Wow. This is probably the worst Q I have ever had in my life. I got the fries with brisket and shredded cheese. Wow! It was like they left it in the oven about 3 hours too long. I couldn't believe it. It was completely inedible. The brisket was so hard and crispy all throughout. I never give one star reviews but I just can't help it this time. It was awful. Sat at the bar and had a great meal and great service as well. Started with an appetizer of pork rinds and they came out hot and cracklin'! Very good and a nice start to our meal. My husband and I ordered the 3 meat platter and selected sausage, brisket and ribs. Sides were baked beans, potato salad and hushpuppies. Everything was delicious but the brisket was a bit dry. I loved the mustard bbq sauce and my husband was a fan of the classic. Potato salad was like I make which made me really happy since I'm a bit picky about potato salad. I've never liked hushpuppies but these were pretty darned good. I happened to eat half of our order which probably didn't make my husband too happy - he thought they were all his. Also ordered the So Co Peach Cobbler for my birthday dessert with a scoop of huckleberry ice cream.....yeah, we didn't love the cobbler. Sorry to say. Ordered a shot of something from their special drink menu...Rumchata...cinnamon whiskey (not Fireball). I'm a big fan of cinnamon toast crunch shots but this tasted different. My wife and I had a long day visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We pulled up to The Blu Pig restaurant dusty, tired, and hungry. They found us a table and jotted down our order within five minutes. After looking over the menu, I had to order the fried catfish po'boy sandwich with thick onion rings. The catfish fillets were thick and paired perfectly with the ancho-chile mayo and pickle, onion tomato, and lettuce. I loved the crispy golden coating on the extra thick onion rings. This was only $15.95! I paired this with a local beer called Squatters Hazy IPA at 5%. They went together wonderfully and we ended up buying a six pack of that beer at the local gas station. Even though this restaurant looks a bit touristy on the outside, it has authentically good food inside. read more

We were in Moab for a few nights and thought we would give this place a try. Very good wings and appetizers. Our server was great!

We shared the Big Nasty Fries, perfect cheat day comfort food. Air conditioning fresh and cool. We are looking forward to trying more from the menu. Service and smiles abundant. Blues music in the background at easy listening levels. Excellent find in Moab. read more

I hate giving such a poor review, but this dinner sucked. Not only did it seem the staff did not wants us there, the service was so slow. We waited to be seated, then waited 10 minutes just to be acknowledged and get WATER. And it was not that busy. My jalapeño margarita was gross. It was as if they put a few pickled jalapeños from a jar in and poured the juice in as well. That said, my pulled pork sandwich was delicious, as were the onion rings. It was worth the wait for those. But several others in my group ordered the Tri-tip and it was so red and chewy they couldn't eat it. The little they did eat made them sick the next day. On our last night in Moab, my friend and I decided to grab dinner with some live music at the Blu Pig. Surprisingly, the place was really busy for a weeknight; and we discovered there was a 20-minute wait to be seated. (Pro tip: No kids? Head to the bar in back; there's table service, less folks during the dinner hour...and that's where the music is). Bottom line: we enjoyed our time here, discovering yet another place we should have visited earlier in our trip. Good food (I had an excellent catfish po-boy), decent vibe (if a bit crowded); And a great beer list. My only complaint was the service, which was a bit spotty, partly because one of the bartenders was new. We also enjoyed good music. Though the Blu Pig typically features blues, our night's entertainment was man & woman duo covering roots rock and folk songs. Not my core music genre, but they were really good, so we lingered a little after finishing our dinner. If we didn't have an early drive the next morning, we would have stayed longer. I didn't have high hopes for barbecue in Utard but I was hopeful of something that resembled BBQ. Wanting 12oz instead of 8oz of meat I ordered the 3 meat combo tried to order just twp of the meats. Apparently they llack a food scale or the ability to do math so I explained that 2 meats x 6 oz is the same as 3 meats x 4 oz. The genius taking my order said he didn't think they could do that. More importantly, "they were very busy back there". If You sell meet by the pound, you probably have a food scale, but I digress. Corn bread- flavorless and dry. If you're going to use a mix guy's, use jiffy because at least there's lard in it. The slightly reheated order was presented henceforth: Slaw- probably on day 3, flavorless Gumbo- Worthy of consuming and actually served hot but probably only because it was sitting in a crock pot Sausage- flavorless and barely smoked. I can get sausage way smokier after 2 hours on my pellet smoker. Served room temp Brisket- dry, flavorless, zero smoke ring. Honestly, I think brisket this crappy would take some effort to produce. Served room temp If this place actually owns a smoker, someone needs to show them how to use it. I've yet to find a decent meal in this town. Even the Pizza Hut is subpar. read more

The visit didn't start off well. We were seated and forgotten for about 15 minutes while we watched 3 other tables be seated and drink orders taken and filled. Being in Utah, you'll witness how bizarre their drinking rules are. The bar has to have a door to separate from the dining area, and alcohol can not be served in front of children. We thought the restaurant was closed at first because it was a bit late, but turned out the bar was still open and was serving the full menu with tables! My hubby enjoyed their Texan burger and their sweet potato fries were pretty good! I got the wings and they were overfried and that was a disappointment. However, their gumbo was surprisingly hot and savory! There was also music playing even in front of a small crowd later in the evening while we enjoyed our dinner which was cool. Stayed across the street and the hubby wanted BBQ. Had the Philly prime rib sandwich, which was okay but the amount of prime rib on the sandwich was small. For the cost I wouldn't have it again. Burnt end pieces of the prime rib 8 oz was 25 bucks. A little steep for my pocket. Jumbo smoked wings were the normal size we get at home so not sure where the jumbo comes into factor. Came to dine post-covid. I appreciated the measures they took to make guests feel comfortable. Hand sanitizer upon entry, they seated parties separately from each other and all servers wore masks. Food was tasty. I'm not typically a fan of restaurant Mac n cheese, but this was legitimately delicious. Sweet potato fries are a must. Pork wings are really just ribs, they fell off the bone and were very tender. Brisket and pulled pork were also delicious, but needed the sauce for that punchy flavor. The sauces were legit. We are in Moab for the weekend and planned on cooking at our campsite only to find out our campsite doesn't have a fire pit for Campers. So we decided to drive into town to see what we could find. We decided to try The Blu Pig because they have a pet friendly patio and we have our puppy with us. The atmosphere is very laidback and friendly. Loved the patio. The food was amazing... And I don't even like BBQ that much so that's saying a lot for how good it was. The staff even brought out a water bowl for our dog without us asking for one. So super sweet! I would have given it 5 stars if we didn't wait 25 minutes before our drink order was taken. That really was the only downside to this place. But I highly recommend trying this place! read more

It's my first time visit here. I saw the reviews for this place was great. I ordered their "signature" prime rib steak and voodoo chicken. The chicken was tasty, sadly a little warm. The steak has 20% of fat surprisingly. (See the picture) I haven't seen a "prime rib steak" has so much fat on it. Most important thing is the food when they sent to our table was "warm". Less than 10 mins our food got cold because the ceiling fan and AC.... The staffs were good after all. But maybe this will be my last time to visit. read more

So I had the ribs. No seasoning. Salt nothing. They didn't put any sauce on them or and it with. The meat had an old reheated pork flavor. Now I call and she's too busy to speak. I suppose they could be short staffed but you just don't substitute old food. I have never had unseasoned pork before but they didn't even give up a salt packet. I'm just really shocked. read more

They seemed to have two servers, one of whom appeared cheerful, but ours was grumpy and definitely brought the vibe down. The food was ok, but pretty dry and tired. The food is, sadly, bland. The meat is cooked well but has little flavor from the smoking or any seasonings, and the two sauces are bland and mild, respectively. The sides are likewise just ok, but again with little flavor. Service was awkward, mainly because the server tonight didn't know much about the beers (for example, calling what turned out to be an amber ale an IPA) and had difficulty interpreting and pronouncing things due to a very thick accent, so it was hard to order, especially any of the specials verbally presented or options for an item. Other tables had the same issue. She made it more difficult for her and the customers by just saying "yes" when people would try to verify something that seemed misunderstood. This speaks to the restaurant's management not providing sufficient training (such as on the beer types) and aids (maybe a handheld chalkboard for listing the day's rotating drafts?) for the language gaps. The bar part of the restaurant is fun, with a few draft beers, lots of canned and bottled ones, and lots of spirits. read more

Life is good again! Live music and good food at the Blu Pig. The Blu Pig always has great barbecue. Today I had to have their crispy awesome wings, and a combo with tri-tip and ribs and crazy good gumbo for the side. The food is fantastic, the service was a little spotty, but that is expected as they hire new people removing up for the busy season. The live music in the bar more than made up for the newness of the server. If I'm heading it Moab I always try to hit the Blu Pig at least once. read more

The tri-tip here is fork tender and melts in your mouth. They've got 70 different beers available. They have fried okra, and it's actually GOOD, which is a miracle for any place west of the Mississippi River. The hush puppies are savory, which goes perfectly with the pulled pork. Our server, Krystyna, was awesome. Areas I think weren't great? The cajun sausage was just OK. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I would pick the tri-tip or brisket over the sausage. Prices are kind of high, but it's Moab, not your local joint. Live music gets loud, so come early or prepare to shout your conversation. Then again, if you like live music, come later. Bartender was more concerned about his TVs than customer service. Hostess was friendly, told me to have a seat in bar area. One table of 6 was in the bar. Bartender watched me walk in without any acknowledgement. He then stood 4 feet from my table while changing channels on TVs. No hello, no "server will be right with you", nothing. To be fair, cocktail waitress tried to stop me on my way out door after 5 minutes; but by then I was extremely angry. I was traveling through Moab in my way to St George and stopped at the Blu Pig for dinner. at 6pm on a Saturday night. I ordered a slab of ribs and coleslaw and gumbo. They took my order and 10 minutes later I was told that they ran out of ribs ( at 6 pm on a Saturday night) I then ordered the bbc chicken as well as Cajun sausage. The sausage was mediocre (little taste) and the chicken clearly had been reheated as the meat was extremely dry (almost impossible to swallow). I tried to pour a bunch of barbecue sauce on the chicken and the sauce was not good barbecue sauce. I have spent time in Chicago Memphis and Austin. I appreciate good barbecue. Starting with an appetizer of 4 Cajun Pork Shanks, fall off the bone tender, a great Cajun sauce covering them. For dinner, a combo of Ribs and Pulled Pork. Both were tender, juicy, ribs fell off the bone, great smoky flavor. Sides were shoestring fries, very good, good standard baked beans, made even better with their sweet bbq sauce added. Had a dinner here because it sounded good and had plenty of gluten free options available. Overall impression was that it was ok. We were seated at the table next to the bathrooms which is definitely not the best seat in the house due to the swinging doors. Service was pretty slow, but the place was packed. We had a variety of things. I had the tri-tip. Definitely not fork tender for me, but I do realize that every piece of meat is different. There are three types of BBQ sauce on the table for you to use, KC, TX and Carolina. The baked beans as a side were really good. Ribs were fall off the bone. Pulled Pork was ok, but personally, I wouldn't order that again. I'd be willing to try the Blu Pig again if I was in town again. read more

I was visiting my girlfriend, her husband, and they suggested we go there we sat at the bar and the bartender was a mess. She didn't comer hair. She never smiled. She was the worst bartender ever I was a bartender before back in the day so I know how to be a bartender, and she definitely was not it you need to replace her quickly, so we move from the bar and Saturday table. The food was Soso. It wasn't anything to really rave about, but the lady that took care of us she was nice. I will never go back there ever bad bad bad. read more
