Highly recommend this bar in downtown Chandler. We were there on a Friday night and this whole area was pretty busy, but we were able to snag two seats at the bar, which was actually pretty nice since we were able to get our drinks quickly and the ambience was fantastic at the bar. The whole place is pretty narrow, so I think best for couples or smaller groups. They have TV's and I really liked their music selection. To start, their menus are super creative. They come out like a little DVD case and inside you will find the bar booklet to flip through. The drinks were laid out with different video game themes and I went for the Save the Princess drink which was peach vodka based and delicious. The hubs had an old-fashioned and the bartender was able to customize it to his liking. The food was in a tapas style, so we tried lots of different things with the coconut shrimp and the pork belly skewers as standouts. After going to dinner with my team at work, I brought my husband and my mom to check out this spot. The food was incredible. Every dish that came out was better than the last. Between the two times I was there, the coconut shrimp, charred romaine salad, pork fried rice, Bahn Mi tacos, French Dip... everything was extremely flavorful and fresh tasting. The coconut shrimp with the mango rice was another great tasing dish! We tried the load potatoes and in comparison to the other two dishes the flavor was just so-so. Lastly we had the apple fritters, it was larger than we expected and tasted great. The amount of ice cream to fritters was a bit shy but they offered an additional scoop and was sufficient. There was good din of crowd and music but no so loud that you couldn't hear each other talk. First time here the restaurant was about half full on a Saturday at 1pm. The food was outstanding - we had the breakfast tacos and the AM stack. However Stefan was our waiter and the service was abysmal. The kitchen seemed short handed and our food took almost 30 minutes. He never stopped by the table to update us on our order we had to flag him down. It was not busy mind you. Our 2 dishes came out 10 minutes apart even though they were entrees not tapas so we had to share. Never once asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything. When I told Stefan that it was a good thing that food was so good since no one stopped by to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything including a refill on the water rather than apologize for the bad service he got all huffy and just turned on his heel and walked away. I am updating my review as we were able to dine at The Brickyard and had a fabulous dinner. The restaurant reached out over our frustrations and they held a table for us. The food was really good!! We had the pork belly skewers and they might have been some of the best I've had. We also shared the short ribs and the tacos. The tacos were good but the short rib was amazing. The sauce is a bit spicy and eating it with the goat cheese creates a perfect bite. We both had amazing drinks and churros to end the night. All fantastic!! We will for sure be back. read more

We have always tried to go here and never been able to due to capacity issues. Finally, on Dec 9th, 2023, around 530pm, we were able to have drinks and dinner. It was the night of the Sippin Santa pub crawl. Our bartender was nothing short of amazing but unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the female bartender with the white, pearl bow tie. She spent over 7 minutes complaining about the "loser pub crawl customers" who kept coming in all day. She literally complained in front of us oblivious to the fact that we were in Christmas pajamas. We were so uncomfortable that we asked for our food to go and left immediately. My girlfriend complained to the manager but she (the manager) simply nodded and said she was sorry. For the record, the French dip sandwich was amazing (and we planned on ordering more food but decided to leave after the 4th time the unprofessional bartender complained about her customers and having PTSD from having to work through a busy Saturday night) but we decided to leave after feeling so uncomfortable. We'll most likely never go back to Brickyard and I recommend you find somewhere else to go when you're downtown chandler. read more

Updated. After the restaurant contacted me and enticed me to go try the restaurant again I am here giving my honest review. Myself and a friend went during happy hour on a Thursday... not too many people I'd say about 10 people total. We sat down got greeted and menus were given to us. I believe it was shift change so it took about 15 min to get food ordered. We were hungry and even debating on staying if the server didn't come in the next 5 min! Menu has been the same for a LONG time. Every visit It has been the same. We ordered the pork tacos, pork skewers, and the mini bricks. Pork was far too salty and the same tasting pork is in the tacos as well. It comes with 3 Mini tacos during happy hour, to add a fourth taco it is 4$!!!! That is a rip off. They are tiny. The mini bricks were tasty... however it only come with 2 tiny little burgers and a mountain of fries in the middle. Our server was friendly. All and all I have it a final try and was generous with the stars given. Brickyard. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR MENU... the choices are outdated, small portions, and just ok. Best of luck! read more

Unfortunately we were severely disappointed with our experience at The Brickyard. My colleague Stewart and I arrived during happy hour and sat at the bar, we waited for about 10 minutes before receiving menus. The bartender placed menus in front of us with no greeting or explanation of how to navigate the drink menu. After looking through the offerings, we patiently waited another 7 minutes before our order was taken. The bartender asked "are you ready?", this caught us both of guard, and we didn't feel welcome to ask for recommendations or ask questions about the menu. It is never a good sign when your dining experience makes you and your dining partner feel like an inconvenience to the bartender. We received our food after about 15 minutes, and it came out one by one rather than all at once like we had hoped. We realized after the fact that this was a tapas style restaurant, but we were not made aware of this by the bartender. We finished our meals and drinks without once being checked on by the bartender. She never took our menus after ordering and we had to move them when our food got there. I pushed them forward to signal that we no longer needed them. She then began making a drink in front of us and pushed the menus back towards us. It was very strange. Once we finally flagged her down to get our check, she provided it hastily (it felt like she just wanted to get rid of us). We paid and left without a word from the bartender. The only good service we got all night was when asking for the check. On the bright side, the hostess was very kind and did a great job. We were also wished well by other staff members as we left. I would like to think that she was just in a bad mood, but it will be hard to justify returning after an absolutely atrocious experience. read more
