We ate here 3 times during our 13-day stay in the area. It was one of my favorite places. The location has some great views of the lake, and it has quite an interesting menu. On our first visit, I had the Beet and Feta Salad with Grilled Salmon. It was fantastic, and one of my favorite meals of the entire trip. The salad was extremely fresh, with greens from local farmers. It was the best lettuce I've ever had, and when I tried to find out what kind it was, I wish told it was spring mix. It didn't look like any spring mix I've ever had, but it was such sweet, delicious and crunchy lettuce. The beets were also great, with both red and golden varieties. The salmon was cooked absolutely perfect. My dining partner got the Duck Confit Tacos. He did not care for that for a number of different reasons. In the first place, it should've been served on a different type of plate, as it was very messy and most of it was falling off the very narrow plate. He doesn't like a lot of mess. It likely would have been better had they left all the toppings off, to add them as you want them. There was way too much on top of the duck, which buried the taste. It was impossible to pick up, and very difficult to eat with a knife and fork. Plus they added too much cheese, and he doesn't like cheese much. It was not a dish he would order again. On our next visit, I had the Seafood Linguine. It came packed with fresh seafood with lots of mussels. It was a very generous portion, with plenty to take home for another meal. My partner had the grilled burger, which he quickly devoured. He said that was one great burger! On our next visit, we stopped in for a late lunch. It was a dreary, rainy day, and the weather was on the cool side. So we opted for soup. My partner got the Clam Chowder and I opted for the French Onion. They both hit the spot. My partner loved that burger so much, he ordered it again. I opted for a Grilled Veggie Sandwich, which was not as good as my salad choice a few nights earlier, but it was OK. All in all, we enjoyed all three of our visits here. I'd be happy to return again when in the area. read more

I took my family of five, and while the menu was ok for options including vegan, the execution was inconsistent, leaning toward poor. Two burgers ordered medium were instead cooked well done, and a veggie bowl with rice was served with the most poorly cooked rice I've ever seen in a restaurant. It was a solid bowl-shaped mound of gummy rice mush. And when I asked if there was a non-dairy alternative to the naan it should have come with, I was told no but I suspect the waiter just didn't want to ask. The restaurant itself was nice enough, but we were seated near the bar, which was noisier than I would have preferred. (Mostly from the very chatty bartender) I'm sure they would have preferred being told at the time, but I wasn't interested in sending back 3 out of 5 meals. But eating out has gotten too expensive to accept meals that poor. It was $190 with tip for five. (No alcohol, but 3 mocktails) My son liked the Thai salmon. read more

Very mediocre. Food has that "Sysco" vibe that reminds me of chain restaurants. My burger was okay (cooked more medium-well than my requested medium), my fries a little soft. My other dining companions all got fish dishes that they said were decent enough, just kind of boring/bland in the flavor department. The service was very prompt and the waiter was nice and attentive. The decorations seemed more like knick knacks from home goods or target, and made it seem like I was eating in someone's condo. I don't normally care a ton about ambience but the place could use some more authentic lakes region decore. When going out to eat these days costs so much, it feels bad when you feel like you could have eaten better at home. My experience at this restaurant wasn't bad but I doubt I'd have a reason to return. read more

Our server, Erika, was so sweet, attentive but not over bearing. She's a gem. The atmosphere is loud. It's a bar crowd. And they were noisy. Think beach bar feel. We almost couldn't hear each other across a small table. Decent wine list. They had a Prisoner Chardonnay $14 and Unshackled Cabernet Sauvignon $13. I got an Oberon Sauvignon Blanc for $10. The crab cake appetizer for $18 came with two burger-sized crab cakes, a peach salsa that was the star of the show, and a dill remoulade sauce. Enough to share. However, the texture was like moist breadcrumbs, similar to falafel, and we saw no crabmeat. It was seasoned to taste like seafood, but the crab didn't show up to the party. My husband got the Tuscan filet for $43 and said it was tender but not medium rare as he ordered. It was definitely medium. I got the seafood saffron for $32 that came with two medium sized scallops, 3-4 medium shrimp and a few small pieces of lobster. I saw a few shorts threads of saffron but the sauce was sweet! Not coconut sweet, but sugary sweet. I thought it would be sherry based like a light Newburgh sauce, but no. I'm not keen on sweet seafood. I thought a lemon or sherry based light sauce would have complimented the scallops and lobster better. Sorry Breeze kitchen staff. I have to be honest, but hopefully kind. The food was plated beautifully. You set out cloth napkins. But we can't see coming back for a long while. That was our anniversary dinner. $137.91 plus tip. Swing and a miss. read more

Not the place to go for a romantic dinner or for a conversation with friends - the noise level is very high. Food was okay. We ordered a bottle of Rainstorm Pinot Gris. When it arrived, the waiter opened it (screw off cap), but the bottle didn't look quite full. I pointed it out to the waiter and asked if he could feel the seal break as he opened it. He said he did. I was not convinced. I should have sent it back. We didn't stay for dessert. read more

This was our first time here. Our waitress, Deanna was beyond polite and friendly. Due to a food allergy, I could not order what I wanted at first, but Deanna made it happen. The chef even altered the recipe for me. I was so very impressed by their accommodating nature ! Food was excellent and the Italian lemon cake was superior! We will be back! A bit bummed that the legendary Lakeview Tavern is gone, but got to admit the Breeze did a nice job with this space. I'll never forget what I don't remember from nights shooting pool, throwing darts, and deleting light domestics and tasteless fried food. Breeze by the bay has a nice ambiance. The wait staff was excellent. I ordered a whiskey sour, and it came in a pint glass with lousy ice machine ice that melted in seconds. We gotta work on our presentation of cocktails if we are going to present ourselves as high class dining here folks. The food was very good and tasty and they have a nice menu. The Breeze By The Bay opened up in Meredith in October 2024, formerly Sunshine & Pas, located a block away from the town docks along Lake Winnipesaukee. The original Breeze in Gilford is still open too. This renovated restaurant and bar offers a cozy casual dining atmosphere serving up a variety of sandwiches, appetizers, soups, chowders, salads, and dinner entrees (seafood, chicken, duck, steaks, filets) at moderate prices. The place offers a full bar with several beers on tap, wine, and cocktails, seating up at the bar and table seating on the main dining room floor and chairs in front of the fireplace. I stopped by for dinner at The Breeze By The Bay after work. Since the place was busy on a Friday night and I requested to be seated at a small table in the middle of the dining room since most seats at the bar were occupied. I quickly decided on food after glancing at the menu, which is the same as Gilford. For a starter, the Fried Oysters ($15 plus tax) came out very hot, which had 8 or so deep fried battered oysters over pickled red onions & red cabbage with a spicy remoulade sauce for dipping. For dinner, the Panko Encrusted Haddock ($22 plus tax) served with jasmine rice and buttered fresh asparagus was a great choice. The good sized piece of haddock filet was soft and flaky and "to die for" as quoted by another diner enjoying the same dish, sitting at the next table. I actually saved some remoulade sauce to dip some of the haddock for a spicy kick. After I finished my food, I passed on the offer for dessert, in which no desserts offered were actually made in house. They did offer an apple gallette with ice cream on special a week before, which I would've likely ordered. The check was $40.16 with tax and before tip. Overall, the fried oysters were very good, though I wished the portion was a bit larger. The haddock entree was fantastic with good portions. The service here was adequate despite the place being very busy. The Breeze whether in Gilford (lakeview) or Meredith (no view) is a great choice for lunch and dinner close to the Lake. read more

Great and friendly service. Just ordered the artichoke dip appetizer so far and it's fantastic. Also had fried haddock sandwich and a crab club sandwich would order again. Crab club sandwich had good portion with big pieces of crab. The haddock sandwich came with lettuce, tomato and pickled onion. I recommend holding the tomato and pickled onion next time. I've had great food and service from The Breeze By the Bay previously. Unfortunately this time, I'm disappointed and a little mad. I ordered takeout - 3 salads - add steak tips. The cost of adding the steak tips to the salads ($12+) and the amount of steak we actually received do not align - I may have gotten 1 sliced up steak tip per salad, at best. They were good, tender, cooked to order... Certainly not worth the price paid. read more

Our first visit- we were greeted & seated quickly for lunch. Our server Mackenzie served us water & drinks with a smile. We ordered the octopus appetizer which was tender with toasted bread and seaweed salad. The chicken wings app were crispy and had a spicy rub. Tried this relatively new restaurant in Meredith. Big mistake as the best steaks in the area are at Canoe but we wanted to try someplace new. I will say the Cabernet was fabulous and one I had not had before but my steak ordered rare arrived as medium well so the server put in for another. We waited and waited and waited. The server did not come back but a manager came by and I told him my dilemma. So he went looking for my steak. This one, I am sure, had been sitting under a warming lamp most of the time I was waiting as it was far from rare but I ate my veggies and took the steak home to use as training treats for my dogs. I have not been back since I know I can get a fabulous RARE steak at Canoe. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant clean but it is a joke that they refer to it with a lake view - more like a glimpse between the trees and buildings across and down the street. read more

The manager was rude, however the bar service and bartenders were great. We went on Friday early evening, 4 or 5 girls chatting at the desk completely ignored us. If you go, sit at the bar. We had one drink and went to Giuseppe's and it was great. Would not recommend unless you can find a seat at the bar. read more

First off the restaurant is rustic, cozy and welcoming. The french onion soup was delicious, the filet mignon sandwich was outstanding and cooked just the way I asked. My wife had spinach salad with grilled salmon on top and was delicious. We went to the "new" Breeze a few weeks ago for lunch when my wife and I were in town for the weekend. We regularly go to The Breeze in Gilford and really enjoy it. We had another great experience at The Breeze By The Bay. They did a great job renovating the inside which was bright, welcoming and fresh. The bar looked cool looking out onto the street. Behind the bar were large garage doors that they open when the weather is warmer which is a cool touch. Usually I sit at the bar at The Breeze in Gilford but this might have to be my new spot! We sat at a table and were quickly greeted by our waiter. He took our order and our drinks arrived quickly. I got a beer and my wife got a mixed drink which she thoroughly enjoyed. We then got chicken tenders as an app and I got a burger and fries for lunch with my wife getting a BLT grilled cheese. The food was delicious just like the Breeze in Gilford. The fries were tasty and my burger was cooked perfectly. We ate during lunch time so I don't know how busy it gets at night but regardless we will definitely be back and I would HIGHLY recommend The Breeze By The Bay to anyone looking for very good food in the Lakes Region. read more

This is a pretty restaurant, fairly recently renovated. The bar is great - open windows looking out across the street to the lake. But it is a really loud place, so don't look for an intimate dinner here. Our dining experience had pluses and minuses. The service was less than stellar. Our waiter delivered our meals and didn't come back to check on us for so long that we were nearly done eating. And I had long ago finished the drink he brought me when we sat down, so I would have appreciated some water. The food was a mixed bag. The clam chowder we shared as a starter was excellent. Smoky, creamy, and the pieces of potato and clam were perfectly sized. My husband had the evening's special - halibut on a salad with corn, red pepper edamame, and some kind of seafood (waiter didn't mention it but I think it was lobster). Anyway - this dish was perfect in every way. A little expensive at $48, but there was a ton of food on the plate, so I think it was worth the price. Sadly, I decided to try the blackened mahi mahi, and couldn't eat the meal. The dish was way spicier than I expected and just too hot. The green beans had way too much garlic and were inedible. And the dirty rice was overly spicy too. And since the waiter never came to check on our meals, I ended up just leaving it and eating part of my husbands's fabulous dish. When he did finally come back, he did offer to get me something else but it was too late. They did take my meal off the bill though. And the dessert made up for my meal - we got the Lemon Italian Cream Cake and it was soooo good! So overall, I'd go back I just wouldn't be so adventurous in my ordering next time! read more

The meals are ordered were well prepared and ready in a relatively short time. The server was attentive and pleasant. After we were served, she came by our table to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. The restaurant was clean and well kept. So this is a tangled web, atmosphere is amazing your server (Lexi) was fantastic. Dry rub wings as an appetizer were very tasty. Wife got the packo haddock, not a disappointment. I got the filet sandwich which was melt in my mouth good. But here comes the other side, they hands down have the most terrible French fries. They try to sell it off as "new" oil, but that's not here nor there. But Lexi addressed it immediately and in the end, I will recommend this establishment, the spicy margaritas I strongly recommend. read more
