Casual family-run old school diner with plenty of breakfast and lunch options, and excellent service. Clientele is exactly what you want to see at a diner: elderly folks, construction workers, post-church crowd, etc. I ordered half portions of the onion rings and biscuits and gravy in addition to my the Works Crepe. When the crepe came, I thought I might have accidentally ordered a half portion as well, since it was smaller than I expected, and served on the same size 8" plate as my other half portion items. I was able to sub salad for potatoes and it was tasty. The other items were fine, and the gravy needed more seasoning.

I ordered the French toast with fresh berries and walnuts. I have to say...the French toast was DELISH. The bread they used is amazing! Kind of like Japanese bread. The berries and walnuts make a yummy addition. I had eggs and extra crispy bacon on the side and they did it to perfection. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich to go. This was also yummy but would be perfect with a pickle on the side. I will definitely go back again and bring the fam. Please go and check it out if you have time....oh and they take reservations!

Our food also arrives pretty fast. The server is always kind and attentive. They even bring out other options for us to try - this is in terms of the salsas and drinks. The food portions are great. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone that loves a great breakfast and service.

It has the old school dining vibe. It's right next to the Home Depot. You know this is good service when I ask for the coffee and the waiter brings in the coffee and a glass of iced water without me asking. The ultimate omelette is excellent. It's delicious and the ingredients are fresh.

This place was super good! I got the works crepe and my boyfriend got the breakfast burrito! The inside is super cute with holiday decorations and perfect weekend breakfast spot! Our server was awesome everything was straight forward! Definitely will be back!

We ate at My Cafe on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was very busy, but there's plenty of seating so we didn't have to wait very long. Service was decent for it being so busy. We both got All American Classics (breakfast) which is meat, eggs and 2 sides. I got a pancake and breakfast potatoes. My food was lukewarm but the pancake was good albeit a little hard to cut, probably because it was lukewarm. I wasn't a fan of the potatoes because they were cut too large and there was some seasoning on them I didn't much care for. All in all, it was a solid "it's okay" but not a place I'd go out of the way for.

Literally live less than 5 minutes away from here but have never tried it. Finally got our chance to taste their food and it was decent. Major take on everything primarily needed a bit more salt and pepper. I know some places just don't season their food that great but a bit more goes a long way. No complaints on the service and staff. Super friendly and attentive. Since there's only a 5 star rating on yelp id have to be right at the middle of anything. During a recent trip to Newark to visit a family member, I decided to go out for brunch on a Saturday. I found the perfect place! My Cafe has a cozy, homey vibe and friendly service--which is always important to me--and the food was fantastic! The most challenging part was deciding which dish to order. I finally went with the Country Fried Steak Benedict. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture before I ate it all! But I did manage to snap a photo of my Mimosa. Next time you're searching for a cozy spot to enjoy a delightful family-friendly brunch with tasty food and a refreshing mimosa, be sure to visit My Cafe in Newark. I wish I lived closer so I could stop by more often!

This was my first visit, and it's hands-down the best breakfast I've ever had. Everything was incredible--from the amazing food to the exceptional service. The fresh orange juice is a must-try! I recommend this place 200%. I'm sad I didn't think of taking a picture of my food but my daughter took a picture of my grandson's.

Didn't know this place was a Mexican fusion until I looked at their menu. Definitely get their churro waffle: its fluffy inside and crispy outside is an amazing treat. The quesadilla I had was okay - tasty but nothing extraordinary. I liked the cozy atmosphere (strong cafe vibe), friendly staff, and strong drip coffee.

Outdoor seating was nicely shaded and comfortable, this allowed us bring our dog with us! Service was quick and friendly. Food could've used a little more seasoning but it's all on the table to add to your liking. Chicken fried steak and breakfast steak tacos. Good community spot! read more

Food is fresh and always consistent. Fries are so good, as well as their pesto chicken sandwich. Chicken is grilled, and perfectly cooked; and it's soft and delicious. I'm not sure what it is with their ranch dressing, but I think it must have some garlic, and it is delicious. Also like their service, prompt and friendly. Oh and their churro waffles and banana bacon waffles. So good. read more

Stumbled upon this place going to my son's frisbee tournament. Asked the waitress what they are known for. She said they are famous for their French toast and Benedict's plates as they make their own hollandaise sauce. I had the sirloin Benedict. The steak was awesome it was very tender and the sauce is perfect. Love this place. read more

My Cafe has easily taken the top spot as my favorite brunch spot! Friendly staff, a familiar & down-to-earth diner environment, and plenty of parking on top of delicious food :) My order: -California benedict with hashbrowns -Crème brûlée french toast combo (bacon + scrambled eggs) There was a generous amount of hollandaise on the benedict, which was great! I didn't see hashbrowns on the menu, but confirmed with our server that My Cafe does serve them. This restaurant was frustrating for the first couple of years after covid, but now they are back to normal, and it's really nice to go there... they are mostly an American corner-cafe type of place, but they have a number of unique dishes that are really lovely, such as Chicken Cordon Bleu Crepe (a truly OMG item!!), CA Chipotle Burger, and others... service is always excellent... definitely recommended! read more

Waldo - Owner and Chef is so funny and friendly! The staff is always cheerful and on top of things. Often, our drinks are ready as we're getting seated. Favorite meals among our group: breakfast sammies, French toast, turkey melt, turkey/bacon/ranch wrap, and the ladies say it's great coffee! Fresh OJ with mimosas is always a plus! Every time we pass by, the diner is full so we always pass. Until this past Sunday. We went on an early hike and was able to grab an early breakfast at My Cafe!!! Finally, I was able to enjoy what I've been seeing everyone else enjoy! Upon entering, you're greeted with warm welcomes from several staff members. They have tables lined up alongside the windows to the right, and the bar stool section to the left. We were seated in the back dining area, as the front section was already full. Which was fine for our table of 3. Lighting could be a tad bit higher in the back dining area, but other than that, everything else was amazing. From any available server coming by, asking if everything was okay or if we needed anything, to our cups being filled with coffee or other beverages that were on our table. The chicken fried steak benedict was great. Crispy batter, sausage gravy, on a flat biscuit, which was too sweet to my liking. I would've preferred it on an English muffin like your typical benedict, but that's my own preference. The French Toast was HUUUGE and totally recommended. Overall, I'd say top service, great food, and nice establishment. read more

This place is an absolute gem. My wife and I have been coming here for years, and it's been so special that they've literally watched our now-2-year-old grow up. Updating that while I'm still not a fan of the country gravy, I've tried a few other things and they were very good. I'm a big fan of the breakfast tacos and their potatoes are so good! I ate this at the restaurant and service was good. Very classic diner atmosphere. I also really enjoyed the drip coffee, it had good flavor. Sometimes diner coffee can be bland or burnt, this was pretty good. My husband enjoys the breakfast burrito still, so quality has been consistent. read more

We ordered a lot so that we could try a bit of everything. Our food came out quickly, and each plate was beautifully presented. While every dish was very tasty, none of the dishes really blew me away. Our server was efficient but didn't smile once. However, Jose, who was preparing the food, brought a few of our dishes out and each time he gave us a huge smile. What we ordered: + Short rib rice teishoku set - Elegantly presented, this was our favorite. The short rib literally melts in your mouth. The soup had a deep fried tofu pocket floating on top. The croffle (croisant waffle) was ok, but not as good as waffle imo. + Chutoro (medium fat) tuna nigiri - a perfect bite. When I looked under the tuna, I only saw about a 1/2 a pinky size of rice, but that turned out to be the perfect ratio. + Mochi waffle - you get your choice of matcha or ube flavor. I chose matcha. This was very good, but didn't get a whole lot of matcha flavor. + Macaroni salad - the weakest dish. It just tasted like your typical macaroni salad. Overall, it's about 4.5 stars. Recently visited MyCafe in Newark, CA for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The place was very lively and bustling with people, so we had to wait around 10-15 minutes for a table. However, the wait was definitely worth it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I had an amazing experience at My Café and can't recommend it enough. From the moment my husband and I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. A well greeting from the owner Osvaldo. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding. Savory or sweet, fruity with ice cream or filling with many different fillings. Many of these come with a nice fresh green salad on the side. We especially like the place because even though they are family friendly, we've never been there when it's too loud to talk normally. Good location right off 880 freeway. Ordered delivery for the first time yesterday and it was awesome! I haven't been feeling well and wanted breakfast/lunch without leaving the house. He got the Chicken fried steak and eggs and I got the French dip (as always) both had special request and mods, everything was on time and perfect! First time actually ordering pie too, WoW!! The food is good. I went there 3 times and enjoyed it every time. I wont go back due to a rude comment from the younger server, I think she is the daughter of the family that runs the place. Too bad cause i liked it better than Beehive or the Divine. Maybe the same owners idk. Whatever, service is just as important as the food. read more

If your looking for a good breakfast place on the east bay this is the place. I haven't tried lunch or dinner yet so i can only give advice on the breakfast. Large portions at a low price. Even the coffee is pretty darn good. I've been here three times now and for now on this is my go to place for breakfast. read more

Had to come in and try the portobello Mushroom Eggs Benedict with Avocado from the specials menu before it was gone. This dish did not disappoint at all. It was a beautiful medley of flavors. I hate holllandaise sauce, but I will only have it at My Cafe because they do it right! read more
