I didn't feel like the eggs were done enough but I've been struggling lately with the "egg ick." I lived in South Korea for a few years and I need to accept that Americans cannot do eggs benedict the way all the restaurants in SK could do it. We love coming to The Big Biscuit!!! Service is always amazing. Today, however, our hash browns tasted like they'll oil they used was rancid. That has never happened before. Problem with using rancid olis is that eating rancid oil can lead to a range of health issues, including inflammation, oxidative stress, and an increased risk of heart disease. It can also form free radicals, damaging cells and potentially increasing the risk of conditions like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and cancer. While a single instance of eating rancid oil may not cause immediate damage, frequent consumption can have detrimental effects. We will continue going, but we hope they're more aware of this in the future. If this continues, we will have to go somewhere else. read more

The only advice I would give is to actually put more sugar in the sweet tea so I can actually be sweet, but after going to multiple places in Missouri, I see that that's just a Missouri thing to not make the tea as sweet as it should be so I won't count it against them A+ for me. read more

This place was extremely chaotic. It seemed some of the servers were very busy others not at all even though all tables were full on a Sunday at 11 am. The wait list was long so I suggest you add name to Yelp wait list before going. Also no big waiting area so if you need to sit while waiting best to plan ahead. Food was ok not stellar. My eggs Benedict was lukewarm if that. Also had to ask for silverware. Pretty amazing that as we received the check the server then became interested if we needed anything at all or could use a to go cup. Obviously hoping for a better tip than actually deserved. This is a great restaurant. They have the Bonut which is a fried biscuit that the put fresh fruit on it. Yes the carbs are heavy but it is so good. I normally get their eggs Benedict with ham. First time I've ever ate at the Big Biscuit after hearing all the good reviews. I'll never try it again. To put it mildly, the food was not good. The eggs and hashbrowns were good, but not anything else. The gravy tasted like packaged gravy that was watered down. Got one of those $5.99 mocha iced coffees. There was hardly any flavor to it. It tasted like it was totally watered down. I can't even describe the taste, it was so terrible. I gave it to my son because I couldn't drink it and he said there was no flavor either. He got the French vanilla iced coffee and it actually had a decent taste. Unfortunately, both glasses were filled with ice to the top and after 4 sips out of the straw it was gone. $6 for 4 sips! What a rip off. That is what got me really upset. $6 for this nasty tasting iced coffee that had no flavor except the watered down flavor that's hard to explain. The waitress was super nice and offered to take it off my bill, but I'm the type of person who pays for what I order, so I paid for it. But it was just terrible starting out & it just ruined the whole dining experience. What topped off the disappointment was the watered down packaged gravy. We paid almost $25-$30 a person for this over cooked chicken fried steak, 99 cent aisle packaged, watered down gravy with no flavor, & the 4 sip mocha coffee and that was way too expensive for the nastiness we received. I like the variety the menu has, and this location is always busy and always clean imo. Only a 4-star, though, because even though the food is outstanding, the service is always hit or miss. They are always fast, but the servers loudly gossip about customers or other services/kitchen staff and it's unprofessional and uncomfortable.
