Lovely space and wonderful service. I ordered a single pancake and machaca with fries. Traditionally, machaca is prepared with rehydrated jerky-like beef that softens in the juices of tomatoes and onions and is then fried with eggs. Most places now make it with just stewed shredded beef, but here it was prepared with chopped up thin slices of beef, and lacked seasoning. However, the twice-fried French fries were some of the best I've ever had. Worth the upgrade. Pancake was a generous size, but had a gluey texture. I had a few bites but left most of it. Think I need to order some of their more popular dishes next time I visit.
I've been here a handful of times now but after today, it cementede opinion of this place for breakfast. This place is among the best breakfast spots in the area. I'm a big country gravy guy and always felt like their gravy was special. I found out today that their gravy is homemade, which explained why it tasted so good. Add that stuff on anything and it will be delicious. Gravy love, aside, there menu is pretty expansive but not overwhelming. You'll get your usual stuff like pancakes, waffles, Benedicts, omlette, and. scrambles. They cover a lot of items and I'll definitely be back to try more, especially their crab cake Benedict and patty melt. I'm particularly mad that I forgot my server's name, I do remember she had teal streaks in her hair. She was probably one of the nicest servers I have ever met. She was helpful with explaining the menu, made sure we were good on condiments and refills, and was the perfect amount of fun and professionalism. Breakfast spots but seem like a dime a dozen but in this economy, you gotta set yourself apart from the rest and this place definitely does just that with their food and service.
Cute little restaurant in Newark, looks family owned. Walked in on a Tuesday morning with my momma. Got sat down right away. Servers were really polite and friendly I got vanilla latte and was really good. My breakfast was good I got simple bacon and eggs. Mom got chilaquiles and said they were really good too. Decor inside is cute and love all the plants
A friend and I were looking to meet for brunch in the Fremont area, and found this place on Yelp. This place is in a big complex of other businesses, and they just have a small sign in front, so it was a little bit hard to find! The parking lot seemed pretty busy on a Sunday morning, but not impossible to find a spot. I walked in and saw people waiting, but we were able to get a seat right away. They have a large menu of breakfast and lunch options. I got the Santa Cruz Scramble which was pretty good. I like how you can get a pancake on the side instead of toast. The breakfast boards looked interesting, enough for a couple people. They were good about bringing more coffee and water. I did feel like they were trying to rush us out a bit after awhile though I get this is a busy place.
I came by this spot because my friend was next door. The outside of the building looks small, but when I stepped in, it's actually pretty roomy. The lady who greeted me was super nice and energetic. I ordered their banana cream matcha and their strawberry cream matcha. The banana was really good. Not too strong or overpowering, just a nice hint of banana. The strawberry though was a bit of a disappointment. The strawberry flavor overpowered the matcha and it tasted a little too artificial for me. But the food looked really good. I'll have to come back to try some next time I'm in town.
Came at 10 am on a Wednesday, had a random 2 hour long lunch break, so decided to come to breeze not only because of the reviews but I was in the mood for some brunch. The restaurant itself is in a nice plaza with plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean and looks like they had bar seating as well. On their special menu they had their strawberry matcha which I'm already a fan of, but this strawberry matcha is my favorite in all the area so far. The avocado toast was also very good, the red onion on top paired well with the avocado and cherry tomato, the fact it came with 2 eggs as well also justifies it as a meal in itself. I also ordered the half order or at this restaurant "fun" size I think Is what it said on the menu, of the tres leches French toast. It's also my favorite French toast because it's not overly sweet like some other tres leches' that I've had, the strawberries tasted very fresh too. The side sausage and bacon were good also however, the side link sausage it's not as greasy or salty as other places which I enjoyed a lot, because although it seems like hearty food it didn't feel heavy at all. Hope that Breeze Cafe stays around, bring everyone here. TLDR; awesome food, great service, try the strawberry matcha, and tres leches French toast
If you're looking for a brunch spot that expands on breakfast standards and has a great caffeine bar, then this is the spot. You'll find the inside of the restaurant pretty unassuming, with a little photo op area, with the seating area not being anything too fancy or upscale. I had croissant French toast, and chipotle breakfast skillet, a banana matcha and an ube latte. The drinks were very good, with the matcha being just gentle enough to play well with the banana cream. (Although this matcha might not be great for those true matcha fans who enjoy strong matcha) The ube latte was all very good but definitely on the sweeter side. I also found it very odd that when you get the ube latte, you are asked if you want espresso in it? (Latte: a traditional Italian drink made with espresso and large quantity of milk) As for the food, the quantities are all a good enough size to fill up most peoples appetite. The croissant French toast was amazing! It really is a one of a kind experience. The chipotle skillet was also very good, it didn't feel too heavy or greasy, which is always a concern with dishes like that. The only gripe I had was that you had to wait a while to get seated and then depending on your server, it may take another while for them to get through all the tables ahead of you. So be prepared to wait if you go on the weekends. Still, this cafe is definitely worth the try once! And maybe you'll find something on the menu that will make you want to come back again and again. Like the croissant French toast ;)
One of my favorite brunch spots to go to in Fremont! They always have the best drinks - we got one of everything for us all four to try. The even have champagne but we did not get that today. I got spicy chilaquiles with eggs and it was great. I wouldn't mind if it was spicier! The service was quick and they have a cute photo spot too!
Their orange juice is extremely delicious! Loved their pancakes and country potatoes. First come first serve, and food did take time to come, so plan a little bit for the visit. Staff were really helpful to keep us posted on the order along the way! Good ambience & can click some great pics.
Tasty brunch option with lots of options for foods and drinks. I had a delicious veggie omelette and my friend had the crab egg Benedict and enjoyed it. I want to come back and try their pancakes. These seemed popular among the groups there. Service was speedy which help me get back in time for a work meeting.
An excellent breakfast cafe. Have been here several times and each time, their breakfast items are excellent. Went with a friend and shared their Monkey waffles and their Corned Beef Benedict with Country Potatoes. Good sized portions and both very tasty. Very nice interior for families, business meeting or even a date. They have a unique seating area for couples that you will see in my pictures. Staff was excellent. Parking is free. A great breakfast place for you to try.
We came in on Thursday morning. I've been here a couple of times before, and their staff and service are always excellent. They weren't busy yet during our visit, so we were seated quickly. We ordered chicken 'n waffle, steak & eggs, and iced mocha. The portions were generous. The food was delicious and filling. I was craving chicken and waffles, and their chicken 'n waffle definitely hit the spot. The chicken had great flavor, crispy, and was seasoned perfectly. The iced mocha was okay. It needed more coffee flavor, but it was a great partner to the waffles. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to The Breeze Cafe. Inside was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The Breeze Cafe is a great brunch spot.

Fantastic brunch place in Fremont! The service is great and the space is incredibly expansive so easy to get tables for big groups. I got the veggie skillet and cookie butter latte and they were both great! Definitely recommend for brunch if you're in the area :) read more

Ran into this place looking for some matcha and decided to give it a try! It's pretty hidden and the sign doesn't give too much away that it's a restaurant but it has a packed menu. We got the banana matcha latte, New York scramble, and the ranchero steak and eggs. The Banana Matcha Latte was really creamy and delicious with the wafers on top, would definitely order this one again. The ranchero steak and eggs were really good! Charred beautifully, juicy, and decent in portion. The chef did its job by cooking at the temperature I requested for but the dish was a bit too covered in the sauce. The sauce was amazing however it was just drenched in everything that I'd ask for it on the side. The New York scramble was okay, the salmon was a bit salty but it didn't ruin my dine in experience whatsoever! The ambiance is a little dark, I wish there was more of a bright welcoming lighting but it looks like this place hasn't been opened for too long to consider any renovations. The service was extremely accommodating and kind as well. I would love to try more of their menu and explore around! They had very unique options. read more

Stopped by with a friend to grab a bite at this Cafe. I will have to say from the outside it is hard to find the sign is black with white faded lettering (recommend they change sign if they want more customers) We both had a difficult time finding the location. Once we did we ordered the The Breeze board for two breakfast platter, it was very impressive and delicious! Highly recommend ordering if you have a craving for a little of everything. We then proceeded to order the avocado toast and asked our. Waiter Victor, (which went above and beyond to accommodate our needs)if he could split the the toast. We were impressed with the service provided by all staff. Food and the Ambiance, if you want to gather for Breakfast, Brunch, and be able to converse, this spot sit right. Always a good time having brunch and the Breeze Cafe. This past visit I went with my partner around 9:30am on a Saturday and we were seated right away. Depending on what time you go, be prepared to wait for a little. I will say, you are able to sit at their bar area to get served quicker, or you can order something to drink while you wait for a table. As for ordering, their coffee drinks have always hit. This time I got one of their specials, the banana latte and it was really goos. You can actually taste the banana in it. I've tried the ube latte and the biscoff one before and all have been really good! Now the good is also excellent! I'm a Benedict type of girl, so Ive tried a few different ones they offer and they all have been delicious. The portions are always great, I feel like I walk away with leftovers most of the time haha. My partner always gets their chicken fried steak and he really likes how they do theirs here. Always a good place to stop by for a nice brunch! read more

The food was so good and our waitress was very nice and attentive! The place can feel small and cramped when it gets packed on the weekends. I recommend making reservations in advance if you have a larger party. It was only my partner and I and we waited about 20-30 minutes to get a table. Otherwise the drinks and food was so good! We will definitely be back. read more
Been here a few times. The place is small and there is only 1 bathroom. If you need to get somewhere fast, this is not the place to stop in. While there are a few staff members walking by, I am told only one server takes orders. I was irritated being told that when minutes later I see the same person take someone's order. Service could use improvement. The small glass of fresh orange juice for $5 is not worth it. The eggs Benedict is good. The Chilaquiles not so good. The meat omelette was good and only comment is it could use a little more eggs. Hashbrowns are good. The chocolate chip pancakes is soo good. Beware the syrup is low grade. The food prices are reasonable, just stay away from their fresh orange juice machine gimmick. I probably would go back, but only by request of a friend. read more

My party of 3 came in on a Sunday afternoon around 12pm. The wait time was around 35~ mins, but we got seated a little earlier in 25~ mins (I still suggest coming here a little earlier if you want to be seated faster) After we ordered, it was around a 35 min wait for our dishes to come out, which was longer than we expected. Service was good and although very busy, the servers were also very nice. I asked Dani, one of the servers, if she could take a polaroid for us and she got straight to it! It ended up looking great, and I appreciated that she was familiar with this type of camera. My party got the Breeze Egg Benedict w/ Hashbrowns (7.5/10, flavorful but a bit on the salty side, hashbrowns were good), Ube Waffles (7.5/10, slightly dry but good Ube flavor), Healthy Omelette w/ Country Fries + Pancake (9.5/10 for no egg yolks, it was really delicious) and Banana Matcha Latte (8/10, I liked the banana flavor but it was pretty sweet and milky). My favorite dish had to be the pancake. It was your ordinary pancake but the spongyness of it soaking up the syrup and whipped butter made it so moist and delicious, and satisfied my sweet tooth for the day. Was sat down almost immediately upon entering. Server showed up also fairly quickly to take our drinks as well as returned promptly to take our orders. The place was super busy and bustling when we got there, so I'm surprised we were tended to so quickly. The food was what took the longest wait, reasonably so. And boy was it delicious. Waiter came by once to check in on us, which is my only complaint. Granted I had an iced ube drink, but my water cup was not refilled even once. Bill came out totaling about $60 for both plates and two iced ube drinks with the added espresso. Ube drinks alone were roughly $10 each while each plate was about $20. Money well spent because it was delicious. Will definitely come back. Cute little place with yummy food and good service. read more
This place is in a nice newer plaza with lots of different stores to check out. The parking lot can get really busy but overall has a decent amount of parking. This restaurant is nice and clean inside, I was greeted as soon as I came in. For the menu there is a QR code on the table to scan for the menu and then there is a weekly special menu on the table. Our server was really nice and approached for our drink orders right away. Our drinks and food came pretty fast. Food presentation is beautiful, and the food is pretty good. Mexican Omelette: 9/10 Santa Cruz Scramble 8/10 Bread Pudding French Toast 10/10 Ice Ube Latte: 10/10 Michelada: 8/10 Sangria: 9/10 I liked the food but the hash browns and breakfast potato I wasn't too crazy about tasted a little old as like if it was sitting on the grill for sometime. Came here for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived around noon and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. There were 5 of us and a toddler, who slept in his stroller for the first half an hour of the meal. We had the stroller against our table and it blocked part of the walkway. They were really nice and didn't make us move it, even though it was probably a bit of a hazard. But when he woke up, we had him sit in his high chair and moved the stroller away. Anays the menu is pretty large and extensive. It took us awhile to decide. I settled on the Santa Cruz scramble. Others around the table got like the meat lover's omelet, tres leches French toast, corned beef hash, steak and eggs, and pancakes. I feel like we tried a bit of everything and there is something for everyone, I think. Though I don't know that I was a fan of my Santa Cruz scramble. It was a bit bland, even though it had a red salsa on top. Portion size - wise - it was huge and I was able to ate ¾ of it and was stuffed. Most of the entrees came with potatoes - either country potatoes or hash browns, and toast (white, wheat, sourdough, etc). Or you can upgrade the toast for pancakes or French toast or other things for a small extra fee. I got hash brown and wheat toast with mine. Hash browns were yummy. It was one piece of wheat toast, cut in half, was buttered. No jam on the table and maybe I could've asked but no one really came to check in on us after we got our food. Pricey meal - we did a couple of drinks also. It was about $30 per person out the door. Also since we technically had a party of 6 (with my toddler), so they added the 18% gratuity. Located in a big strip mall, it was quire busy on a weekend but we dind't have trouble finding parking. Spaces are super tight/small though. read more
Came here on around 8am on a weekday. Cafe was not busy at all! This place was cute but comfortable! Had lots of booth seating which is nice. Our server was really nice and he seemed ready to take on the day, which is great! (Sometime in the mornings, some people can be a little cranky, but definitely not this server!) The food.. fantastic! Came out quickly and the portions were pretty big! Everything was really good and loved the amount of options they have for breakfast! Located inside a plaza with a parking lot. Came here for brunch on a Saturday. There were a few empty tables and we got seated quickly. To see the menu, there's a QR code at the table and they have a menu with specials. The food came out pretty quickly. We ordered: - chicken and waffles: the chicken was very crunchy, moist and flavorful! It would've been way better if it was boneless. The waffles were okay, came with butter, whipped cream and maple syrup. Wish the waffles were a bit crunchy. - monkey waffles: the dish seemed simple but it came with lots of toppings including bananas, chocolate drizzle, powdered sugar and whipped cream. Great sweet option for brunch. A solid place for Mexican fusion brunch with lots of food options! The place is aesthetic and nicely decorated. The food is good quality and quantity for the price point. Would def come back to try other items such as the tres leches French toast, meat lovers omelet, quesadilla, chilaquiles. Didn't have a chance to try their drinks but they look delicious, especially the matcha and ube drinks. Will try them next time! read more
The Breeze Cafe has potential but needs to work out some staff issues. The food is a 9/10for me. Really good flavor on the Waffles and the pancakes. The huevos rancheros were decent ( I would rate them a 7/10). The only miss was the salsa on the Huevos Rancheros because it was.like the store bought chip salsa. The drinks we ordered were hot chocolate, orange juice, coffee, and an iced ube latte. The ube latte was good and the orange juice was fresh, however the coffee was nothing memorable and the hot chocolate was like any other. Our biggest concern was the amount of time it took for the whole process. About 15 minutes to be seating, then about 30-40 minutes to have our order taken, then another long wait for the orders to trickle to our table. Mind there weren't many customers seated upon my arrival. I believe the problem is they might be understaffed. The staff were friendly and did welcome us initially. I saw our waiter trying to buss tables, host, and serve food and drinks while also providing checks and taking payments. Beware if you are not patient or if you do not have the time to wait. came here on a whim while looking for brunch spots in the area and very glad we did! the atmosphere was so nice and our server, viviana, was SO nice! there's this cute bench/photo spot and as soon as she called us over she offered to take our photo, but we opted out because i don't think we could've fit haha. viviana was so friendly and helped us out with the food and was so bubbly, it was contagious. the service was speedy, attentive, and the music was nice too. we genuinely had such a good time. now about the food.... it was AMAZING. viviana helped with the drinks and while waiting for the ones we ordered, she asked if we liked strawberry matcha. my boyfriend and i agreed and boom, there was these tiny glasses with strawberry matcha samples! although i would say the drinks aren't as good as the food! as soon as the food was place at our table we were FLOORED. the spread was so pretty and the attention to detail was great. we ate it so fast. my favorites were the sausage which was so flavorful an juicy and the pancakes were sooooo fluffy. thank you the breeze cafe!! will definitely come back soon! read more

I enjoy coming here for brunch, and my coworkers have loved coming here. The environment and ambiance is very comfy with attentive service, as the decoration has a calming effect on you. Verdant green and white is a good combo. I ordered the side French toasts, which is a blessing considering I like to order sweets but not too much. I got an egg scramble and it hit the spot. The eggs, complented with the veggies and ham tasted very well. The peach Bellini was from a previous time I went with my coworkers and it was alright. Could be served on a champagne flute but then that's just aesthetics. read more

Not sure why the rating was so high. Our items took about 30 minutes to be brought over to our table. The items we ordered were pretty meh, except for the tres leches crepes which was good. The eggs Benedict with the crab cakes was pretty oily and just okay. The eggs, mushrooms, and sausages was just okay as well. My son waited for his toasts for like 10 minutes. Everything was super slow. It wasn't that crowded at that time either. I would not recommend. For those prices, there are much better brunch places. read more
I had Breeze Cafe bookmarked ever since they opened, but didn't get the chance to try for a long time. Came on a weekend for brunch and the wait was about 30 minutes in the morning. Surprisingly the experience was disappointing, and I feel they are overrated. I remember seeing that they were known for having various breakfast boards for brunch, and was looking forward to try. However they changed their menu so that there were only a few options. I opted to try the Denver Omelette with hash browns and the Breeze Skillet with toast instead, and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was pretty good and seemed Mexican inspired. The Breeze Skillet was decent and I liked the caramelized onions, but it seemed a bit salty. The Denver Omelette was a letdown, as there was too much cheese and the other ingredients weren't able to balance out the saltiness and heaviness of the dish. The food also took a really long time to come, and service was practically nonexistent as we had to flag people down to ask for our food. I've tried brunch places and for the amount of time I waited, I've definitely had better brunch food elsewhere. read more
Dropped by on a Sunday noon for brunch/lunch with a friend! We were seated quickly and got some waters to drink while we looked through the menu. Waitstaff were incredibly kind and patient! My friend and I ended up ordering a Maserati Omelette with hashbrowns and sourdough toast and a Tres Leches French Toast. Everything was solid! The portion sizes and tastes were good. Given the amount of food and how everything was tasty, the prices weren't bad at all. Would definitely consider coming back! read more

The Breeze Cafe is one of my fav places to get breakfast in the East Bay. They're always busy, so the earlier you go on the weekends, the better. My favorite thing about them is they have "fun sized" portions. As someone that doesn't eat a lot & hates getting left overs, this is half the portion & a lot cheaper than the normal priced one! It definitely makes eating out a lot more affordable. Their service is really good and the food doesn't take too long to come out. I got the fun sized breeze that comes with 1 egg, hash browns & and a full sized biscuit covered in a gravy w/ bacon bits. Honestly, hit the spot. My boyfriend got the fun sized carnitas Benedict and it's his new go to. They're in a plaza so there's tons of parking. Will for sure be coming back! read more

Came on a Friday afternoon and luckily didn't have to wait--everything absolutely hit the spot! Oreo Pancake - Our server (who was super sweet!) recommended this and OMG it was so good. Crispy on the edges, melty Oreos inside, and just the right amount of sweetness. Topped with powdered sugar, whipped butter, and served with syrup and cream. Couldn't stop eating it! Breakfast Quesadilla - Hands down the best I've ever had. Stuffed with eggs, sausage, bacon, and cheese, grilled to perfection and served with golden crispy hash browns. So satisfying. Carnitas Skillet - Huge portion and packed with flavor. Potatoes, sautéed veggies, carnitas, cheese, eggs, and fresh salsa all layered together. Comfort food done right. Banana Matcha Drink - Creamy, lightly sweet, and super refreshing. The banana + matcha combo is amazing--definitely getting this again. They also offer half orders on dishes like their Benedicts, which is perfect if you want to try more things! Shoutout to our server for the pancake rec--it was seriously the highlight of the meal! read more
The location works for me in which I could get a quick breakfast. They offer your usual lattes and all the classic breakfast items such as chicken and waffles, pancakes, and Belgian waffles. - monkey waffles: 3.5/5 - so yummy, can't go wrong with nutella, banana, waffles, and whip cream but not anything special - breeze benedict: 4.5/5 - i was craving eggs benedict but i was also craving steak and eggs and this had tritip in it!! it was perfect and i would definitely come back here to try their other eggs benedict - iced cookie butter latte: 5/5 - i'm craving this right now as i'm typing this the biscoff cookie was so good dipped in the whip cream - strawberry mimosa: 3/5 - pretty good, but i think i shouldve listened to other reviews and got the rose gold one i had to ask the guys working at the front for our server's name because she was busy when we left, but her name was maribelle (i think that's how you spell it) and she was extremely kind and friendly! she was very attentive and even got us extra syrup/sugar for our drink bc my gf thought it wasn't sweet enough haha. give her a raise!! the interior was so adorable and very trendy, it was cozy and pretty at the same time! when i sat down in the booth i was a little startled at first because the seats were sooo cushioned and comfortable. should definitely give this spot a try, i'm surprised it's not as big as the breakfast club or bills cafe (unless it is then idk) read more

Dined here on a weekday morning around 10. The restaurant was full, but we were seated right away. We've been here twice. Our first visit, staff was incredibly friendly, and were even friendlier our second visit! I was craving a breakfast quesadilla, and this SMASHED the spot. Came with a side of sour cream, hashbrowns, and fantastic house made salsa, but I enjoyed most of it with the Cholula I requested. They offer a large variety of hot sauces upon request. My breakfast guest enjoyed the Chilaquiles Verdes. The food presentation is consistently gorgeous. A couple families came in after us and ordered the breakfast boards and I immediately got fomo because they looked breathtaking. Definitely coming back for a board and an Ube latte. Everyone seemed so happy. The vibes were immaculate. On our way out our server insisted on taking our picture in their Instagram nook near the entrance. She was so sweet and attentive. Last minute decision to get breakfast at this cafe! The cafe is cute and minimal. Servers and hosts are welcoming and friendly. They have a variety of foods and drinks! I really enjoyed the soup of the day which was Clam Chowder and cookies and cream pancakes! I would definitely recommend the pancakes. Fluffy and it was perfect! read more

This was my second time at The Breeze Cafe, and I was really impressed again. I tried the ube waffle, and it was honestly so good -- moist, flavorful, and perfectly paired with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. As someone who grew up with ube, it's always exciting to find it done right, and they definitely did! The ambience was cozy and welcoming. Everyone around seemed to be enjoying their food, and the overall vibe was really nice. The staff was kind and attentive, greeting us warmly and checking in throughout. Tried out Breeze Café recently, and I have to say, it was a solid brunch spot. I ordered their veggie eggs benedict, and it totally hit the spot. The dish came with perfectly poached eggs sitting on top of roasted veggies--bell peppers, mushrooms, and caramelized onions--topped with a generous amount of creamy hollandaise sauce. The yolks were runny just the way I like them, and the veggies had a nice char that gave the dish a rich, earthy flavor. On the side, I got crispy hash browns--golden on the outside, soft inside, and not greasy at all. Honestly, one of the better hash browns I've had at a café in a while. Everything was well-seasoned and came out hot and fresh. The vibe of the place was casual and clean, with simple wooden tables and a relaxed atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly--my food came out in good time, and they checked in just enough without hovering. Overall, it's not trying to be fancy--it's just good food done well. If you're in the area and craving a satisfying brunch that's not too over-the-top, Breeze Café is worth a stop. I see vegan options listed as amenity on Yelp, anyone know if they offer actual food or just fruit?
i asked the same thing, and they said they have salads, and they can modify any dish on the menu for you, but i believe they said they don't have any gluten-free dishes
Can the restaurant accommodate outdoor seating for dining with fur babies?
no outdoor seating.
Do they take reservations?
No they don't. After 9 am, the place gets busy until after lunch
Can they accommodate a party of 6?
Yes. Our party was 3 but the table next to us had 6 people and babies.
Do they accommodate vegetarians for their breakfast boards?
They do! I would ask them beforehand though, by calling in or asking upon request for alternate options :)
