They advertised a 3-minute head start for toddlers (ages 0-3). As a mom of a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old, this is perfect. We invited several of our toddler mom friends and family to hunt with our kiddos. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee at the cafe before venturing to the event. Instead, it was nothing like last year and there was no separation. Older kids and oddly pushy parents immediately trampled the small courtyard area. It was chaotic, overwhelming, and frankly unsafe for the littlest ones. When I privately messaged the business to share that the promised toddler head start wasn't enforced and suggested better structure for next year, I was met with complete defensiveness. I was essentially told I should be "grateful" rather than disappointed because it was a free event (when technically we did pay over $50 to "be there") I completely understand that free community events are a massive undertaking, but good intentions don't excuse poor advertising, poor safety execution or dismissing customer feedback.
