    Italian Sandwich

Checked out the new Ontario location!! Very friendly staff and the best food in the area! The Italian sandwich is enormous and I could only eat half and took the rest to go! The house made chili is delicious, with a glass bottle Coke on the side - hit the spot! I will definitely be back!

It did move pretty fast than expected and service was quick. While my husband and I were waiting, we were reviewing the menu. They had a lot of good choices that definitely sounded good for Sunday breakfast, and eventually I settled on the corned beef hash plate with potato's and fruit instead of eggs. My husband saw the chalkboard menu and chose the kalbi short ribs with fried rice and Mac salad. We also added French toast On the side to share. After placing our order, they let us know what seat number we were seated at and went outside to our table. The outdoor patio was very nice, open spaced and shaded well enough that the sun wasn't reaching us. The seats were comfortable enough and the table space was generous for a party of 4 (I know they had tables for 6 and combined tables for larger parties). When our food was brought out and we began to eat, the food had a lot of flavor. I did pick off my husband's plate and have to say everything he had was very good. I have no complaints about the taste or presentation of the food we got, and would definitely check it out again to try something else.

Came in on Monday morning around 11, which by all the reviews I was expecting a line, but there was only two people ahead of us. You order your food then they assign you to a table. They have so many options to choose from, to savory to sweet. I ordered the loco moco, which was okay. Personally I don't like sticky rice, the rice wasn't good to me. More on the clumpier side. But the katsu was good. The gravy was a little sweet. Overall it was good. My husband had the Hawaiian bbq steak breakfast, I loved it. It was really good. Very flavorful and filling. I honestly loved the mushrooms. Chefs kiss !!! The lava pancakes were super moist and not as sweet, which was really good. I wish they would have put more macadamia nuts for more crunch. Definitely a MUST TRY !! The Hawaiian coffee was pretty decent. Not as sweet. I wanted it to be a little stronger but it was good. They had seating inside and outdoor. Very clean and spacious. Employees kept coming around asking if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Definitely coming back

My only complaint is that they do not post prices on their dinner menú. My wife will not enjoy her food unless she knows how much she's spending, and the server was a little reluctant to leave us with a xerox copy of the menu with prices written in it. Both the Rib Eye and Salmon were excellent, and my wife loved the risotto. We will continue to dine here, as the food is truly delicious.

I was hoping she would take my drink order right away but 2 menus were just placed on the table and she walked away. When my sister arrived a few minutes later, a young man came and asked us for our order. No waters were placed on the table or condiments. 15 minutes later... The brown sugar iced latte was wonderful, not too sweet. I ordered the short rib hash, large platter of home potatoes feta Pico de gallo large chunks of short rib and I asked for scrambled eggs, fabulous except my plate was lukewarm. Delicious tasting, not over salted. I had to ask for water and condiments twice. My sister ordered the crab cake egg Benedict, looked very tasty. No one ever came to ask how our meals were. It wasn't very busy, a few tables had folks at them. Customer service is always key to me. Reasonable prices for the fairly large platters we ordered. I would definitely return but ask for condiments and water when ordering, and ask that my food be served hot.

The mole was delicious but a little sweet even for me after a few bites--I needed more pickled onions; I wish the chicken was integrated with the mole as well (a few chicken breast steaks were cooked, sliced, and put on top. My husband seemed to enjoy the birria omelette even though it wasn't what he ordered. The rainbow pancakes were a neat idea. But no syrup was given on the side and all of the waffle dishes were served with ice cream which was a bit much for breakfast. The vibe in the restaurant was pretty and fun and the service was prompt and pleasant. I would go back to try more. It seemed like someone's passion project that I could get behind.

I remembered this because Iron Skillet has got to be the fastest on the draw in terms of keeping you coffee topped off. I counted in the first fifteen minutes I was there, I had my coffee refilled four times and probably eight times in the span of the forty-five minutes I was there. The only slowdown I saw was when they dropped off the bill. Suddenly after that no one was checking on me to see if I needed more coffee. I guess they figured that I had had enough and were cutting me off. That's a mistake because as long as I'm sitting at breakfast I'm going to want coffee. The second thing I noticed was they have a damn good skillet program here, especially if want to experiment with creating your own. It was something like $15.50 to put in three mix-ins for your skillet, but only $1.50 to make the mix-ins unlimited. This time I kept it simple--sausage, ham, green peppers, and onions along with customary cheddar and three eggs--but next time I'm going to experiment a little. The skillet itself was amazing. The portion was generous, the produce was fresh, and the eggs were super runny. It really is in contention for the best traditional skillet I've ever had. The other thing that could've put it in the running for best skillet overall is if they had some exotic offerings for protein like I've had elsewhere in the country like elk, smoked pulled pork, duck, walleye, or even rabbit. Skillets are good, but skillets with like an animal you don't normally see for breakfast is amazing. I'm still on the lookout for my goat skillet. The service, as aforementioned, was impeccable. The coffee refills is the main thing I complain about other breakfast joints and here I never even had a thought to getting upset regarding that for the first portion of the meal. My only critique as you may have guessed is to continue that generosity and initiative for the whole meal. I really want me to toy with breaking double digits with the amount of coffee refills I receive during a meal. And that's only going to happen if you continue to ask me after you drop off the bill. The ambience is good. It looks like a diner. It quacks like a diner. It's a diner. I felt right at home here with all that space and mix of booths, tables, and counter space. I'm definitely planning my trip back here for that superb Build-a-Skillet and that fantastic attention to keeping the coffee overflowing in my mug.

Most diners and breakfast spots like this have great food but I never like their coffee. This one was solid. I had the eggs and country potatoes with the wheat toast. I wish the potatoes had a little more flavor but the eggs and toast were great. It's a cozy spot and it reminded me of that cool diner from pulp fiction. Be cool, honey bunny, and try the cinnamon roll.
