Visited on a weekday evening around 5, pretty quiet before dinner. Our waiter was not wearing a mask which made our party extremely anxious and nervous especially him being so close to us. The wings, pretzel bites and beer were delicious. The burger patty was pretty thin/ dry, it kinda tasted like a Sonic burger which is very OK. The Korean BBQ nachos were gross and I couldn't even finish them because the flavor was awful. Idk what I was expecting but that was not it. Overall I would come back for the pretzels and wings during their Music Trivia Night on Wednesday. read more

Windy day, so we sat at the bar which is our preference, but we could still enjoy the view and the breeze. 5 stars - beer selection is top-notch 5 stars - friendly service from the bartenders 3 stars - food (enjoyed the pretzels, didn't care for the Korean nachos, but that's okay, we'll order something different next time) 1 star - bartenders not wearing masks at all We weren't there at HH, but they have specials. If we walk in a place and the staff are not wearing masks, we leave, politely, and try the place another day. Not sure why we stayed, liked the atmosphere and the open doors/breeze, I guess. We should have sat at an outdoor table, less risky. We will be back and we'll sit outside, or maybe at the bar if the bartenders decide to wear masks. If you get a drink from the server, make sure you inspect your glass. I drank an old fashion and half way through the drink, I cut my tongue because the glass was chipped. The server was adamant the glass was not chipped when served. They offered to pour the rest of the drink to a new glass but never did. I am okay with the re-pour as long it's guaranteed there are no glass debris in the re-pour. Fun atmosphere. Was there for karaoke which was very funny to watch and listen to. Drinks were good their cocktails are definitely on the sweeter side but a great place to try new drinks. Visited the brass tap, at the Harbor in Rockwall on their opening day. The ambience and decor were very nice. We ordered a cheeseburger and fish and chips, both turned out perfectly. We had four different beers from local breweries. Our server was extremely friendly, the owner came by to say hello, and there were no issues on this opening day. I will be back again. read more

The wife and I decided to give this place a try seeing how it is only 5 mins from the house and we had a fun time. It was a rough start as we couldn't get a server to come to the table for 15-20 minutes so ended up going to the bar and met Dalton the bartender. He was fantastic and knew everything we had questions for from food to drink. Will definitely be returning to see him. The food, service and establishment need some improvement. Wow! What a horrific experience. Waited for over 1.5 hours for appetizers to hit the table. This was our second attempt to let them redeem themselves from our first bad experience. Won't be back. I advise you to keep walking past. No communication whatsoever, asked for manager, never bothered to come talk to us. Didn't state that their kitchen was backed up at the door or when we sat down if that was in fact the issue. Server was little to no help with no empathy. What a joke the whole experience was. The Brass Tap is the perfect place to watch a game. Tex was an awesome server and took great care of my wife and me. Checked on us at the perfect intervals. Last week we sat at the bar and Jordan served us and was great too. This will be our staple for college football on Saturdays. The owner, Rhythm, is interactive and welcoming. We waited 3 hours for food tonight, not a single manager came to explain or apologize for the wait. We enjoyed being there for our family and friends but the service was horrible. It would have been more acceptable had we even been approached by management, oh and half of our party was told the kitchen was closed and they couldnt even order. We walked in and we're not greeted by anyone or directed to seat ourselves or anything. Which was whatever, we just walked to the patio ourselves. Service was great. Beer selection was great. Atmosphere was great. Food took an hour to be served and the restaurant was only 2/3 full, not very busy at all. The food was sub par. I got the brisket grilled cheese and there was barely any brisket on it and what brisket was on there was very dry and 50% pure fat. Fries were cold with zero salt on them. Kitchen cannot handle the volume a place like that should be doing. This restaurant will not last due to the competition in the harbor and all of them being significantly better than the brass tap. read more

This is from a very disgruntled customer: I haven't posted this in a few days because I didn't want to say things out of anger but as I continue to reflect on my experience at The Brass Tap over the weekend, I feel as though I need to share this. I called on Tuesday (9-22) to reserve for a party of 20 people for my birthday and the guy I spoke with took my name and said that was okay. They said we will be able to have "two of the high top tables that can sit 10 each by the bar" We arrive day of, didn't get both tables like they initially told us... which is okay, I get it- they are a new bar & were probably more busy then they expected... We were still able to eventually claim enough tables and chairs to accommodate our entire party. A few minutes after being there, an older gentleman that was very nice but obviously drunk approached my friends and I and offered to buy us a round of shots...which was great, AGAIN, he was really nice, just very intoxicated.. he was a fun guy that continued to walk around the bar throughout the afternoon and mingle with various tables and other customers..(I'll get back to this point in a minute) The rest of my party arrived and we continued to order drinks and food which was all SUB PAR. There was ONE TIME during the Cowboy game that a server came up to us and asked us to stay in our seats, & we did after that. Then, during the game one of my husbands friends got excited during a touchdown and briefly stood on the booth with his foot on the table... which was not appropriate AT ALL, but it happened ONE TIME while the whole bar was celebrating and excited, & it was a one time occurrence that lasted seconds ...shortly after this, the bartender Jordan decided to abruptly cut us off & when I asked him why he said it's because our party is "too drunk and standing on the tables and won't sit down"... (now back to that gentleman) the whole time we were there he clearly had WAY more to drink than any of us & continued WALKING around the bar buying random people drinks, & he never cut him off or made him have a seat....hmm... So we go to close out our tabs and a waitress approaches us asking to take our order because the manager said we weren't cut off... so we order, and then she comes back and says sorry the manager said yes but the bartender said no... at this point I'm so annoyed, so we all close out our tabs..& at the very end before we walked out, one of my best friends asked the waitress if there's any un paid tabs and she said NO. So we all decide to go next door to Sideways. Shortly after being there the bartender from Brass Tap AND A COP show up to our table saying we had unpaid tabs at their bar and we needed to pay immediately or there would be arrest made. Are you joking?! Long story short, they said we "owed hundreds of dollars" when it actually was $80... and again, this was after we asked them before we left! Although everyone paid we still took care of whatever this "mysterious tab" was. It was so embarrassing... but it was also disheartening because I've lived in Rockwall my whole life and I've never experienced this type of treatment or service at a restaurant or bar. I don't want to play the "race card", but unfortunately I am sickened to think that my husband, who happens to be a black man, and at least half of our party there was as well, had something to do with the disrespect we received. This is sickening to me. Brass Tap was VERY unorganized and poorly managed... DO NOT GO THERE. Not here to fight about it but here to leave an honest review. read more

Great place to sit in or outdoor , enjoy a craft beer some sides and a burger the flat breads and burgers are quite good , reasonably priced. Good beer selection.
