DO NOT COME HERE! I work nearby this restaurant and have stopped by on two occasions. Each time has been unpleasant and after today I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! The first time I ordered fountain drinks for my whole office, I was told by the cashier that my company needs to stop coming in for free refills... No one at my workplace is saving their cups and coming in for refills, I even double checked with my office members just to make sure. I let it slide and didn't think much of it because we rarely come to this establishment anyways. I really didn't appreciate the accusation in the moment but didn't want to make a big deal. Today I went inside holding my metal water canister and ordered a large drink. After paying, I was told by the same cashier as I'm walking to their drink station that "I better not fill my water canister with soda"... as I'm holding a large drink cup that I just purchased... like what?!? At this point I politely told the cashier this is already filled with water and she continues to look at me with a dirty look and sternly tells me again that I cannot fill my water bottle up with soda which I have never done before and never intended to do. Other customers waiting for their food also saw this as well and could not understand why they were singling me out. Before I had even gotten to the drink station, Im being scolded for something I didn't do and treated like I had done something wrong. Their fountain drinks are not cheap (over $3 for a large) but they are in the same plaza as my work so it's convenient even though there is gas station walking distance from this location. They are also an Asian owned and operated shop so I didn't mind paying a little more for the convenience and to support their business, when I could easily go to the gas station. From now on, I will. As an Asian American who likes to support Minority businesses, I will not be coming back here ever again, not even for a drink. This an Asian owned burger chain whose profiled me twice for doing absolutely nothing wrong. I rarely write reviews but had to put this out there after my experiences today. read more

What do you look for in a burger joint? Boy, that's a loaded question. In this humble reviewer opinion, In-n-Out (InO) is perhaps the standard that a lot of us look at in SoCal. So my question to ask is if a small hole in the wall can compete with the juggernaut of InO? This place convinced me that they can. The one thing most small burger joints underestimate is cleanliness. Not decor. Not dining room size. Not a drive thru. How many times have you been to a burger place and you could feel the grease on the floor? What about old, torn up and cracking leather on the seats? Yeah, I hate that feeling of eating at a place that just doesn't care. This place doesn't have any fancy decor. It's just some tables, a mounted TV and some fans. There are even some fridges that are in plain sight in the dining area. But still, this place is doing it right. It's small and simple but very clean and friendly. Keeping a shop clean is a good sign they care. So what about the staff? They are the highlight of this place: always super attentive, friendly and patient with their guests. They seem to really care about working here. It's so easy to find filthy shops with employees who don't care about anything other than a paycheck. You won't find that here. Like InO, the effort and care is right there. Food here is common fare, but always cooked to order and piping hot. You won't find wild food like a Wagyu burger with truffles and a side of caviar. I don't believe they have the supply chain to cook fresh beef and buns trucked in every day. Just good, solid burgers, cooked quickly, cleanly and with care. Are you picking on a theme brewing with this place? The Burgerstop cracked the code to In-n-Out. You have to care. The food, the dining area, the customers, and so on. So does this place best InO? No. It's just too small a David vs Burger Goliath. Prices can't compete and the dining area is too bare bones. But if you're in the area, and you want to eat at a place that actually cares about you and itself. Maybe consider dropping by. read more

May 1, aw 2018 Had this place booked marked a few days been waiting to come but they close so early. Today was the day to make it a mission on the bucket list. Could not find it so, I called them the brother directed us and he was very nice. So it is in a plain unassuming strip mall mostly business type with the exception of a donut shop. This will be hard to find if your going north it is on the right side of the street. No bright colors or landscapes to point out. Parking very limited since the other businesses share the same lot. So the food was made with family pride and it was so delicious and warrants a return visit very soon. They are very nice and serve very good food the price is good for what you get. They had best burgers in the area. My co-workers and I loved it so much, we ate here at least twice a week. Now it is changed to J's Teriyaki and Sushi. What a waste. Still owned by the same family, but the teriyaki chicken is so dry, like jerky. The rice is an abomination. I've been eating Japanese rice my entire life, but I have no idea what this garbage was. Avoid this place. They should have stuck with their burgers and sandwiches! read more

This is amazing guys. The original BurgerStop from Santa Ana opened a second location here in Norwalk. It's really borderline La Mirada -- right on Carmenita and South on Rosecrans. They're in a strip mall across from the 5 freeway/Lowe's. The sign is sort of small so don't look for the red and white lettering. But the food is just as delicious and the staff is amazing as always. I'm so glad they opened another location! read more

I love to give credit when the credit is due. First off, the food and quality is outstanding here. MOST of the staff here seem to be accommodating and friendly, all except for 1 person. We seemed to get off on the wrong burger upon my first visit. Today, she tried to confront and humiliate me about asking for a water cup. In a nutshell, this is how it started and ended: I drink a lot of water. I prefer to drink it out of a glass. On my first visit, I brought my own glass for water and ice.. nothing was said. Next visit, this employee told me that it wasn't fair for me to use my own cup for WATER and to stop. Next visit, I asked for a water cup. I work nearby so I fill the tiny, tiny PLASTIC ( wasteful and a expense to the establishment) cup with ice and bring it back to my desk to fill my GLASS cup with ice, when I go back to pick up my food I get another cup of ice and water and leave when my order is ready. I have done this several times. To keep the " peace" I put the cup, that they gave me, in my pocket to avoid Q & A about water routine. I just went for a breakfast burrito this morning and I asked for a water cup, same person who always throws me shade had the nerve to confront me and ask" why do you want a cup, you have your own". So, I said to her, " no, I don't have a cup because you told me not to bring it". in front of other customers, she got snippy and replied " yes you do! I see you do it ALL the time. ( get a life right? I mean, don't you have other things to do than worry about FREE water? ) You get the cup from your pocket and help yourself to soda and walk out" So, I got loud and said "NO, it is WATER, I don't drink soda". She turned around and had something sassy to say, something like.. yeah, that is what you say. All I had to say back was " whatever, I just won't come back". I hate to eat out in general unless it is at a upscale establishment with company, but since I work near and my co-workers raved about this place, I was going once a week or every other week for a snack AND WATER/ICE, WHEN I PAY FOR MY FOOD, NOT JUST SOME RANDOM HOOLIGAN ANNOYANCE WALKING IN OFF THE STREET. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL WHEN I ORDER, AND GET MY FOOD AND THIS PERSON FROM MY FIRST 2 VISITS ON HAS NOT DONE THE SAME IN RETURN. I asked for the hash browns to be crisply please at the time of my order before this scene took place and guess what, soggy potatoes. Good luck this business.. I am sure it will do fine because of the location in this industrial area. Must also be difficult to get better, more friendly help as that help wanted sign has been in the window since we moved into our office in September of 2019. read more

Tried this place on a yelp recommendation and since it's close to the office. Good selection of freshly made hamburgers, the French fries also tasted freshly made. I tried the bacon BBQ burger, really good. My coworker tried the chx with avocado sandwich, more meat than bun, which is always a good thing. Whenever I have to work on Saturday, I end up having to go out and buy food for everyone. It is really difficult to find a place that is decent, opens early, and fulfill the preferential criteria of 14 people. I was in a rush and did a quick search for "burgers" and this place popped up. Looked pretty new and the pictures looked good enough for me! So I hurried over and placed my big order. The lady at the front was truly kind. Exceptional customer service was provided as soon as I stepped in. I assumed I had to wait a bit since I had a big order and was told it would take around 20 minutes. I accepted and surely 20 or so minutes later out came the order. I had forgotten to put in the request to label all the orders, but the lady must have read my mind because everything was labeled for me. This made things so much more convenient for me! And of course the food. The food was all made to perfection. Normally I get at least half the people telling me the food was mediocre but this time around everyone was pleased and requested that I come here again whenever we have work on Saturday. I was pretty satisfied with the service and quality of the food this place had to offer. I will most definitely be coming back again in the near future! read more

The food here is soooo good! And affordable! They have the best fried zucchini which I crave often for some reason. The burgers are great too, I have tried the one with mushrooms and it's a 10/10. My husband and I visited this restaurant because of the positive yelp reviews. He ordered a pastrami sandwich and I ordered a chicken salad. My husband is a bit picky when it comes to pastrami, but this pastrami sandwich got my husband's top score. According to him, it was perfectly seasoned, not too salty and not too bland. The pastrami was very tasty and tasted fresh. I had the chicken salad and was pleasantly surprised to see that this one had a mix of different greens and not just iceberg lettuce like most other restaurants. The chicken, veggies and dressing were fresh and tasty. The restaurant itself has limited seating, but the floors, counters, tables and even kitchen look impeccably clean. I had serious cravings for a good burger and this place did not disappoint.  I had read reviews prior to going and I was very excited to try them since everyone seemed to rave about the food.  I ordered an avocado cheeseburger, a swiss mushroom burger, grilled cheese and fried zucchini.  All were tasty and quite satisfying.  Everyone was happy with everything ordered.  I will definitely return, particularly since this is a short drive away from home.  I can't wait to try all the other things on their menu. The ordering was easy and painless.  The service was professional.  It took a total of about 20 minutes from the time I phoned my order in to quickly picking up my food at the location and returning home.  Happy customer here! read more

Thank you Janet, I believe, was the front person's name and staff for the excellent customer service. I came in almost closeing time with a good size order, and was received as I was there first. Everything was cooked to order. Packed up for me to carry with a box. I did not, though I did, need to ask for extra ranch ketchup or napkins... A very pleasant first. Because of the extra time during this pandemic I've been taking the time to review places that I deem worthy of the extra attention, and they very much merit extra mention. I love a fat burger to comfort me from the stresses of life. In this area you have BK and Galaxy when I am going through on my delivery route. Been to Galaxy and they are not bad. The BurgerStop was pretty good on my first stop, I had there Bacon Avocado Burger with waffle fries which were satisfying. I thought, "definitely tasty while combining it with waffle fries. No doubt better than BK with the fresh and juiciness factor and a little different than galaxy. Definitely coming back at some point" I came back again for there Mushroom Swiss Burger with waffle fries. This time...I was blown away by the combination, "holy moly this is delicious. If not for my girlfriend nagging me about getting fat. I might make this a two time a week thing. Now it's a once a week place to go." For what it is, it's exactly what it needs to be: a consistent tasty burger. Hubs and I are both working from home due to shelter in place. My husband has been raving about these char burgers for awhile but since they close at 2 on Saturdays, I never got my chance until now. Husband has picked up lunch twice now within a week and a half.
