So we were in the area and were looking for somewhere good to eat, and The Blazin Claw popped up, so we decided to give it a try. It's located in a shopping center, so parking was fairly easy, which is always a plus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very open and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we arrived, the place was pretty busy. We were seated right away, but it quickly became clear that they were short-staffed. One woman appeared to be handling all of the tables, I'm assuming she was the owener, and although she was doing her best, she was clearly overwhelmed. More customers kept coming in, and you could tell some people were getting frustrated while waiting to order or pay. We were patient and understood she was working hard. Once the food came out, it was worth the wait. Everything we ordered had really good flavor. The garlic Cajun fries were delicious, and the garlic shrimp noodles were one of my favorites. We also ordered Combo #2, and the snow crab legs were actually a really good size. The gentleman working in the back, who I'm guessing may have been one of the owners, came out and was helpful when we needed something. Both he and the woman seemed to be doing everything they could, but the restaurant definitely could use more staff during busy times. My only food critique would be the sausage, it tasted more like a regular hot dog, and I would have preferred a real sausage link. I also wanted to order melted butter for dipping but never got the chance because things were so hectic. Overall, the food was flavorful and satisfying, and I can understand why this place is popular. If they improve staffing during peak hours, the experience would be even better. I would go back if i'm in the area.

I've been coming here for years because of their great quality of food, excellent customer service led by Thi, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is always fantastic when there's a Dodger game playing on their TV.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of their food is amazing, but I consistently tend to order their Blazing Claw Combo #1 spicy, with whole shrimp, mussels, clams, and extra potatoes, along with a side of steamed rice. This meal feeds about four people and costs me $62 with tip. Stop by and enjoy their food, and Thi will take good care of your party.

I love this place! And yes, I have had the others! The young lady and gentleman that run this place are so hard working! We always come here when we are craving shrimp in a bag. Ordered here getting my son his first shrimp boil for his early bday celebration. The ordering was easy and straight up. It was ready in good time packaged right and still hot when we got home. The shrimp were a really good size nice and plump cooked perfectly. The potatoes were soft and seasoned well. Corn was soft and the sausage was pretty good had a smoky flavor. Garlic flavor was on point I asked for. O spice but I still got a nice lil punch in the end sometimes Perfect! Even when I was done I couldn't help eating the sauce with garlic. The prices were really good. Compared to other places and you get a bit more than others. We both enjoyed our dinner and will be back for more.

I am not sure how this place is empty. I'm a "boiling crab is the best that exist" person but this place was very good. Service was nice and the place is clean. We ordered blazing claw shrimp, popcorn shrimp and garlic Cajun fries. All the food was delicious and you can't go wrong with 5 dollar drafts. Definitely a spot I'd come back to if in the mood and not wanting to wait 2 hrs to be seated elsewhere. I'd recommend!

Bones in salmon and they give out sporks as utensils. Really they do.

So, the garlic salmon had a ton of bones in it. The menu doesn't say that it does have bones. Thought it was an honest cook oversight. Server/ manager (the only person there) came to our table and told me that all salmon at restaurants have bones in them. Could you imagine how a yelp elite member felt hearing that ? Like I've never had decent salmon at a restaurant. So, the condescending attitude was its own thing, she didn't bother to replace it, apologize, or anything. I can't wait to pass by one day and see this place long gone.

This is our second time and it was just as fantastic! The staff is so amazing! We were helped by both Thi and Melissa, who were both knowledgeable and so friendly! The food is fab! We had the boil the first time and the second time we decided to try some of their a la carte items. The Salmon was delicious and came with rice (use the sauce over it, trust!) And salad. We also had the calamari and the fried oysters and the sweet potato fries. All great! But our absolute favorite was their fish tacos. We highly recommend! read more

An absolute hidden gem.. we ordered 2lbs of the peeled shrimp in their blaze sauce (can't remember the exact name) and it was amazing.. this sauce makes them stand out from other places I've tried.. we got the medium which was pretty spicy.. service was great and incredibly friendly.. 10/10 recommend and can't wait till we go back! read more

This place is a little hidden GEM!!! Our server was Melissa and she was very attentive and fast. It didn't take long to receive our food or drinks. I ordered a mango margarita, coconut shrimp, garlic cajun fries and egg rolls. Everything was soooooo good and fresh.. food was piping HOT in the best way possible... Food Is always great when i come , been here 5+ times i come and the food is always great ! It is a new Hidden banger in the Norwalk area , And honestly I believe this place deserves more attention ( althought i want it to stay lowkey) BUT Happy hour tuesday-thursday all day on food items and Alc beverages!, Service is always great super nice waiters yes the staff may be low , but it's understanding cause its new, they do there best on serving everyone there to obtain a great visit ! Ok so I ended up here today by default . If it wasn't for navigation I would have never stumbled across this place . Any how, I don't know if its new, but it's a very nice establishment. Prices are reasonable, & food was delicious ! I'm use to kicking crab, that's like my favorite crab boil place to go so I'm use to their flavors, but trust & believe this place did not disappoint . My 3 year old damn near ate the whole basket himself talking bout " ummm mommy that's good " lol I also ordered a pound of shrimp mild with the blazin sauce & it was PERFECT ! Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because we were never checked on, never asked if we needed anything . Today was our second visit here. Food was great our family loves it. One thing we really liked is how good of a server Melissa is. She was our server both times and she was really working hard. Both times they were very busy and understaffed but she just got it done. To the owners or whoever runs this place, Melissa is one hell of a server I usually don't leave reviews about servers but this was needed. Don't be fooled by the location , it's hidden but it's definitely a gem ! I would highly recommend giving this place a try . My bf and I are pretty picky where we go get cajun boilers , and this place hit the spot . Not to buttery/heavy or salty . Great food and you can't beat their prices . They are quick to take your order and checks in with you to make sure if you need new gloves, ketchup, limes, etc. You can veto choose your 1) Seafood, 2) Flavor, 3) Spice level, and 4) Add-ons. We ordered "hot" for our boil, we did ask for our bag to be sent back for a little more spice:: and they did add the "super hot" which was still great flavor, just not super spicy compared to other crab boil spots we have been to. But the flavor was very very good and still had the spicy .. but now we do know we can even go up a level which we will do the next time we come back! The entire place was really clean! The one suggestion I would make is that they do need better napkins.. like paper towels because they just give basic small napkins and it isn't nearly enough. Other than that.. loved it ! We will be back !

We decided to try this location since the Fontana one has always been amazing. Unfortunately, the experience here was disappointing. The service was lacking despite there being only one other table besides ours, we had to wave and call out just to get someone's attention. I had to let the "manager" know we were ready to order because no one checked on us. When she finally approached us, she came off as defensive rather than helpful. The food was okay, but the sauce was watery (which is a personal preference). Our sodas were flat, and when we mentioned it, the response felt dismissive. Overall, the service really missed the mark. We'll definitely be sticking with the Fontana location from now on. read more
