When we got there at lunch time at 1pm there were 2 people working. Whom, I'm assuming were the manager and the cook, if that's what we want to call him. If you like a great burger this place is a must. I ended up in here as a back up plan. But I promise every time I'm in the area I'm stopping in. If you like spicy go with the inferno burger. It doesn't disappoint on flavor or heat. As for the fries. They are crack. Get the Vampire fries. Fresh cut potatoes smothered in a garlic butter. Glad I got the basket because my kids killed them. If that' wasn't enough. I was over charged for my meal. I was unaware of this but while I was waiting for my meal to be prepared the guy working the register told me he over charged me and gave me 8 dollars. I guess most people have low standards. 5 times here and not a great experience. If this place is owned by Sparkies, they don't act like it. Was there 8-20-14 dinner The kid at the register is not helping the owner or the customer. I've seen dogs get fixed with more excitement. An up-sell, or advice to people who've never been there before, would help some. I can see okay I guess but the menu above the counter seems a little small and hard to read. The burgers all seemed to be overcooked. When they brought out the orders to our table of 6, they just set down the burgers and walked away. When we asked the kid what was what (Chuck, sirloin, etc) he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. HE WAS THE COOK AT THE GRILL. I paid more for Sirloin. Did i get it? The boys really didn't have an answer. The manager who trained them failed the customer more than the employee. And what is a total sin in my eyes, the bacon was undercooked. I kept going back because many people who eat there love it. We went with loyal customers, they ate the same meal i did and I guess they just taste something that i don't. I think it is only a below average burger. The buns are somewhat fresh. The fries, if cooked right are incredible (I will give it that) and the Onion Rings are even better. It has an outdoor eating area, but I'm not one to chew on a fry while a pick-up truck tail pipe is blowing on my face. It's downtown Milford so, people will continue to eat there because it's trendy. This is a family favorite. We've been here when it's busy and when it's a bit slower and have enjoyed every meal that we've had here. We haven't been here in about a year but came back this weekend on a whim. So glad we did. A bit greasy but....we knew that going in. Loved it! Finally! A halfway decent place to grab lunch in Milford...seriously, this town is really lacking good restaurants. The fries here are really good. Definitely hand cut, fresh, fried just before you get your order. The burgers are pretty decent too. They use ground chuck, which I like. I just got a plain old 1/4 lb cheeseburger and I'd say it was alright. I'd give the burgers a 3 and the fries a 4. Just because they are so fast and the service is so friendly I decided on a 4 star overall. See what you think...its not like there's much else in Milford! read more

I've been here a few times now and just don't find this place to ever been better than average. Staff isn't very friendly and even when I go out of my way to be polite, they don't seem to find the need to reciprocate. The portions are big, especially on fries and onion rings. I'd skip the turkey burgers and stay with beef as the turkey is pretty low quality and seems from a frozen patty by my experiences. In Milford there are a lot of places to grab a burger and I'm more satisfied on service and food elsewhere. Not bad, but far from great. read more

This is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I've tried Five Guys -- loved it. Great Plains Burger Co. (and Krazy Jim's, of course) in Ann Arbor -- loved them. This beats them all. They start with fresh ground chuck (if you're eating a beef burger -- they also have chopped steak and ground turkey, as well as non-meat options) with the 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio. The bun is toasted brioche, and the toppings are fresh and numerous. Then there's the fries -- wow. Fresh cut by hand and fried perfectly crisp. Five Guys uses peanut oil which is a huge issue for people with the allergy. The Burger Joint uses 100% vegetable oil. The salt-and-pepper seasonings are just enough to add flavor without overpowering the flavor and texture of the fries. My only complaint (and it's very minor) is that the jalapenos are fried, and I prefer mine to be fresh. However, it didn't really detract from a great burger-eating experience. read more

The vampire fries are the best. I got them yesterday. As well as the turkey burger, everything was cooked evenly and all the flavors molded together! The staff were friendly and even though i came in 30 mins before close they were still happy to serve us. Definitely going back and definitely going to get vampire fries again. read more

This is probably the place to go to get your food on time nothing wrong never crowded and has a killer burger. They have different varieties if you don't just want a burger. The burger was pretty good, but nothing special. I ordered a side of onion rings that were very good and you get a ton of them, the chipotle ranch sauce was good too. I'm not sure who wanted the burger more though, me or the gang of flies that was surrounding me. I've seen less flies at a Waffle House in the south! The gnats hovering around the ketchup was pretty off putting as well. I really wanted to like this place, we ordered take out for lunch today (we live 2 blocks away) It was awful. I had the prime burger and it tasted spoiled, threw it out. They also forgot the pickles (huge deal for me) Fries were super greasy with a nasty burned flavor, like the oil in the fryer really needed to be changed. Husband had the fungus burger, it was dry and crumbly. Malts & shakes were not frozen, like milk. Onion rings were edible but really greasy. Waste of $30. We won't do that again. read more

This place is a hit or miss on some days it really depends on whos working, some days the food taste amazing and others it seems like they got lazy. I have had good and bad experiences here, but none the less if you go on the right day you are sure to be please by the burgers.
