We are staying nearby in our motorhome and yelped a quick lunch nearby and chose the Brown Bag. So glad we did, it really hit the spot. And Barbara and Nancy are so sweet it feels like being at a friend's ! I had the sherri and he had the pastrami....delish! I didn't love the dip. But I'm super particular about dips. It wasn't horrible my husband really liked it. But on a search for the beat dip in Coachella valley, this wasn't it, but it's still good. Stopped here after dropping off our 5th wheel to a renter for Coachella. Sandwiches were great! Bread was fresh, and they used Boars Head meats and cheeses, plus the iced tea was fresh brewed. Came here on the way home from a road trip and it didn't disappoint. From the bread to the cheese to the service, it was excellent. You can tell how proud the owners are of what they have created and every bite is delicious. Stop here, fill up, get Lapperts ice cream after down the road. Excellent sandwiches. This is my absolute favorite lunch spot, ever! The sandwiches are so delicious. Our go to's are the Turkey, bacon avocado and the Italian combo. I'm *pretty sure* the owners use boars head which explains the quality of the meat. The bread is fresh as well. We usually finish our meal with whatever cookies they have that day. Found this spot in Yelp too and since we were in the area and hungry figured why not stop and support a small business. They are in a small industrial like area, but easy enough to find. We got a pastrami sandwich on rye add jalapeños (as recommended by presumably the owner) and it did not disappoint. The sandwich alone is $8 and to add a side salad (macaroni or potato) is $2.50. They do offer build your own, but we went with the gentleman's recommendation and we were so thrilled that we did. The sandwich was sooo delicious! For sure worth of eating another one like right now and the potato salad was pretty tasty as well (not usually a fan of potato salad). If you're able to, stop and support them cause they're food is worth it. read more
