We loved our Sunday breakfast today! The biscuits are perfect, fresh. The gravy is very tasty from scratch I assume, not a mix like we've had at other restaurants l. Next time I will still want the biscuits and gravy but I think I'd do the gravy on the side so that I can have butter and ham on part of it! I HIGHLY recommend this spot and hope they're get off to a smashing success in this Covid world we live it! Service was slow. Waited 30-40 minutes for our food. Our server was very friendly but not very attentive. I had to ask for a refill of my tea. Their unsweet tea is phenomenal. I got the bigger big breakfast add a waffle. The dry flour/wet flour was fantastic. Seasoned very well, generous gravy portion. Bacon was cooked to perfection. Hash was plated on top of sunny side up eggs, which is not ideal as I am not a fan of my yolk mixing with my hash. Hash was bland and undercooked. The waffle was powdered which I wasn't expecting but not bad. Syrup was presented hot which I love. The waffle was slightly overcooked but still tasted good. Wife got the traditional Benedict, she felt like the ham was entirely too thick. She subbed her potatoes for a pancake house, the pancake which was a lot very large, took up most of the 10" plate. Her salted caramel iced coffee was delicious and flavorful. Price point was a tad high. My add on waffle was a full price waffle breakfast as opposed to the more common à la carte. My wife, myself, and our 4.5 year old got out of there for around $75 with tip. I would like to see if the service issues were acute or chronic. read more

We offered the Bonut while we looked through the menu. Would highly recommend doing the same your first time. I ordered the Jim's Platter with my eggs poached medium. I love poached eggs but usually cooks cannot make them right and the whites are runny. These were perfect. My husband ordered the Mayberry Hash. It was very intimidating coming out. His eggs were fluffy and filled with sausage and cheese. There was enough food for two people on both plates, maybe even three people. I had a bad experience with my last visit to Big Biscuit. I ordered the Mayberry Hash. It came with two biscuits covered with sausage gravy, The biscuits were stacked on top of each other along with scrambled eggs. I ate the top biscuit and the top of the other one but ran out of sausage gravy. i asked if I could have a little extra gravy for my remaining biscuit. Our waitress had to check with her manager who came to our table. To have a little more gravy they would have to upcharge me $2.99. I explained I ran out of gravy and just needed a small amount for my half of biscuit. She refused, I left my remaining plate and told her I wouldn't be back again. I used to meet with friends there twice a week, but not any more. Poor customer service !! read more

Food is great, servers are always busy, so good luck if you don't get a pitcher of coffee. I found it odd that all the servers had to cover up their tattoos, but facial masks were optional. My scrambled eggs were rubbery and overcooked (proper scrambled eggs should have some moisture and a creamy texture, and no brown). Gravy was bland and needed spice badly. I ordered the Del Rio omelette which was supposed to have jalapeños but it didn't taste like anything close. The big biscuit was good as was the service from server Mia but the cheese grits were remarkably bland. The music played was outstanding with 70s rock dominating the room. I'll preface this review of the South Tulsa location by saying that I've been to another location near Kansas City and really enjoyed it. Our visit to the newish Tulsa location was not the worst, but it was not the best. To start with I ordered my eggs over easy. When my plate arrived the eggs were HARD. Not even soft left alone over easy. The chicken fried steak had barely any gravy on it. I asked our server for different eggs and a side of gravy. I was not rude or unkind in any way. This was not her fault, but she literally just stood there and stared at me. I'm choosing to chalk this up to her being young and inexperienced. It was like she just didn't know what to do with what I was asking. Within about 3-5 min there was a manager at our table. Again, I was not mad at all. Things happen. The manager did remedy the situation. I got my eggs and extra gravy. The food was fine. I will give them another go before I write them off entirely. read more
