The hospital it's located in a weird location, there is plenty of parking, and good signs directing you towards the front door. Very helpful front staff, very kind and welcoming. They had to bring a flat bed to the car because we couldn't moved the dog comfortably. They took really good care of the dog from beginning to end. The doctor and other staff were giving us updates pretty regularly. Very clean lobby, coffee, water, and sodas are available for free! I would recommend it! Our experience was really great!

The post-op care was amazing! The caring nurses and friendly support staff kept us informed of her recovery and even sent us a pic after she had eaten her first meal. That put our minds at ease. After discharge, Stella had issues with one of the meds but Dr. Sebestyen and the nurses assisted in finding a solution and kept checking in on Stella throughout the day. Dr. Sebestyen even called over the weekend to see how she was feeling, which we appreciated. There were lots of people waiting with their pets outside and inside, so right then we knew it must be a good place. We took her in we'd already called. They knew the issue and took us to a room immediately. I handed her over and put her in a cage with the towels and let them put her to sleep why I left crying. They didn't charge us an arm in a leg. They were in disbelief that we took care of a cat that long with canned food that we couldn't pick her up. Our recently adopted shelter dog from Riverside was not healthy at the time took possession of her. We knew Puff had a swollen mammary gland which required removal. Unfortunately the shelter had not identified her life-threatening infected uterus. Two days later Puff's condtion worsened and we took her to a VEG ER Vet near us. After an examination and several tests they suspected the problem was an infected uterus and recommneded a visit to our Vet in Orange County. We wasted no time getting an appointment for two days hence. Our Vet confirmed the likely source of her condition was a worsening uterine infection. His recommendation was to go to AVSG in Tustin which we did. AVSG staff were available and we soon met with a Vet and an assistant. Soon they had all the files from the previous ER Vet visit and our own Vets notes. It was clear Puff needed surgery to remove uterus and the offending mammary gland. Caring staff answered questions about the surgery and what to expect. We also discussed costs, medicines and recovery time. Since we live outside of Orange County we had to return home that evening. Later thst night the Surgeon called us with a positive and thorough update which we much appreciated. The next day we returned to the OC to visit our new Pal. Staff said Puff.was agitated post surgery and thought it best she go home with us. She was alert, eating and with the Surgeon's approval she was discharged. Puff began her recovery in our very quiet home in the desert instead at the surgery center. Two weeks later we were back at the surgery center to have here stitches removed and get an update. All was well. The wound had sufficiently healed to allow us to give her a bath and move without restriction. As this writing Puff is eating, playful and getting all the rest and active she wants. We want to thank the excellent staff at both care providers for their attention to the immediate needs of our dog. We are also pleased with the price of her two days of care and the cost of the surgery. Everyone we met was professional, attentive and interested in the health of our dog and we are grateful for the positive outcome. We also want to ezpress our gratitude to the Surgical team. The Surgeon called us before the operation and twice afterwards. He genuinely cared and answered all of our several questions. We are beyond grateful with the result and happily recommend AVSG Internal Medicine Emergency and Critical Care and Veterinary Surgical Specialists both located in Tustin California.

Our vet gave her antibiotics for the infection but communicated to me that in time the infection would return. He recommended extraction, but due to her age and the required anestesia, he referred me to a specialist for the surgery. He assured me that Dr. Van Nice at ADS was someone he really trusted. I have been taking my dog to our vet, Dr. Fanous in Newport Beach, for over 10 years so I really trust his expertise and opinion. I called ADS and made an appointment. Honestly, I was terrified of the possibility that there could be a complication. I overthink everything and I started to panic that she could die during surgery (ridiculous, I know). However, I knew that I would feel worse to let her deal with the pain and sensitivity she was experiencing for the past few weeks. I made the decision to go through with the surgery. Bella had 8 teeth removed, due to loose and rotting teeth mostly in the back of her mouth. This was all explained to me at her consultation, where they were able to examine her and give me an overview of what to expect. On the day of the surgery, I was updated throughout the process and that gave me some relief, as I was very worried and stressed. It has been 6 months since Bella's surgery and she is so happy. She is back to being playful and does not look miserable or sad anymore. I wish I would have done the surgery sooner. If anyone is reading this wondering if they should take the risk- I highly recommend this team of professionals to help your pet have a better quality of life. I did not end up going with this service, but I felt it was necessary for me to write about what I was told on the phone call, and how I was addressed. I was already struggling with the decision. My 11.5 year old pup suddenly came down with pericardial effusion with a very poor, and short-lived prognosis. I had to make my decision with only a couple of days to research. When I called this place, it was around 4:00pm. I don't remember who was on the phone, but the woman who picked up made me feel like I shouldn't have been calling or that I was interrupting something. I get that we all have bad days in customer service jobs, and maybe this was just a bad day for this person. It was, however, one of the worst days of my life, and I still tried to be kind and reiterate my answers to her questions. I asked about specific verbiage on the website and to clarify what it meant, and I was met with something like "It is exactly as described on the website, did you re-read it?" and I was immediately taken aback. I was trying to get information on pricing, and how the procedure might go since my dog's physical condition was sensitive and fragile. She told me that if I was this concerned I should be going to an actual veterinary office to inquire, but that their veterinarians are very qualified to perform the procedure. Everything felt oddly defensive. I was having a hard time keeping my tears away during the call, and she kept telling me she couldn't understand me when I asked for a moment. Then, she told me if I wanted the doctor to come to my house right now, she'd need to charge me an insane extra fee. I understand after-hours fees, but we hadn't even gotten to appointment scheduling yet. I asked if I could think about it and get back to her, and she said yes, but I she would only hold my appointment slot for 30 minutes for the following morning if I wanted to do that. And, if she didn't hear back in 30 minutes. I'd have to call and reschedule a different day because the doctors are "very very busy". I felt like I was being rushed along without receiving much comfort or consultation, this is the first time I've ever sought-out an at-home pet euthanasia, so I was hoping for some guidance. Overall, this felt extremely callous, and I am so glad I went with a different service who made me feel cared for and were very accommodating and professional. The other service also fully articulates the fees they charge on their website with no hidden fees. All the rooms and walls are tasteful with cat art and photography and who doesn't like a cat themed bathroom?! Lastly, the staff are all pleasant and helpful. I was most impressed with the discharge notes from MD and the details of the documents, which even have a photo of your cat on the front.
