Went with the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Nice smoky flavor that I haven't tasted in a long time. The house BBQ sauces were a delight, however I wish I didn't use so much. It covered up the delicious flavor of the pork. The lady that served my was awesome! Very southern personality but she was from Moab. This unassuming family owned restaurant really stole our hearts. We strolled in from sick of waiting at another establishment. We were super stoked with everything we found. Yes we did get the foot long mozzarella sticks. Who wouldn't?! The ribs were epic to say the least. They fell off the bone and were perfect. The bartender, I believe his name was Denney in the backroom was a huge help and really fun. Stopped in after a long day of hiking. Place wasn't super busy and we were seated right away. Drinks were a tad spendy, but didn't stop me from having one. Ordered an appetizer to start. For whatever reason, we got it at the same time as we got our main meal. Everything came out pretty quick so not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. My only real complaint is that the food got cold pretty quickly. Outside of that, I did like how smokey the brisket was. Pulled pork was very good as well. Server was quick to refill my water and seemed very nice. I took most of the meal back to my motel room and just reheated it there. I also bought a t-shirt. The one I really wanted was only available in small or XXXL. seemed like all of the XLs were sold out of virtually every style that they had except the one I got...and I think that was the last XL. The food was pretty good, service.... meh. I had the pulled pork and brisket. I'd put the pork somewhere around 3.5 stars as it was very flavorful and served in a good sauce. The brisket was pretty disappointing though. Bland / flavorless "meat" and unfortunately the sauces couldn't revive it. Kinda sad as it looked good - not overly lean with a nice smoke ring. We had several of the 2 Meat Combos at the table. The Carolina Pulled Pork was good, the Texas Beef Brisket was a little dry, but nothing a little sauce can't fix. Don't eat the smoked turkey... Tried this place out because it had great reviews. The food was good but the service left much to be desired. We waited an hour for our food which was brought out incorrectly, with no apology for the mistake or wait. We had to ask for the tables water to be refilled, ask for ketchup and BBQ sauce which was never brought to us. Being in customer service myself I understand mistakes happen and there are busy times. The server was "in the weeds" She waited on the table behind us first (they were seated after us) We both ordered salads with our meals, we received our drinks and several minutes later a different server brought out our food and quickly walked away before we could let them know that we didn't have any silverware to eat with We had to flag down our waitress to let her know that we didn't receive our salads, had no silverware to eat with and my food wasn't hot, it was hardly warm. She proceeded to say "I'm really sorry but I'm waiting on 5 tables right now" seriously... I've been a waitress and 5 tables at dinner time isn't bad. We could see the other tables that she had and none of them were big parties There was a table of 14 people next to us and their waitress was awesome!! After a day of hiking at Arches, we were tired, dirty, and starved. We didn't want to sit down for dinner, so we ordered takeout, to take back to our apartment. Great choice! My second time here, I got the 12oz prime rib. Medium rare. With sweet potato fries and a house salad. The waitress Jauana was a bit rushed and pushy to get the orders taken. Sweet lady though. The cost of beer is just plain sad (but this is Utah so it's expected. $7 for a 12oz bottle of Uinta Dubhe Imperial Black IPA. And it's a Utah beer as well! :( read more

Excellent food and service. The last 3 years we've come to EJS we've eaten here several times during the week and have never been disappointed. I don't know what happened here. A few months ago we came here and the food and service was spot on. We came back into town this past week ranting and raving about how good the food was and brought friends along to try it out. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! All of our dishes were terrible!! To say the least!! My daughters fries were severely under cooked more like blanched. We had a total eight separate dishes and every one of them either was burnt, dry, under cooked and the flavor was just off. Super glad non of us got food poisoning. The only positive thing about going to the restaurant was our wonderful waitress, if it wasn't for her fun personality and kindness it would have gotten one star.
