First and last time to this location! It was not even busy and now I know why! Can't quite understand how you get your food out and it's cold, but for some reason they look at you strange as if you made it up. Thank you yelpers for this find!!!!! OMG!!! It is not only about the biscuits here but they sure are amazing. I came on 4th of July traveling cross country, stayed in the Walmart parking lot over night and read reviews of where to eat in the morning. The Big Biscuit came up first and I know why. Went about 9am and got right in though the place was already packed. By 10am the line was out the door. Service was fast and friendly, they were moving tables quickly but I never felt rushed at all. I ordered the Mayberry, it had biscuit and gravy, cheese and sausage omelet and potato's . Everything was massive!!! The biscuit is huge, the omelet was out of control and covered nearly the whole plate. The food was fantastic, the biscuits are soft and flakey not dough balls like some biscuits! I took half my food home because I just couldn't eat it all. I am glad I don't live around here, I would eat here way too often. We were in the neighborhood and had a craving for breakfast food! We "yelped" for a place with good ratings and this place popped up! It is located in a strip mall type setting so there were ample parking! BONUS!! As we walked in we were greeted and seated quickly! SCORE!! We ordered coffee for starters. I checked the menu out and decided that biscuits and gravy was the winner!! Our order came out quickly. My biscuits were ok...burnt on the bottom. The gravy was not as thick as I would have liked. More on the runny side. It kinda reminds me of running low on the gravy so you add water to make it stretch. I don't know. Maybe that's "their" normal recipe?!?! For me, it was meh! This place is exactly what I was hoping for! Delicious breakfast foods, cooked just right! I had the corn beef hash with eggs, grits, and a biscuit. The coffee came with a carafe that stayed on the table which is always a plus for me! I ordered a peanut butter and banana pancake for my son. The hash was delicious and full of flavor and the biscuit was fluffy and delicious! One of the best biscuits I've ever had! The grits on the other hand... if you are a grits lover then just skip them here. There's plenty of other good things to try but the grits aren't one. The banana and peanut butter pancake was HUGE definitely big enough for 2 people and a HUGE portion of peanut butter. All around great food and would definitely come back! I have tried several different things at this Big Biscuit. My favorite by far is the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. You won't leave hungry. The Cowboy also has a chicken fried steak but it is stacked with a biscuit and potatoes and eggs and gravy. Unfortunately the gravy wasn't even on the biscuit or steak so it was very dry. This location is pretty good. The service is consistently fast and the servers are always nice. The food is ok. I definitely prefer the specialty pancakes to the regular ones. If you're getting pancakes, you should get the cinnamon roll or blueberry, pass on the plain. You get alot of food, no matter what you order. All in all its a decent breakfast spot. read more

Over an hour waiting outside where to go orders were asked to wait and I finally just left. The Big Biscuit is a popular breakfast establishment offering a wide selection of interesting dishes. ATMOSPHERE: TBB is your standard family style setting with bountiful seating and a counter by the kitchen. FOOD: You'd be hard pressed to dislike the fare here. From benedicts to scrambles to sweet offerings, there is something for ever palate. I've tried things across the menu and found the ingredients to be good quality with the portions fair. VALUE: For the money TBB is okay. It isn't overly expensive, but I wouldn't say it's cheap either. My comparison is with a breakfast chain where I used to live that offered comparable quality food in slightly larger portions for slightly lower prices. This was in upstate NY where the cost of living is substantially higher, too. I don't foresee TBB doing anything about this, though, since they're essentially the only game in town, and the locals have clearly been bereft of varied food choices through no fault of their own. When it comes to breakfast in Raymore the options are IHOP's diabetes menu or TBB. SERVICE: I saved this section for last because it's perplexing here. While normally adequate, there are quirks that need addressing. First, at the counter the only server is Melissa, and she tends to be aloof regarding checking on her customers and refilling water, coffee, etc. However, I can't completely lay blame on her because she's the only one taking phone orders and ringing up to-go customers. Meanwhile, the floor manager just meanders back and forth. Second, one thing I've noticed sitting at the counter is I often overhear servers talking about their customers, or I see them fiddling with their phones.
