only give two pieces of bacon, they made it a point of telling me that. The sandwich came out to be $5 which I found to be too pricey, for a small roll with some small bacon that was well done (not my taste) .... I didn't order a drink because I was afraid it would be a lot more money, $2.25 for coffee a gentleman before me purchased.... if you like overpriced sandwiches small muffins and a lot of room for limited choice, go there...
