So we were in the area and were looking for somewhere good to eat, and The Blazin Claw popped up, so we decided to give it a try. It's located in a shopping center, so parking was fairly easy, which is always a plus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very open and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we arrived, the place was pretty busy. We were seated right away, but it quickly became clear that they were short-staffed. One woman appeared to be handling all of the tables, I'm assuming she was the owener, and although she was doing her best, she was clearly overwhelmed. More customers kept coming in, and you could tell some people were getting frustrated while waiting to order or pay. We were patient and understood she was working hard. Once the food came out, it was worth the wait. Everything we ordered had really good flavor. The garlic Cajun fries were delicious, and the garlic shrimp noodles were one of my favorites. We also ordered Combo #2, and the snow crab legs were actually a really good size. The gentleman working in the back, who I'm guessing may have been one of the owners, came out and was helpful when we needed something. Both he and the woman seemed to be doing everything they could, but the restaurant definitely could use more staff during busy times. My only food critique would be the sausage, it tasted more like a regular hot dog, and I would have preferred a real sausage link. I also wanted to order melted butter for dipping but never got the chance because things were so hectic. Overall, the food was flavorful and satisfying, and I can understand why this place is popular. If they improve staffing during peak hours, the experience would be even better. I would go back if i'm in the area.

Our first time here and our server T was so helpful. Customer server was amazing. The food and Cajun fries was delicious. The recommendations for the sauce was delicious too. My family and myself will be back. Thank u T.

Norwalk's best shrimp place for sure will definitely recommend, customer service Here is great quick very friendly and helpful. I've been coming here for years because of their great quality of food, excellent customer service led by Thi, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is always fantastic when there's a Dodger game playing on their TV.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of their food is amazing, but I consistently tend to order their Blazing Claw Combo #1 spicy, with whole shrimp, mussels, clams, and extra potatoes, along with a side of steamed rice. This meal feeds about four people and costs me $62 with tip. Stop by and enjoy their food, and Thi will take good care of your party.

I love this place! And yes, I have had the others! The young lady and gentleman that run this place are so hard working! We always come here when we are craving shrimp in a bag. It was the first time I saw this placed PACKED! Yes the service was a little slow but because it was only two of them! We didn't mind! We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters; they were fresh and tasty! We also got two pounds of head on shrimp (mild, blazin' sauce) no extras, garlic noodles, and the lemon pepper garlic fries! I got a lemonade and my bf got a Michelin ultra on draft.

Ordered here getting my son his first shrimp boil for his early bday celebration. The ordering was easy and straight up. It was ready in good time packaged right and still hot when we got home. The shrimp were a really good size nice and plump cooked perfectly. The potatoes were soft and seasoned well. Corn was soft and the sausage was pretty good had a smoky flavor. Garlic flavor was on point I asked for. O spice but I still got a nice lil punch in the end sometimes Perfect! Even when I was done I couldn't help eating the sauce with garlic. The prices were really good. Compared to other places and you get a bit more than others. We both enjoyed our dinner and will be back for more.

I am not sure how this place is empty. I'm a "boiling crab is the best that exist" person but this place was very good. Service was nice and the place is clean. We ordered blazing claw shrimp, popcorn shrimp and garlic Cajun fries. All the food was delicious and you can't go wrong with 5 dollar drafts. Definitely a spot I'd come back to if in the mood and not wanting to wait 2 hrs to be seated elsewhere. I'd recommend!

Bones in salmon and they give out sporks as utensils. Really they do.

So, the garlic salmon had a ton of bones in it. The menu doesn't say that it does have bones. Thought it was an honest cook oversight. Server/ manager (the only person there) came to our table and told me that all salmon at restaurants have bones in them. Could you imagine how a yelp elite member felt hearing that ? Like I've never had decent salmon at a restaurant. So, the condescending attitude was its own thing, she didn't bother to replace it, apologize, or anything. I can't wait to pass by one day and see this place long gone.

10/10 highly recommend! We got the combo #3 with king crab, clams, and 2lbs of peeled shrimp. We added an additional unpeeled shrimp, extra sausage, potatoes, corn and 2 sides of rice. We also tried the garlic Cajun fries and sweet potato fries. This fed 5 people. The owner was super sweet she made sure we had everything we needed. She offered us bibs, gloves and a whole container of napkins. The ambiance is laid back and relaxing. I will be back again to eat more! The Cajun flavoring was phenomenal!!! The location is hidden behind some of the major buildings facing the street, be sure to head towards Milagros and it'll be in the middle of the parking lot.

The service was great and the restaurant itself has great room and they even have a wash station to wash your hands after you go crazy on the food! There's TVs that show sports and events if you want to come eat and watch some games! The food was excellent I've had seafood like this before but it was very salty but here it's not salty at all! The sauce is very good and savory I will be coming back here again this place is definitely recommended in my book! read more

The asian lady was the most rudest person ever! she made my dining experience horrible. she had the worst attitude ever and she never even checked up on us on how we were doing but yet they add tip to the total? unbelievable. the food was soooo overcooked and had almost no taste. i'm so disappointed i spent my money on this establishment. read more

Place is by far wayyy better than the crawfish spot up the street. Its a little tucked away but definitely worth dining in or taking out. Sauce that they use for the shrimp! id say give it a try for yourself! read more

Great place to hang out and eat! I came here during their grand opening and it was honestly so good! The interior space is hip, lots of TVs, good music. The Cajun sauce with the shrimp, crawfish and mussels were so delicious! I don't eat Cajun seafood often but I do recommend this place. read more

My family showed up and sat down, then 2 families showed up. The lady did not get drinks for us, did not ask if we were ready to order and ignored us for 10min. When we asked if she was going to come over to take our order she told us in a minute. She began to cut sheets off paper to put on the tables, but only folded them and was making a pile. She finally came over and we showed her the coupon we received from the City of Norwalk in an attempt to have people support local business, and she became upset. She then began to tell us how we were going to get out 3lbs of shrimp and what flavor. We told her NO, that's not what we wanted and she said that's what the coupon was, and i asked her to show me where it said anything like that. She quickly said "well it should have said that, and that is the only way she will honor that coupon". So of course we left. Ended up at another shrimp place on Firestone and Pioneer... Great place, service... Unfortunately we will never go back and i can see why no one wants to work there, horrible person. read more

I'm unsure of what happened, but it seems like the recipe changed. One of the best aspects was their sauce, it used to be one of the best I've ever had. It just doesn't taste good at all anymore, absolutely bland. Really sucks because I really really liked this place. Some of the shrimp was overcooked to the point of mushiness and they changed the sausage they use. The previous sausage was so so so good, real andouille for sure, now it tastes like some massed produced sausage from Costco or something; idk not happy with it though. Anyway, I used to really love this place but doesn't look like we'll be coming here anymore. Service is always great, servers and owner are always kind and welcome, accommodating and such. Food just fell off its course. read more

The foods amazing but their customer service is what keeps us going back! Melissa & Janette are both very friendly & helpful! We visited in the evening with our 3month old and they had their patio doors open, Melissa was considerate enough to offer to close the doors so it wouldn't be too cold for the baby which I was extremely grateful for! Their sauce is actually spicy compared to similar restaurants I've tried before they've definitely had the best spice, their micheladas are also very good & my son loved their mango smoothies! Would totally recommend it to anyone! Prices are fair especially with everywhere being so expensive these days their pricing is very decent! read more

Food was really good. I placed an over the phone order & the lady taking my order was super patient & sweet. Overall the service was perfect. Going to pick up my order was super simple, the restaurant was a little tricky to find just because it's all the way in the back BUT I paid & was given my food with ease. The overall atmosphere was great, i really liked the restaurant. Next time i'll dine in. The food was good & there was a good amount & the medium spice level wasn't unbearable but had a good kick Definitely will be returning, this place is so dangerous to live this close to ! Arrived at 7PM on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. Reviewed Yelp reviews prior to coming and was drawn in by o promotion they had, buy 2lbs of shrimp get 1 free. The promotion was printed on the menu and it was from someone else's post a weeks ago. So when we arrived, the establishment had a digital design in the window which also promoted the buy 2lbs of shrimp get 1 free. When we were seated, we were told to scan the QR code to view the menu. Again, the promotion was also reflected on the menu. However, when we ordered we were told the promotion no longer existed and was for a limited time. If that was the case, then why do you advertise it in your window and on your menu. This is false advertisement to get customers in the door. If the promotion ended, then remove it from your advertisement and menu. This review is strictly for the false advertisement. The food was good and prices were fair. Note, their sauce is very different from Boiling Crab, so don't go in expecting something similar. read more

4.5 stars Cajun garlic fries were bomb. Raw oysters were huge but weren't amazing. Crab fried rice had fresh shrimp but also hard pieces of shell. Blazin' sauce was very tomatoey and not spicy. Good but not really my cup of tea. Next time I will just get garlic butter or lemon pepper sauce. Crawfish was very fresh. Corn and garlic bread were good. Sausage was ok. Overall, the food was very fresh, the space was clean, and the service was friendly. I plan on going back to try other menu items. read more

This place needs better service. Sat down at 5:50, no one came around to take our drink order until 6:10, then we finally got our drinks at 6:30. That's 40 minutes of sitting with absolutely nothing. Then when the beer came (ordered a tower) you could tell the tap needed to be changed. Decided to just order a different beer the next time around. Good price for the food. Tastes pretty good, no comparison to boiling crab but for the price it's a good deal. read more

Sauce is amazing me and my wife loved it . Way better then any other spot . If i didnt drive by would never know it is in the back of the norwalk square . Sauce is so thick and get it on every bite . I placed an order for pickup and was really disappointed with the service and food. The shrimp came out super dry and had no flavor. Spent around $70-$80. I called in to let the on duty manager know but she couldn't accommodate to me, because she had to reach out to her manager first. read more

Price is affordable food is decent I never write reviews or inclined to write a negative review until I came here last Friday I ordered my food at 803pm as I was leaving work from la and got to the restaurant around 830 food was not prepared which was fine since they told me it was coming out. As I continue to wait another 15 minutes I haven't been offered any water or just completely disregarding me so I kindly asked for a refund because I had to go pick up my son but they kind of refused letting me know it's getting wrapped up. Yea customer service is absolute dog water. :)) read more

The Blazin' Claw was actually pretty cool although empty pretty empty for a Thursday night. It was also pretty clean. I've been reading reviews from other yelpers that the eggrolls were so amazing, however when I went there were okay. I went during happy hour so the appetizers were discounted by $1. I ordered the Cajun garlic fries and you get a decent amount for the price. I also ordered crab fried rice and it was so bland I just couldn't eat it. My boyfriend ordered a pound of shrimp with the blazin sauce and a xxx sauce(ghost pepper) on the side and I must say that was the best part of the meal. It really packed a punch in flavor. The xxx wasn't spicy but it was flavorful. I would go back just for that. But overall it's a good place to try and it's not crazy expensive especially if you go during happy hour! read more

We had the Blazing Crab combo #2 w/ Snow crab, Shrimp, and Crawfish. It was very yummy. I was surprised how big the crawfish were to. Everything was made just right. Staff is friendly and attentive to your questions. Don't give up trying to find. It's behind the main strip mall by theater. read more

The shrimp boil was definitely not what I was expecting. It was lacking flavor, it tasted like pure garlic. It was served so hot and it took a while to be served. Also the tv was so loud. read more

Just thought to drop this really quickly. Today we decided to try "The blazin claw" for the first time here at the Norwalk town square. So delicious I purchased extra to go, the garlic bread was scrumptious and the michelada was exquisite! 10/10 recommended. Come out and get your Louisiana style seafood in a bag the flavors were delicious, support this local business, ask for "Thi" she provided such great service. Bring the family and enjoy! read more

We decided to try this location since the Fontana one has always been amazing. Unfortunately, the experience here was disappointing. The service was lacking despite there being only one other table besides ours, we had to wave and call out just to get someone's attention. I had to let the "manager" know we were ready to order because no one checked on us. When she finally approached us, she came off as defensive rather than helpful. The food was okay, but the sauce was watery (which is a personal preference). Our sodas were flat, and when we mentioned it, the response felt dismissive. Overall, the service really missed the mark. We'll definitely be sticking with the Fontana location from now on. read more
